It's back bitches... That's right! The League of Extraordinary Gaians has returned! Fantasy Football with a side of Gaian trash talking the way only we know how to do! First, I'd like to congratulate Kronik on winning last year, he played DOMINANTLY and came out with the Super Bowl win over Jason Byers. But now, it's a whole new year, and I'm looking for new members of the League! Who is going to step up and accept the challenge!? What's that? ******** NO I'm not explaining how fantasy football works anymore because I want REAL DAMN PLAYERS this time. 2014 Rankings: 1. Matt Stone 2. Jason Byers. 3. Hiro. 4. AJ Warner. 5. Mike Landry. 6. Bradley Harris. 7. Brantley Summers. 8. Gary Kirk. 9. Phoenixfire. 10. Salem Croft. That is the order in which we placed last year, BUT! That means that the draft order...is NOW IN REVERSE! So as it stands, Salem would receive the 1st draft pick, followed by PF, and so on. However, if someone drops out of the league and someone new takes their place, their place, they forfeit the assigned spot and MOVE TO THE BOTTOM BECAUSE I REWARD LOYALTY TO THE LEAGUE! So it is a challenge! But guess who got the first draft pick last season? It was Phoenixfire, and she wound up in second to last, so ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN! Alright, so this thread is officially accepting letters of interest from potential new members of the league, and you will be notified if and when you are accepted. I can say that there will be new members this year, but not how many, and people who sign up first, will get better draft priority.

We' re drafted, and the teams are set. Time to analyze the results.
The Champ is Here Starting Roster: QB: Matt Ryan RB1: Demarco Murray RB2: Justin Forsett WR1: AJ Green WR2: Golden Tate TE: Jimmy Graham FLEX: Torrey Smith D/ST: Patriots K: Connor Barth
Summary: Ooooh where so I begin? First, let's start with this. We're in an 8 team league, so at first glance, this may look like a stellar team, but looking closer, this is the team you want at the END of the season after you found your hidden gems and dropped your dead weight. Why is that a bad thing right now? Because the gems were still available when the dead weight got drafted. Starting at the QB position, Matt Ryan is NOT a bad quarterback for fantasy by any means, but in such a small league, there was better to be had. For example? TOM BRADY AND MATTHEW STAFFORD, who both went 1 and 2 rounds after the Matt Ryan pick respectively. Fantasy studs were passes up for whatever reason for a consistent 18 points a week. I don't get it. Moving on to Demarco and Forsett, who again, at the end of the year last year were amazing, but this is a tight league, and Forsett isn't the answer. I'm also sketchy on the Demarco choice, as the Eagles have a good offensive line, but not as good as the Number Ones on the Dallas Cowboys that helped Demarco wrack up his numbers. This being a PPR league will help Demarco, but I don't foresee his number one back status he had last year repeating. Remember, they still have four QBs in Phili to choose from. Now for the four receivers, Green, Tate, Graham and Smith. To be clear, there are no conditions in which I ever select Torrey Smith to start on my fantasy team. He's a coverage nightmare and posts far too many goose eggs. Tate I beleive is a hidden gem that could and has Outscored Calvin Johnson on weekly occasions, so good call there. AJ Green is a franchise back, usually a number one wideout, but his production has dropped, and he's getting figured out. That, and Cincinatti is finally figuring out their running game with the dynamic 1, 2 punch of Giovanni Bernard and Jeremy Hill, so his targets may drop. And finally, Jimmy Graham. Graham is consistently THE tight end you want on your team...in New Orleans...now he's in Seattle where the wideout options are much more plentiful, the running back gets more targets in the passing game, and the QB scores with his feet, in which situation, Jimmy's expected to block. I predict his scoring gets cut in half from his average scores. As for the Patriots...just...WHY? Darrelle Revis is GONE. Vince Wilfork is GONE. Brandon Browner is GONE. And the Pats are facing the toughest AFC East in a decade, without Tom Brady for possibly four games. As for Kicker Connor Barth, there's not much to be said. Word is he's progressed from last season, and the Denver Kicker is always a nice thing to have, so good pick there.
Overall, I think too many risks were taken, and I don't foresee The Champ Is Here being HERE at the end of the season. Sure, Leveon Bell is stashed away for two weeks on your bench, but you took a risk on him, why not Brady?!

Fifty Shades of Jonas Gray Starting Roster: QB: Tony Romo RB1: Jamaal Charles RB2: Alfred Morris WR1: Demarius Thomas WR2: Julio Jones TE: Jason Witten FLEX: Kelvin Benjamin D/ST: Bilłs K: Stephen Gostkowski
Summary: The runner up from last season, Jason Byers, goes and makes the mistake I made with my first pick last year. Jamaal Charles! And he's an even more treacherous pick than he was a year before. The Cheifs finally have a passing option in their game, Jeremy Maclin, and now Charles has a committee to take the load, and points, off of him. As for Alfred Morris? He's never been a reliable RB2 in a ten team league, and were down to 8, so I have to beleive better options were available. (Mark Ingram...Lamar Miller...Andre Ellington...Jonathan Stewart...just to say a few...) But this team is not unsalvageable, Tony Romo is a great fantasy QB if not a great REALITY QB, and the receiving options Jason has in Demarius Thomas, Julio Jones, Kevlin Benjamin, and Jason Witten, will rack up points week after week. But when it comes to the rest of the team? The Bills D? Like I said, this is the strongest AFC East in a decade, so choosing a Defense in that division might be a fatal flaw, Rex Ryan or not. Kicker Stephen Gostkowski is a solid pick, but there's one problem...HES KICKING AGAISNT YOUR OWN DEFENSE TWICE A YEAR!
Summary: Overall this is a strong team, or has the potential to be if certain gambles pay off, but the odds are long. The strength at RB needs to be addressed, but a playoff run is not unachievable.

Evisceration Plague Starting Roster: QB: Drew Brees RB1: Adrian Peterson RB2: Matt Forte WR1: Randall Cobb WR2: Mike Evans TE: Josh Hill FLEX: Jeremy Hill D/ST: Dolphins K: Cody Parkey
Summary: Drew Brees has consistently been one of the best fantasy QBs in the game, but...that was when he had Jimmy Graham. He also lives in a time where his running backs are his most reliable options with Mark Ingram and C.J. Spiller, with an improved defense that lends itself to a run heavy attack. We'll have to see if Brees can make a new receiver famous. The running backs are strong, Adrian Peterson, Matt Forte, and Jeremy Hills, all fantasy studs, especially with Matt Forte benefiting from new coach John Fox who loves to run the football and use his running backs creatively as he did in Denver. With the wideouts, however, the risk is a bit greater. Randall Cobb is reliable week to week, but Mike Evans is breaking in a new QB, and didn't live up to the billing last year of being the breakout among his rookie wideout peers. There is one thing on this roster that perplexes me...who the hell is Josh Hill? I can only imagine you were trying to click on Jeremy Hill and picked a tight end instead. Again, Dolphins are a strong team, but are in the best AFC East there has been in a decade, so Ndomakin Suh or not, Dolphins aren't winning you any weeks by themselves. I also think you could have done better than Cody Parkey as a kicker, as Matt Bryant, Dan Bailey, and Matt Prater were all still available.
Overall, not a bad team. You'll be counting on your runners week to week to lead you to victory, but you might have to find a new QB down this line, which will be costly and might require you to trade Peterson or Cobb. Dangerous!

Tom Brady's Bounce House Starting Roster: QB: Andrew Luck RB1: Marshawn Lynch RB2: Frank Gore WR1: Jordy Nelson WR2: Brandon Marshall TE: Martellus Bennett FLEX: Giovanni Bernard D/ST: Seahawks K: Robbie Gould
Summary: Let's look at the most impressive move on this roster, Andrew Luck! The guy knows how to put up fantasy points, and so far that's only been because of the distinct lack of a running game, but now he has to work with Frank Gore, who Angel also drafted in hopes of double dipping. Luck also has the benefit of Andre Johnson, who can take double coverage attention away from T.Y. Hilton, and free up even more long TD passes. HOWEVER...your bench says Tom Brady, which puts you in an unenviable position in which you have to choose..."Who do I start this week?" It's a choice that often kills fantasy teams. Of course, Tommy Boy can be trade fodder to make your team stronger, (hint hint Draze, QB is available...) Marshawn is a garunteed starter every week, nothing bad to say about him, but Frank Gore is getting long in the tooth, so I'm not sure his presence is much more than teaching the young running backs on the Colts roster. Jordy Nelson is a solid pick, but his years are stacking up, and Randall Cobb is the number one in Green Bay, if you don't count RB Eddie Lacey. Brandon Marshall, however, is a terrible choice. Geno Smith is out with a broken jaw, and they don't have anyone better to replace him, which is terrifying in that devision. Martellus Bennet is a solid TE, and surprisingly, a dark horse still in this age of the weak Tight End. Giovanni Bernard is a head scratcher, as Jeremy Hill has taken the starting job from the oft injured Gio in Cincinatti, especially given that this was a FLEX pick, and there were a ton of options left, including Julius Thomas and Roddy White. As for the Defense? It's the Seahawks, you cannot go wrong. Robbie Gould is an average kicker, depending on the matchup, could be good, could be bad.
Overall, strong roots, with room to grow. I suggest trading Tom Brady to the first person who offers a real quality wideout, and go from there monitoring the waiver wire. The number one pick isn't always a good thing.

Team McKenney Starting Roster: QB: Russell Wilson RB1: C.J. Anderson RB2: Todd Gurley WR1: Antonio Brown WR2: Alshon Jeffery TE: Zach Ertz FLEX: Emmanuel Sanders D/ST: Rams K: Matt Prater
Summary: The first thing I notice when I look at this team is several same team matchups. Rams and Gurley, Anderson and Sanders, etc. while sometimes it's nice to mp double dip on a team to garuntee points on a drive, it also leaves you vulnerable to bye week matchups. There are three players who have a 7th week bye, two on week 6, and two on week 9. That's a recipe for disaster, and those disasters are coming week after week after week on this schedule. When I look at it individually, the prognosis is even bleaker. Todd Gurley is not a proven every down back, and Alson Jeffery is not a true number one wideout without Brandon Marshall to take attention away from him. Zack Ertz also has several tight ends in Phili to contend with, so expect stolen points. On the flip side, C.J. Anderson is a stellar RB who has taken the number one running job through 'kicking and screaming' in Denver, and he deserves it. Plus, with Kubiak's new run heavy offense being installed, you can expect even better numbers out of him. Antonio Brown is the best wideout in the NFL today, but you can't expect a season like last year where he did it completely under the radar. He'll be great, but not that great. Emmanual Sanders is a solid Flex, deserving of a WR2 slot, so that was a great pick. Russell Wilson also cannot be discounted, able to score with his arm and his legs, throwing very few picks in between, but he's also going to be scoring on YOUR OWN DEFENSE. I don't like the Rams D, especially in this team, or Matt Prater, but given the timing of the picks, there wasn't much left at that point.
Overall it's another solid team, but some hard choices will have to be made. Be active on the waiver wire of you want success.

The Fratoland Raiders Starting Roster: QB: Peyton Manning RB1: Lamar Miller RB2: Johnathan Stewart WR1: Calvin Johnson WR2: Brandin Cooks TE: Rob Gronkowski FLEX: Latavius Murray D/ST: Texans K: Steven Haushka
Summary: Like I said in the last summary, bye weeks are pivotal to control. Hiro made the same mistake, however, as the last team was auto drafted, HIRO DID THIS ON PURPOSE! Both his running backs are on bye week 5, and he loses three players on week 9. But let's look at the actual players. Peyton Manning, a sure fire 1st or 2nd round pick every other year...except this one. Peyton Manning is lining up in a new offense, behind an offensive line that has FOUR PLAYERS THAT HAVE ZERO STARTS LAST SEASON! THATS TERRIFYING! That, and it's a run heavy offense, so do t expect anything close to 50 touchdowns this season. Among his running backs, I have to beleive Latavius Murray is the best one, and that is his flex. Murray put up crazy numbers in his few starts last season, and will take tons of pressure off of Carr. Miller is hit or miss, depending on the matchup, but has big number potential thanks to the PPR setting. Stewart is the number one running back Carolina has been looking for for years, but they also just fount Kelvin Benjamin, and Greg Olson is finally living up to his potential, so I worry about his touches dwindling. Calvin Johnson, amazingly, has the same problem. Detroit found its number one back in Joique Bell, and has Golden Tate on the other side of the field who is arguable BETTER fantasy wise as he doesn't get double covered. Brandin Cooks in New Orleans now has a ton of pressure on him with Jimmy Graham leaving to Seattle, and Marques Colston getting long in the tooth. Thankfully, Rob Gronkowski is here to make up for those lost points, as long as you ignore the games Tom Brady won't be playing in. The Texans D isn't anything special unless you're counting of J.J. Watt to score a TD every game, but you do have Haushka who is damn near automatic in field goals, so there's that.
Overall, I'd consider trading Amari Cooper and someone else for a more solid running back, because as good as this team looks, the story reads differently...

Dead Scared Starting Roster: QB: Aaron Rodgers RB1: Mark Ingram RB2: Carlos Hyde WR1: Odell Beckham Jr. WR2: T.Y. Hilton TE: Julius Thomas FLEX: Jordan Matthews D/ST: Cardinals K: Justin Tucker
Summary: This team is a definite sleeper team for just about every single reason, except the Quarterback of course. Aaron Rodgers is a stud IRL and in fantasy. From there? It's all a gamble. First, I love Mark Ingram, as long as C.J. Spiller doesn't take too many carries or catches away. You may not have heard, but Ingram has multiple 100 yard rushing games, and a few receiving. Carlos Hyde has big shoes to fill with the loss of Frank Gore, and has the potential to be a superstar the way the 49ers have lost their talent this offseason. Carlos' success is all up to him, which is quite the opposite to my next player on the list, OBJ. Beckham won't surprise anyone this year, this kid is amazing, but now he has double coverage to worry about. So this year, OBJs success depends on how good, and how healthy, Victor Cruz can be. Against all logic, Cruz scoring TDs makes OBJ more of a threat. T.Y. Hilton is actually in the same exact boat. Just replace Victor Cruz with Andre Johnson, and it's the same story. Julius Thomas was a terrible pick, as it's already announced that he's 'injured' himself after getting his big payday in Jacksonville, where he could actually thrive being Blake Bortles best friend, but Julius lacks heart, and I don't think he wants to look bad on this bad Jacksonville team. Jordan Matthews will be a boo or bust player strictly in the realm of Flex players, I do t forsee a game in which he scores more than ten points. The Cardinals D is a great pick, providing they can keep up their production they had last year, where they had one of the weakest opposing schedules in the league. Justin Tucker is an average kicker. So look for matchups there.
Overall, like I said, it's a gamble team, but has legit potential to pay off big depending on how the season plays out, but definitely keep an eye of the waiver wire. I'd advise trading Matt Stafford for a WR 1 or 2 to replace your Flex or TE weakness.

Kam on your face Starting Roster: QB: Ben Roethlisberger RB1: Eddie Lacy RB2: Lesean McCoy WR1: Dez Bryant WR2: Julian Edelman TE: Greg Olson FLEX: Andre Ellington D/ST: Broncos K: Adam Vinatieri
Summary: I'm going to TRY and be hard on myself, but to be honest, this was my best draft I've ever done, so let's do this. Ben Roethisburger scored several 50+ point games last year, in a row now less, so picking him up late was a steal. My first pick was Eddie Lacy, but I wanted Marshawn Lycnh who amazingly went first overall. I'm not upset, the guys a fantasy stud, so he won't let me down. Lesean McCoy could be a liability honestly, as big of a name that he is, he doesn't have a true QB to throw to him, and he's clearly the best player on the team, so the pressure will be on. However that's the same problem his had in Phili, and Phili didn't have Sammy Watkins, so it might be alright! Dez Bryant is another risk after getting his big payday, and losing Demarco Murray who took attention away from him when it comes to the Safety position. Julian Edelman I'm not expecting to do much for me as long as Tom Brady is suspended, but when he comes back, he's a boom or bust player. Greg Olson I k ow first hand can outscore even Jimmy Graham in painful 30 point scoring games, so I've very comfortable with that pick. Andre Ellington is a mystery, as he's injury prone, but has explosive speed, and is a glorified slot receiver from the running back position. However, if he is injured again, I was able to steal Aryan Foster for my bench, so once he comes back, I'll have 3 #1 RBs. The Broncos defense needs to be the dominant machine they are paid to be. The big names on that side of the ball demand big numbers, but with the high scoring games the Offense likes to put up, the D will be tired, and out to work. Adam Vinatieri is the best kicker of the modern era, nuff said. But the best part of this team? Only Eddie Lacy and my D share a bye week, which is exactly the way I wanted it to go.
Overall, sorry not sorry, but I expect to win. Bye weeks win bye weeks, but in an 8 team league, ANYTHING can happen. Good luck!

Ladies and Gentlemen, the playoffs went as followed:
Suck My Ditka and Evisceration Plague were thrown out of the league due to being bots, inserting my team, the Fratoland Raiders, into the Playoffs in the sixth seed with a 5-8 win/loss record. In the first round of the playoffs, another bot team, The Pain Train, along with the league number one seed Kam on your face, received first round byes.
In the first round of the Playoffs, the game between my Fratoland Raiders, and Jason Byers' The Fall of Romo, went as followed:
The Fratoland Raiders (113)
QB: Jameis Winston (14) RB1: Lamar Miller (20) RB2:LeSean McCoy (14) WR1: Calvin Johnson (2) WR2: Brandin Cooks (5) TE: Rob Gronkowski (18 ) FLEX: Eddie Lacey (22) D/ST: Chiefs (13) K: Steven Hauschka (5)
def.
The Fall of Romo (99)
QB: Andy Dalton (0) RB1: Danny Woodhead (3) RB2: Duke Johnson Jr. (8 ) WR1: Jarvis Landry (20) WR2: Jeremy Maclin (12) TE: Delanie Walker (14) FLEX: Julio Jones (15) D/ST: Rams (13) K: Stephen Gostkowsi (11)
With that, The Fratoland Raiders moved on to a match with Mike Landry's Kam on your face, the team that had dominated the entire league all season. He had the best record in the league and I had the worst, leading to an interesting match up in the conference finals.
In the Conference Finals, the game between The Fratoland Raiders and Kam on your face went as followed...
The Fratoland Raiders (121)
QB: Vacant (0) RB1: LeSean McCoy (3) RB2: David Johnson (52) WR1: John Brown (12) WR2: Vacant (0) TE: Rob Gronkowski (16) FLEX: Lamar Miller (4) D/ST: Chiefs (21) K: Steven Hauschka (13)
def.
Kam on your face (114)
QB: Blake Bortles (23) RB1: Denard Robinson (16) RB2: Brandon Bolden (6) WR1: Larry Fitzgerald (7) WR2: Michael Floyd (12) TE: Greg Olsen (19) FLEX: Doug Baldwin (20) D/ST: Broncos (5) K: Brandon McManus (3)
Before anyone asks, the Lions were on Monday Night Football and I was start Matt Stafford and Calvin Johnson, but took them out of my line up so there was NO chance I would lose any points. I defeated Mike Landry to make it to the Super Bowl, but there was still the matter of finding out who I would face. The winner of the first round game between Brad's It Takes a King and the defending champ Matt Stone's Don't Call it a Comeback would get an automatic trip to the Super Bowl as The Pain Train was a bot and was disqualified.
The game between It Takes a King and Don't Call if a Comeback went as follows...
It Takes a King (101)
QB: Aaron Rodgers (20) RB1: T.J. Yeldon (7) RB2: Devonta Freeman (7) WR1: Odell Beckam Junior (36) WR2: Jordan Matthews (4) TE: Travis Kelce (4) FLEX: DeSean Jackson (6) D/ST: Cardinals (11) K: Justin Tucker (6)
def.
Don't Call it a Comeback (86)
QB: Ben Roethlisberger (7) RB1: Thomas Rawls (4) RB2: Shaun Draughn (6) WR1: A.J. Green (26) WR2: Martavis Bryant (11) TE: Tyler Eifert (6) FLEX: Dez Bryant (1) D/ST: Seahawks (10) K: Chandler Catanzaro (12)
Brad defeated Matt Stone to make his way to the Superbowl against myself. Brad, who I believe didn't even make the playoffs last season, was set to take on myself, who came in third place last year behind Matt Stone and Jason Byers. That Super Bowl took place today, and this is the outcome of the championship game between the two worst records in the league.
The Fratoland Raiders (117)
QB: Derek Carr (14) RB1: Latavius Murry (21) RB2: David Johnson (20) WR1: Amari Cooper (3) WR2: John Brown (11) TE: Rob Gronkowski (12) FLEX: Brandin Cooks (25) D/ST: Chiefs (6) K: Steven Hauschka (5)
def.
It Takes a King (115)
QB: Aaron Rodgers (1) RB1: Devonta Freeman (17) RB2: Tim Hightower (32) WR1: Jordan Matthews (23) WR2: DeSean Jackson (8 ) TE: Travis Kelce (16) FLEX: Gary Barnidge (7) D/ST: Steelers (0) K: Graham Gano (8 )
So...Yeah. I'm happily able to bring to all of you that I am the winner of the second season of the League of Extraordinary Gaians. No one gave me much of a chance before the season, and my record didnt live up to my own expectations. However, I did it. I won the league, and went from third to first. It was a good game, and I will say that I am glad I was able to overcome a s**t season from Calvin Johnson, the worst fall from grace I've ever seen in Peyton Manning, and drafting two RBs that didnt get going until well after half way point of the season. I am the champion.
Im going to assume Landry is going to say something at some point so Im gonna leave it at that. I look forward to next season, and I am glad to join Matt Stone as champions.
