A voice
At long last, we speak.
Shun furrowed his brow, looking around.
"Who said that?"
Me, silly. It is I, Penumbra.
He paused, staring down at his unchained weapon.
I am here to help...
Morgan
She was as beautiful as she was terrifying. Penumbra watched from afar as she could see the Sidhe Queen gracefully move to speak. Perhaps one day she can strike fear like her... For now, she just had to lay low. The Queen was angry.
Mordred
Confusion. They could never really fully understand what Mordred's true motives were. Whatever it was though, they couldn't trust him. He was not one of them.

Lancelot
From over a hedge, he could see a few knights gathered around a few fallen. They had come to town for one reason or another. That much didn't matter. A fight had broken out. Shun didn't see what the reason was, but he saw the way they fought.
It was impressive. That leader. Lancelot. He knew how to use a sword.
And thus, he decided it was time he learned too. He could brawl with the best of them, but maybe people would be less inclined to try and start s**t if he had a real blade. And knew how to use it.
Prison
Penumbra screamed. And screamed. Pain. Agony. Torment. It was all here. It seemed to all build up and then....
Nothing.
She was changed. Forever.
Sanctuary
Shun never had a family. Not really. He had vague memories of his father, but that man didn't matter to him. He was on his own. There were those who were.. okay. He supposed. That one girl kept insisting on feeding him. Annoying. Did that count as family though?
Nah. Not really.

The Future
Battle waged on all around. Smoke and flame surrounded him. But he couldn't take the time to breathe. He needed to get past the lines. Take out the one in charge. Getting there won't be easy. While he tried to survey the area to figure out where he was to go, he felt a sharp pain slide into his back.
He staggered forward before falling to the ground, coughing up blood.
Looking back, he only saw the outline of another knight before darkness claimed him.
Spirits of the Lake
A shadowy figure rested in a tree above him, looking down curiously.
"What are you doing?" it asked.
"None of your business," Shun grumbled in turn. He had a small bag of stolen goods. Reaching in, he furrows his brow as he takes a book out. He flipped through the pages before tossing it aside.
"Why did you throw that away?" the spirit asked, hopping down to examine the tome.
"It's of no use to me, now leave me alone."
Black Knight
Terrible times were upon them. Penumbra raced across the land, trying to get away from the bulk of the battle. It wasn't of any use, really. All she wanted was to have a place of her own. Not get caught up in this stupid war. She really didn't have a choice, though.
Maybe, just maybe she can survive through this.
Maybe.

Great Knight
There they all were. Standing gallantly or whatever it was great knights did. They all had to get there somehow. Battle prowess perhaps? He bet that was a part of it. And no doubt they lived far better than what he grew up on. Not bad. Not bad.
