• Personality: To strangers and acquaintances, Rae seems very polite, quiet, and shy. She is dutiful and considerate, and a good listener. She doesn't volunteer much in conversation until she has had plenty of time to warm up to her new acquaintance. Strangers will find her highly reliable and honest. Rae is extremely introverted, preferring to be alone or in the company of one or two close friends. She feels uncomfortable when she is forced to interact with those she does not know, and spending too much time among acquaintances leaves her physically drained of energy; she has to recharge by spending some time alone.
Rae's close friends will see a different side of her; a more energetic and forthcoming side. This Rae is unafraid of showing her stubborn streak. She can be lazy and defiant, unwilling to be walked over, but quite willing to crack a bad joke or two. She is still very trustworthy and concerned about others' wellbeing, but she also has a tendency to put herself first. She laughs easily and chatters loudly, and tends to be rather optimistic.
Alone, Rae is calm and introspective. She is a sensitive girl, and has a tendency to worry unnecessarily. She is a planner and highly goal-oriented, but she is also flexible and unafraid to take shortcuts when it comes to her work. She is both dutiful and lazy; she will always complete her goals on time, but how much effort she puts into a given task is inversely proportional to its difficulty. She tends to put pleasure before work, and looks out after herself before anyone else.
• Bio: Rae was born in Fortree City, Hoenn, which is how her great love of nature began. Her parents were both pokémon researchers, so it was only natural that she would aspire to a similar field of work. From a young age, she traveled the routes surrounding Fortree with her parents' pokémon. The thrill of exploring new territory and spotting wild pokémon broadened her horizons and instilled a desire to see other regions. However, her parents insisted that she complete her education first, and so Rae remained, saving up her money all the while.
When she turned 20, she decided to finally break free of her small-town life. Zatao was the ideal region for her; there was a high demand for watchers and travelers to help map out the region and gather information on the native pokémon. She needed no further convincing than that; she headed for Zatao, and the promise of unexplored, undeveloped lands. Her parents believed her ready and supported her decision; they bought her her own pokémon-- a bulbasaur, whom she named Roselle.
Rae spent most of her money on a ticket out of Hoenn, and sailed all the way to Zatao. When she arrived in Katarina, she immediately registered as a traveler and watcher, and stayed at the Pokémon Center while she settled into her new life. Her savings are running dangerously low, so she is desperate as well as excited to begin working.

• Pokédex Entry: Bulbasaur can be seen napping in bright sunlight. There is a seed on its back. By soaking up the sun's rays, the seed grows progressively larger.

• Personality: At first glance, Roselle appears to be an angelic example of an ideal bulbasaur. She is kind and polite to strangers, and is receptive to meeting new people (even if she doesn't appreciate being touched by mere acquaintances). She is not bossy nor overly assertive; however, she is quietly stubborn. If you try to make her do something that she does not want to do, she will dig in her heels and absolutely refuse to obey. When disagreements occur, compromise works best with this pokémon, while ultimatums are ultimately doomed to fail.
On the other hand, Roselle is intensely loyal and protective to those she loves. She is very affectionate of those who have won her trust. She would do anything for her friends who would naturally reciprocate in her times of need.
• History: Roselle was the result of a breeder in Fortree City pairing their Ivysaur and Lombre. As soon as she was old enough, the breeder sold her to Rae. Rae was very kind to her, so they quickly formed a strong bond of friendship, a bond that was only fortified by their journey together across the sea and to Zatao.
Roselle is rarely inside her pokeball. She spends most of her days either at Rae's side or sunning herself outdoors. She is fast enough to keep up with Rae on foot, but Rae carries the bulbasaur in her arms on longer journeys. At night, she sleeps at the foot of Rae's bed in the Pokémon Center.

• Pokémon Researchers:
+ Second stage - A long-time watcher has enough expertise to be called a Pokémon researcher. These professionals have a large base of knowledge about many different Pokémon and are acknowledged as experts in their field.
+ Unlocked by - RP and interact with 50 different pokemon species and at least 1 legendary (event RPs do not count). An interaction counts as being in a RP, or a battle with Pokémon being observed for at least 5 posts long (by you). Battles and RPs need to have at least 2 sentences minimum per post. If there are multiple Pokémon, each different species needs to be observed for 5 posts long, for example, in a RP with 2 Pokémon being observed, you will need to make 5 posts about each Pokémon you are watching. Your own Pokémon do not automatically count for the requirement, but you may write a solo RP (minimum 500 words) with the Pokémon for it to count.
