Towa No Hana, a dainty flower shop located off one of the quieter streets of the town and constantly decked with a variety of flowers made available to its patrons for various occasions or even for something as simple as a leisurely ikebana arrangement or a gift for a friend throughout the entire year.
Carnations. Roses. Orchids. Almost every type of flower that one could possibly think of could be found in this little shop. In the event that one could not find a flower that one desired or needed help identifying a flower for a particular occasion, the kindly Haka shopkeeper or one of his trusty Gehaka workers would always be available to offer their assistance. Even place an order for the required flora at a reasonable price if it was not in stock.
All one had to do, was ask. It was as simple as that...

Shuffling his way down the semi-deserted street in unhurried steps with a lone Gehaka in tow, the red-haired Haka known as Aya stopped suddenly in mid-stride in the middle of the street directly in front of his intended destination. The Towa No Hana.
It was beyond doubt one of his favourite shops to frequent in this town, given its quiet location a little distance away from the usually busy marketplace as well as one of his favourite pasttimes being that of ikebana arrangement. Aya would usually come with his brother Itsuki just as he had done during his previous visits to the shop, but since said younger sibling was away on a family errand of sorts today, the company of another Gehaka would have to do in order to ensure his own safety.
As violet orbs looked the shop once through to admire the beauty of the flowers that were on display, Aya sniffed the air a little before allowing a rare smile to curve the edges of his lips. There was a vaguely sweet fragrance in the air. One of the many testimonies to the fact that spring was nearly upon them once again.
With any luck, perhaps he could draw some inspiration from the collection of floral available today for a suitable ikebana arrangement or two as a gift to some of his closest friends...

Hikaru looked up from his spot on the street, his hair sticking slightly to his face. He had found a gold coin in the street and was wondering who it belonged to ((See Main Street)). Looking up, Hikaru saw The Towa No Hana, a beautiful flower shop that he had never ventured into, save for once when his mother sent him in to get some flowers for a guest. He spotted a red-haired Haka looking over the flowers. Was this gold coin his? Hikaru wouldn't take the chance of the Haka thinking he had stolen it, but impulsively wiped the grime off of the coin onto his black pants and entered the shop.
The fragrance the met him almost made him dizzy. Yes, he remembered that time not too long ago when he had entered The Towa No Hana. He crept almost too quietly over to the red haired Haka and bowed low, holding his hand and the coin over his head. "Excuse me, majesty, but I found this gold coin on the street, and if it please you, sire, I wish to return it to you if you have indeed lost it." The white haired Gehaka glanced up at the beautiful Haka, hoping that it had, indeed, been his coin.

Upon hearing someone addressing him, Aya turned slowly to face the other person, his face momentarily expressionless as violet orbs cast their gaze upon the polite Gehaka who was currently bowed low before him with a single gold coin in an outstretched hand as though he was being presented with a gift.
Now this was certainly something that didn't happen very often. A Gehaka approaching a Haka on his own accord despite knowing very well the possible outcomes of such an encounter, with quite a number of them being not too pleasant in nature. Add that to the fact that most of the inhabitants in this town were well aware of his identity as one of the higher ranking Hakas in these parts, it wouldn't come as a surprise that most people would think twice, maybe thrice, before plucking up the courage to cross his path.
A quick glance over at his Gehaka escort next told Aya what he needed to know. The coin was not his. Of course, he could always lie and claim the coin for himself but the Fujimiya clan Haka wasn't interested in such a petty act. The figure before him looked like he could use the money more than himself. Afterall, he deserved some form of reward for his courage and honesty.
"It's not mine. You may keep it... what's your name..?"

The raven haired Gehaka had the day off. Everyone at the farm had the day off. Why? It was his mother's birthday, and the haka wanted to relax in peace. So everyone was once again, kicked out. Yori walked into the shop, and peered around, making sure to stay away from the others inside. His mother loved flowers, though rarely got them. The tanned Gehaka had money pulled from his mother's husbands, who had all sent him on the errand. Sada knew the little haka better than any of them.
The blue eyes peered around as he tried to figure out which ones would be the best...

Hikaru glanced up for a minute. The coin was not his? How could that be? Well, surely being of a lowly status, Hikaru couldn't keep the coin. When the Haka told Hikaru he could keep it, Hikaru looked up at him in disbelief. "I can... what? Oh! Thank you sire, thank you sir..." He stuffed the coin into his pant pocket and looked back up at the Haka, almost forgetting his place for a moment.
"Amaya, Hikaru majesty... I'm sorry if I interrupted you... may I go sir?" He asked, bowing low, hoping he had not offended the Haka. He knew it was a grave thing to talk to a Haka without being addressed first. If this Haka was in a bad mood, it may be some sort of torture for Hikaru. He kept his eyes humbly on the ground.

The smile that had almost instantaneously materialised on Hikaru's face was a sight to behold indeed and that made Aya smile inwardly to himself as he made a mental note of the Gehaka's name at the same time.
Amaya Hikaru. Was it a mere coincidence that his family name was similar to that of the fruit stand further down the street, or could he by chance be related to the owner of that stall afterall? The red-haired Haka wondered briefly as violet eyes found themselves darting this way and that after a flitting butterfly that had managed to ensnare his attention for the moment.
"You may go if you wish to... or stay..."
Came the Haka's soft response as he finally refocused his attention on Hikaru's form yet again. He was well aware that he could make the winged male stay if he wanted to. Yet, that wasn't what Aya had in mind in the first place.
Things went by his own rules unless he was at a more public place where he would be liable to the scrutiny of many a nosey Haka and thus, expected to act as was expected for someone of his status. That was obviously not the case here though. He was giving the Gehaka a choice.

Hikaru looked at the ground and once again smiled as he heard the Haka's invitation for Hikaru to stay. Hikaru wasn't quite sure what to say, was he to show happiness, or stay calm? Hikaru nodded to the Haka.
"If it please you sire, I will stay, and also, majesty, if you request, I will keep you company.." Hikaru, for once, wasn't noticing the dirt on his hands or the smell of the coin, but only the Haka. It pleased the gehaka that Aya was so taken with such a little thing as a butterfly. He couldn't help but look at it as well.
"May I know your name, majesty?" Hikaru asked, wondering if there was some other way to address the lovely male. He hoped it wasn't too forward.

In an awful hurry, Seichou held under one lean arm a roll of clean white paper and a small sack of fine black charcoal -- and in the bag he held in the other hand, a few coins jingled. As always, however, he wore a look of shy harried nerves on his charcoal-smudged face, biting his lips. What could he buy, as a gift, for his new friend? He supposed he could just give Enju back his change, but... he thought it would be a good idea to get him a gift, since he'd gotten plenty good supplies for their art lessons, and some again for the other's practice for cheaper than he'd thought he would. He twittered around the shop entrance for a long moment, uncertain as ever.

"Fujimiya Aya... that's my name."
Aya responded in kind without so much as batting an eyelid as violet orbs alternated between watching the butterfly that had now settled itself on a pink carnation not too far from Hikaru's left and the long silvery hair that was uniquely Hikaru's.
There weren't many Gehakas who possessed such a hair colour as far as Aya knew. It made him wonder if it was a physical trait that ran in Hikaru's family. Maybe it was a result of something that the Gehaka had done to his hair? Nevertheless, the red-haired Haka decided to remain tight-lipped with regards to his own thoughts. Nobody needed to hear about them.
There was a rustling sound of kimono against the ground as Aya gingerly squatted down such that he was now at eye level with Hikaru, an impassive expression on his face as he next addressed the Gehaka before him.
"Tell me the truth Hikaru, what is it that you want to do..?"

Hikaru watched the Aya as he watched the butterfly. Was he really looking at the butterfly, or was he looking at Hikaru? Hikaru began to run his hands over his white-silver hair and blush slightly. Did he have something on his face? Hikaru found a tangle in his hair, and was snatched back to the reality of his OCD state.
"Sire, I do not wish to leave you, but I would like to get back home for a bit... my mother will want this coin. She gets angry if I keep money from her..." Hikaru looked down at the ground and felt ashamed that he wanted to leaeve. He wanted to go home and brush his hair, wash his hands, take a bath, and clean out his fingernails. He realized that he had gotten dirty in just the short time he had been outside.
"But if you will permit, I will be back just as soon as I can..." He looked hopefully up at the Haka as his green eyes met the Haka's indigo ones. He hoped that Aya wouldn't be displeased.

Tilting his head to the side a little, Aya smiled softly at Hikaru's request before allowing his head to dip ever so slightly so as to indicate his accession. If that was what the winged male truly desired, who was he to deny him of that request even though he possessed that particular power in the first place?
Having already given his response to Hikaru's request, the Fujimiya clan Haka straightened himself next, his figure turning gracefully at the same time so that violet eyes could feast their sights upon the flowers that surrounded him yet again. It was almost as though it was his way of telling the Gehaka that he was free to go and do whatever he wanted.

Hikaru was almost too happy to leave the flower shop. He wasn't happy to leave Aya, of course, but he was happy to be able to get home and clean up. He had always been so peculiar about that. Hikaru was almost hurt by the Haka turning his back, but he knew that Haka were a particular crowd, so he tried not to take notice.
Hikaru raced home bounded up to his mother. "Master, master! Look! I found a gold coin! And I, I met a Haka today."
Akemi looked down at his son and glared. "You were gone all day, what were you doing?" He hit Hikaru over the head with a fan, making Hikaru's head spin. Akemi snatched the coin and stashed it in his kimono. "Get out of my sight!"
Hikaru ran up the stairs and to his quarters. He washed off his hands, most of his body, and then his hair, brushing it exactly 69 times before leaving the house again. Hikaru was unsure of going back to the flower shop, but stood outside by the door to see if the Haka would exit. He hoped Aya had not yet left the Flower shop, and it was getting chilly outside. Hikaru shivered and his nipples hardened. Perhaps it would have been a better idea to have dried his hair before hurrying out... Hikaru continued to stand and shiver, waiting for Aya.

It had taken Aya quite a bit of time going through the assortment of flowers at the Towa No Hana before he finally made his selection and subsequently paid for them. At the back of his mind, the Haka couldn't help but wonder offhandedly what had happened to the silver-maned Gehaka who had taken his leave earlier on. Was he going to come back? Or perhaps he had gotten caught up with something at home?
Rubbing the back of his ear in a habitual act of sorts, Aya inhaled deeply before shrugging slightly to himself. It probably didn't matter though. It wasn't as if Hikaru had promised him that he would return anyway.
Nothing could have prepared Aya for the sight of the shivering Gehaka that greeted him the moment he stepped out of the flower shop with his purchases. The sun was still up but the air had a chilly feel to it as was always the case during late winter in these parts.
The young Haka blinked in surprise, a little unsure as to what he should make of the situation at the moment. Had Hikaru been waiting outside for him all along?
Turning briefly so that he could hand the paper bag containing his precious flowers to his Gehaka escort, Aya next steadily made his way towards Hikaru's direction, the look in his eyes a little softer than the one that he had directed the Gehaka's way earlier on in the shop itself when he noticed the more than apparant quivering of the winged male's form.
"You came back. Why..?"

Hikaru looked up at the Haka, almost a little ashamed, but felt a little more warmth emanating from the red head's eyes. "I..." He shivered, his bottom lip quivering.
"I... just thought I'd wait for you... I told you.... I'd be right back... But I didn't know if you were still in... so I waited. I didn't know if you wanted to see me again or if you cared to..." Hikaru continued to shiver, his skin growing small goosebumps.
"My hair was still wet when I came out to wait... So I'm chilly..." He said, keeping his head down. Was the Haka upset at him? Would he been enraged by Hikaru waiting for him. "I'm sorry majesty... if you wish me to return home and stop bothering you... I... I.... AAAACHUUU!"
Hikaru sneezed into his hand. The cold weather must be giving him a cold. "Excuse me majesty.." Hikaru said, hoping he had not sneezed on the Haka.
