Back dated to 5/22 After her meeting with Babylon, Ciel had decided that she would ask Faust if he could sync her up to the Senshi phones. She carried the banker box that held her donations to Black Watch for the week. She had decided she didn't need to change out of her archery outfit before dropping off her donations since she wasn't sure if Faust would be there and she didn't want to miss him.
She made her way into the cat cafe and said hello to the owner. The man she better knew as Thraen. She handed him the box and looked around for the black cat in question.
Once she spotted him she made her way over to him and petted him to get his attention. "Faust can I speak to you in private." She whispered to him.

The large feline spent the better part of his morning lounging languidly in a ray of sun. It hit the pillows well, pillows that were sadly of darker reds and violets to hide the presence of fur. Over the course of hours, he changed into increasingly uncomfortable-looking positions that would've broken a human's spine without effort. But Faust was happy, and strangers crooned over his size and softness, which meant that all was well in his world.
Since the Catfé opened, Faust found surprisingly little trouble in asserting himself over the strays borrowed from no-kill shelters. Most just meowed and took his word for it, while others tried to fight and failed. Either that, or Quenton came in to break up the fight. Interestingly, any Mauvians arriving hadn't moved in yet, so he remained the uncontested Lord and Ruler of the Cat Café.
He didn't care if Lord and Ruler was redundant, either. It sounded just badass enough for him.
Faust stretched while upside down, and recoiled slightly when he felt a hand press upon his belly. It wasn't unwelcome; Faust eased back into the stretch until he heard the girl speak. One eye cracked open, and he watched the girl for any sign of recognition. She looked like no one he knew, but if she knew his real name... The Mauvian righted himself instantly and retreated to the Pillow Room, hoping she might follow.

Ciel followed the fluffy black cat into another room and once she was sure they had some privacy she spoke up. "Merci! You probably don't recognize me like this but I'm Hyperborea." She said powering up into Hyperborea to demonstrate. She quickly powered back down since she didn't want to draw a Youma to the cafe with her aura.
"Anyways I wanted to ask you if you sync my ring up to Senshi phones." She hoped Faust would be able to do this since she didn't really know any other Mauvians.
"A mercury knight told me that mauvians could link a knight's ring to the Senshi phones so I was hoping you could help me." She explained.

In a more private space, Faust was able to speak at length without risking the exposure to less knowledgeable patrons. He paced to a small mound of pillows, where he sat upon the lot of them. His great lengths of fur fanned out like a halo surrounding his butt. "Yeah, s**t, I wouldn't have recognized you at all. Good to see you around, though." She seemed pretty proactive about going through the knight business, which was a welcome change compared to their more laissez-faire companions. The lessons from Penthesilea undoubtedly helped with combating youma and Negaverse officers, too, so she wasn't simply relegating her time to learning of her senshi friends and feeling out powered life.
"Err, sync it up?" Faust, having been one of the least technologically-inclined senshi, managed to only find successes with bashing said technology around. It became the go-to fix for computer problems, cell phone problems, and vermin problems. He learned quickly that kicking anything enough times generally produces results - even if they weren't the results he initially expected. "I can give it a shot. Dunno if it'll work, but if it does, you should be able to talk to me on my cat communicator. It's a pretty fancy-lookin' thing, haven't used it much yet, but it's s'posed to call senshi phones just fine."
The cat stood at attention, eyes on his companion. She's comin' to me for tech help. In yo' face, Ash.
"So where's the ring? You need to power up to grab it? If you do, uh... We gonna need to back up outta this fine establishment. I can hole up in your purse or somethin' and you can bring me outside. Quenton's pretty adamant about not attractin' a ton of attention to the Cat Café."

"well it can't hurt to try." She said with a smile glad he was willing to help.
"Hmm well the ring is still here when I power down." she said taking off a ring that to everyone else would look just like a cheap trinket. "I can still send and recieve messages from it when I'm powered down." She thought for a moment remembering what she had been told about. "However the seal, which is the magical part of it, is enchanted so that when I'm powered down only I can see it. So I'm not sure if that will effect synching it to the phones or not. Probably better safe then sorry."
She set down her purse and opened it for her furry companion to climb in. She was glad she had taken one of her relatively larger purses today so that Faust hopefully wouldn't feel to cramped. "So do you Mauvians have a safe place we can go, or do you just want me to find an empty alleyway?" she asked.
"Oh do you want to let Thra..er Quenton know where your going first?" She wasn't sure what kind of relationship the two had, would Thraen worry if Faust suddenly left or was that common.

"Er, I don't actually have a special place." Faust climbed into the bag readily and curled about until he was certain he could be comfortable. "I mean, there's Destiny Tower where cat HQ is, but I dunno if senshi can go in there. Never tried it myself. It's kinda far anyway. Just pick a nice sketchy alley and we should be good." There weren't many near Quenton's business, but the blonde had foresight enough to pick an area somewhat near some private drives. The ample foliage and intended coverage there should be enough to preserve their identities.
"Oh, and you don't need to worry about tellin' Quenton I'm out. He knows I do s**t on my own, so he won't be lookin' for me unless I'm gone for days or some s**t. It's fine." And with the cat communicator now available, any worries would be assuaged by calling Faust's nifty earpiece. He hadn't used it yet, but he fancied it was pretty useful.
"Thing is, though," Faust continued while he looked up at her from the confines of her bag, "that ring don't look like anything magical to me. Jus' looks like some cheap plastic thing you got outta one of those quarter dispensers. No offense, I mean, it's your knight ring or some s**t, but it just don't... Look all that impressive to me." Weren't knights supposed to have some badass vibe going on? Not that Hyperborea did when he first met her, she looked more like a lost girl from a ball, but he hoped that the rings were supposed to look somewhat fascinating. Or have some kind of heraldry to them or something. He wasn't sure.
Faust sniffed around the bag's contents while he gave directions. "So yeah, out the door, to the right, take the second right you see and go down there for a bit. There should be some kinda weird courtyard that everyone avoids cuz it looks like prime youma territory. Or you can use the private drive that goes near it - just hop the brick wall near the courtyard thing."

"Sounds good to me." She said to her feline companion. Once she was sure he was secure in her bag she made her way out of the cafe.
"Oh don't worry, it may look cheap right now but just wait." She said with a smile as she followed Faust's directions to the courtyard.
Once she was confident they had their privacy she set her bag down to allow Faust to get out. She transformed into Hyperborea again. She took off her signet ring and held it out for her furry friend. "Does this look better?"
The ring now looked like it was supposed to. The golden ring was engraved with stars, the white stones were engraved with antlers, and the purple head stone was proudly engraved with the symbol of hyperborea (the tri-star infinity symbol).

"Oh, sheeit," the Mauvian cursed quietly once he witnessed the ring. No longer a trinket, it now looked like something of importance. He caught it in his cat jaws as he leapt out of the bag, and sat for a moment on the cool grass before he set the ring on the ground. Most objects received a spit, but this one looked small enough to lose within the unkept courtyard.
"Yeah, way better. Looks like somethin' I can work with now." Except a glaring issue reared its head once he considered it - how was he to get the ring to communicate compatibly with a cat communicator, or any senshi device? Faust wasn't any more adept with technology than the average layman; if there was a sync button on the pair, that would answer that, but what if it involved opening it up and tinkering with the guts? He hoped not; if that were the case, then he might have to take it to Ash.
That was a problem he'd rather brush under the rug.
"Awright. Let's see if I can do this." Faust activated his communicator and a small screen was projected outward. He touched an icon that looked like a person, which brought up some information he couldn't read (thus Faust was the type to use pictures to navigate). "So uh, here's the thing. I should be able to type in yo' information and then be able to text you if this ring is able to talk to phones. If it don't work, then it might not be compatible or somethin'. I can talk to one o' the other guardian cats to see what went wrong if that happens. Anyway, I'm gonna need you to spell your name here and enter in your information. You can jus' push the projected buttons." And Faust conveniently left off his illiteracy.Aurelius Ambrosius have you done the prior knight quest requirements for an upgraded ring to network with phones?

Strickenized sort of, I've started all the reqs for the quest but some of the rps are still ongoing. Also sorry this took so long Hyperborea was glad to see the guardian cat handle her signet ring carefully, she wasn't sure if it had magic to protect it from being lost and she didn't really want to be searching the courtyard for it.
She looked at the small screen that projected from the mauvian's communicator. "So do you want just Hyperborea or Hyperborea of Cosmos, and what about my rank?" She asked as she began typing in her information.
Once her information was in she looked at Faust hopefully. "Alright lets test this out." she said picking up and putting back on her ring.

"Uh, jus' follow the directions... It'll tell you what to do." Or so he hoped. Faust wasn't entirely sure what it said - as the communicators lacked a voice option, and the Mauvian himself was illiterate, he didn't know how to use his communicator beyond the obvious pictures. And he never really bothered with learning, since he had Thraen to read off anything he might need to know. Embarrassment suggested that it might be time to change that and embark on reading lessons with his cat-obsessed senshi.
Faust assumed that she finished entering her data and hit the correct button, because the screen closed down and returned to default. While he was still at the projection screen, Faust touched the human-shaped icon, then found Hyperborea's image in his contacts list, and pressed it with a soft kitty paw to start a call. "I'll be straight wit'chu here, I dunno how this s**t's gonna work. If it's gonna ring like a phone would or come up with some kinda projection, or turn my voice into a text message or what. But I guess we'll see in a minute, right?" Faust hoped for some kind of projection - it seemed the most useful out of all the basic guesses he fired off.
But the communicator rang in his ear, suggesting they had a connection regardless.

Strickenized Sorry this took so long but I think we can start bringing this to a wrap Hyperborea felt the alert in her head telling her that she had a call. She touched her ring and a little hologram of the mauvian appeared. "It worked. Merci! I owe you one Faust!" She said picking up the guardian cat and hugging him.
She blushed a little remembering that he was a mauvian and not a normal cat. She wasn't sure if it was ok to just pick up a mauvian like it was to do with a normal house cat.
"Sorry. But really thank you." She said putting the black cat down. "Do you want a ride back to the cat cafe."

"Damn," he started once he saw a hologram of himself, "that is one sexy ca-"
And then arms shifted about his feline waist and hoisted him into the air for a firm hug. Faust offered no complaints to this - having lived with Quenton for over a year now, he grew accustomed to constant physical contact and other borderline-intolerable offenses to felinekind. A hug proved relatively benign by comparison, and she was warm, so Faust only hung limply in her hands until she relinquished him to the ground. Afterward he shook slightly to right some of his rubbed fur and took a seat against the pavement.
"Ain't no thing, Hype." The black Mauvian closed his eyes happily. "And don't worry 'bout takin' me back to the cafe. Since I'm out, I figure I'll go checkin' around for some new senshi. Cat's job is never done and all that. Have fun wit'cho ring - just, uh, remember not to call me when I'm sleepin'." The cat stood abruptly and rushed off along the sidewalk, eager to start on his duties for the remainder of the night.Aurelius Ambrosius don't worry about it! fin~
