The theater district wasn't necessarily a place where Cybele spent a lot of time hunting. Maybe it should have been. It was convenient enough. She'd been in a few shows here, back when she was in high school, and although the university put on enough shows in their own auditorium to keep her busy now that she was a student there, she still came here often enough to watch others perform, especially since her one of her professors had connections and tended to be able to get theater majors discounted tickets, but afterwards, she always just hurried home. Today she had gone alone, so she had powered up for the trip home, since she did not trust the city at night. She wasn't hunting or even patrolling, though. She was thinking about the blocking choices in the performance of Macbeth she'd just seen, not the faint auras at the edges of her senses, or even the one directly in front of her until she came face to face with the knight who it was radiating off of. This time, she was almost certain it was a knight despite the fact that she was in a sparkling gown rather than a suit of armor, and it was sort of nice, knowing that she was getting a little better at telling the factions of Order apart. She smiled politely. "Oh, hello."

Hvergelmir wondered, lately, if the Theater District was getting safer. Though she still occasionally patrolled for youma, she'd found fewer, lately. Maybe they were less active here, for some reason -- or maybe, she was beginning to think, the area was getting more consistently watched over by others in their powered set. Tonight, for example, she sensed no youma -- but she did detect a senshi in the vicinity, a super scout. Aegir had been at basic rank when they'd met last time -- but she still turned, expecting him, when the senshi approached, ready to offer her congratulations on tapping into more of his power. It turned out to be someone else. A pretty senshi, pale, like a lovely ghost. "Hello," she greeted cheerily, waving. "Quiet night -- do you want to walk together?"

"Of course," replied Cybele automatically, despite the fact that she wasn't really in the mood, and a full knight didn't need her protection or help or whatever the correct term was in any case. It was rare for her to meet others from Order by chance, and she was starting to realize that connections were as important when she was a senshi as they were in the regular world, and she hadn't don the best on that front in the past. "I'm Cybele, Senshi of the Hunt," she said, complete with the little curtsy, then matched the pace of the knight. "I love your outfit," she continued, which was her go to compliment, but, like always, it was true. Their outfits seemed to place form over function. The glimmering princess dress still stood out, though. She admired it for a second or so before noticing the glimmering mark on her arm. "Are you transcendent?" She didn't quite feel like it. The sparkles on her dress didn't translate into brightness in her aura, but Cybele wasn't exactly an expert on that subject.

Hvergelmir fell into step with the senshi easily. It was always nice to have company of an evening, as opposed to patrolling the streets alone for youma, and she knew so few senshi. It was important, she felt sure, to expand her network of contacts. "It's lovely to meet you, Cybele," she agreed, settling the name in her memory. "I'm Hvergelmir Knight of the Cosmos." She offered her thanks for the compliment on her gown; that was becoming a familiar refrain. People liked the dress. Hvergelmir just never felt comfortable taking credit for that. She hadn't done a thing to choose it, after all. At the mention of her seal, however, Hvergelmir lifted a self-conscious hand to scratch idly at it, shaking her head in a calm no. "Oh -- no, I'm not transcendent. I know a few people who are, but . . . this is something else. The mark of the Wonder I serve. It's the seal for an oath I swore about a year ago."

"Hvergelmir," she repeated slowly, making sure she had a grasp on the exotically arranged syllables. It was pretty, but Cybele decided not to mention that. Petty compliments made decent conversation starters sometimes, but this didn't seem to be one of those situations. "Knight of... Cosmos, you said? I'm sorry, this is going to make me sound really ignorant, but... is that a planet?" The truth was, she'd only met maybe three knights and only knew the basics about them. They were allies. They had weapons and planets, not power spheres. The rest was a mystery. It might be a good idea to learn more. That vague, forced curiosity turned genuine at the next point, however. "A magic oath?" It had been years since her giddy excitement about talking cats and the fact that she was a magical girl had faded, but she still found magic very fascinating, especially types that were new to her. She caught herself staring at the seal and had to force her eyes forward. "I've never heard of that, either. What does it do?"

Hvergelmir gave a soft, nonjudgmental chuckle. It wasn't the first time this misunderstanding had come up -- so many of the other knights were dedicated to particular planets and stars, the nomenclature probably just came to people naturally. "Oh, not of Cosmos, of the Cosmos," she answered. "As in, like, the whole firmament -- the big wide sky, with stars and black holes and anti-matter and everything in between. My Wonder's a big floating island in the middle of nowhere." She shrugged, falling into step with Cybele. "As to what the seal does -- well, I guess what it does is kill me if I ever break my oath." Hvergelmir shook her head. "I swore on my life not to raise arms against a Negaverse agent while they fought to protect the Earth, except to defend myself. This seal holds me to that."
