Class was just getting out which meant for a brief while the foals all lingered to gossip and giggle until their parents could pick them up. The purple flutter with the transparent hoof was quickly surrounded by a small group of colts and fillies that cooed their admiration at him. Tossing his hair back over his shoulder he smiled coldly.

This was what life should be like, surrounded by people who thought you were the coolest thing since sliced bread. Phony who just wanted to praise you and give you the snacks from their lunches in hopes that some of it would rub off on them. They were pathetic, but Happy enjoyed the gifts and the compliments. He of course made sure to dish them out as well. Gotta keep everyone happy, Happy!

As the group chattered around him the purple colt held in a sigh, eyes casting about the room for something more interesting when he spotted the new filly sitting alone. His eyes glittered as he recalled her first day in class. She'd brought in cupcakes her mom had made as a sort of attempt at a friendship offering... And they were delicious.

"I'll be right back guys," Happy held up his hoof, flying away from the crowd to settle in front of the girl's desk. "Now how could such a pretty filly look so sad," he smiled, propping his face up on his elbows now resting on the edge of her table.

The girl mumbled, wiping at her teary eyes and Happy smiled. "Just a second." He turned, shrugging off his backpack and reaching in to pull out a handkerchief. They may have been old fashioned, but they were popular in a lot of old romantic stories and he was quite sure they'd work on any damsel in distress.

"Here, take this," he nudged it to her, settling back in. "You know Dandilion, a clever girl like you shouldn't be all alone. Any phony would be lucky to be friends with someone so cute and intelligent. Here, let me introduce you." The flutter nodded to the foals he'd been amongst before, rising to his hooves as he reached out to help her out of her chair with a grin.

The filly blushed, accepting his offer as something began to appear on the colt's flank. But, Happy didn't notice, too busy with the work required to get him another cupcake or two.
