She had been ensnared and taken, her body wrapped in tight chains that pressed so tightly against her body that she cried out. A force was upon her body that she screamed. There was so much pain, she didn't know what was happening to her and why. She hadn't been doing anything and now her whole body felt like lightning was coursing through it. The swells of a thousand seas thrashed upon her body and she could do nothing against it.
She felt everything change and soon she felt she could cry out no longer.

"I'm s-sorry... p-please d-don't..." Maple chocked out. Hurt her? Kill her? She wasn't even sure what she was pleading. Did it even understand?
Maybe it did with how it seemed to relax its stance, though she didn't feel as much at ease herself. It almost looked as if it was curious with her. It took a careful step towards her, it reminded her of an animal - a normal one - with the way it approached. It looked like it was sniffing the air as a dog would. The girl remained where she was, tight and guarded. It was so close. It nudged her playfully and she let out a squeak.
"I...." Though, she was really unsure of what she wanted to say to it. A noise perhaps out of reflex as it nudged her again with no ill intent. Hesitantly, Maple pulled her hand from her chest and touched the creature. It was weird, cold and she wondered if that was what a cloud felt like. But it was .. kind of nice....
She sat in the field with it that day, thankful it didn't seem to need a conversation. Just a nice relaxing day in the tall grass. One of those few moments.
It was the only one with such a creature, though.

Complacency soon lead to wandering and soon the shadow found herself caught up in something unexpected and she found herself fighting once again. Was it just? Was there a reason? Even she was unsure. But maybe it was just to make sure she could later have some peace and quiet and that safe spot.

She began to notice a few of her cousins had stopped their sparring as well to watch.
"Were a bit clumsy with the sword," his gruff voice continued, walking to the weapons shed. "Le'sse how you do with the axe."
