[ORP] Saving Hugbell: Immortals (Ding Dong the Youma's Dead)

Hugbell was laying terrified pinned, bleeding and staring into the eyes of a youma that she wasn't sure at this point she could beat alone. How had she ever done so in the past was beyond her in fact anything but staying still as possible was beyond her at the moment when the monster wasn't about to let her up.

Her white and yellow fuku was stained on her left side and she was sure he'd managed to get through the material that was her boot too but she was unable to see it.

What was about to happen next though, was so unexpected.

The Youma

The youma is a greater youma. It's recently returned to Hugbell's comet as it's haunted her in the past. The creature's larger than a bear, it's face slightly resembled that of a bears with long sharp snarling teeth the longest teeth resemble that of a saber tooth tiger. The youma also has long legs which look much like a dinosaur; a raptor in fact sharp skin piercing claws included; and it's tail long has a sharp scythe at the end. So watch out despite his fluffy looks he's got quite a pointed personality.

Hugbell's homeworld.

School House Court yard

The school house looks sort of like an old Gothic catholic school mixed with Disneyland castle. It's perhaps one of the most formal looking building set in Hugbell land, as there's little buildings for a green house, mess hall and stoarages. The court yard sprawls out with large grassy area and a road around it that leads from the school house out to the other buildings. The Massive Victorian styled library building can be seen over rows of little houses that were once colorful and now sit dull and beyond the massive library and circling back to behind the school house there's a maze of woods.

The buildings in front of the library look much like carnival style buildings built out of old wood and colorful bricks, there's playgrounds and what looks like simplistic versions of modern earth rides. Scattered around are stuffed animals that have been ripped with stuffing falling out and dry rotted over time. They're scattered around the buildings. There maybe some useful things around them that could be used in battle.

Mechanics:

The Youma's HP is very high! So it'll take a little bit to knock him down.

Attack him with dice!

Physical Attacks are rolled with a 1d6
Magical Attacks are rolled using a 1d8 ***

There's bonuses depending on your stage!

For first stage characters there's no bonus unless a random event happens.
For second stage characters you get a +1 bonus to either type of attack.
For third stage characters you get a +2 bonus to either type of attack.
For fourth stage characters you get a +3 bonus to either type of attack.**

*** If Magical attacks are of the defensive/buffering sorts you don't have to roll a dice but if you want to and do, if you or you're target are attacked in that round the attacks are lessened on you or your target.

There will be random events at times to indicate something happening! It could be good or it could be bad, just depends on what happens. Also the youma could attack at any given time so watch out! You'll be quoted if the youma attacks your character. (There will be dice rolls in the sign up thread to determine if your character is targeted - when sign ups are closed all the characters playing will be assigned numbers and those numbers will be determined by dice and the attacks will happen here.) The amount of damage done - if any to your character will be up to you the player! There'll be chances to dodge and/or defend yourself as well. 3nodding

Hugbellion Beast Stuffing!?: Where did that come from!? The Beast is hacking up stuffing like it ate too many stuffed animals and got hairballs! Don't get too close they'll give you a zap, they're also pretty slimy gross when you touch them!

Hvergelmir didn't really understand what had happened. One minute, she'd been shelling lychees over her kitchen-slash-bathroom sink, the sweet, fruity smell coating her fingers -- the next, she was powered up, being pulled away to somewhere far off, again. Olympus, like the meetings before? she wondered. Or somewhere else, like the time we were all drawn to Avalon?

There wasn't much time to make sense of her surroundings when she arrived, though. She seemed to be . . . in a strange, abandoned -- amusement park sort of place?

Her stomach fell -- hopeless memories of a different dark funhouse arising around her. The encroaching, unnerving presence of broken puppets, dangling everywhere -- the eerie scratch of a singing voice -- pale eyes, glowing by the point of a lit cigarette -- pain -- people around her, screaming just outside the door --

Hvergelmir didn't think she could do this, whatever it was. She looked around, feeling sort of woozy and faint, kind of chilly. It was like getting her blood drawn -- that same haze of sympathetic shock.

There was a huge monster. It looked like a bear, sort of, in the face -- but leaner in the body, woflish almost, with some kind of long, barbed tail. And it had teeth, long and sharp, that had no business being in its mouth.

And there was a young girl trapped under its feet. A senshi in pale yellow.

Hvergelmir held her staff out before her in a defensive ward, clutched white-knuckled between both hands. "Let her go!" she tried to shout -- but her voice came out cracked and weak, barely audible.

I can't do this alone, she thought, in case the Code had brought her here and was still listening. Please send help.

If the Code heard, it picked the absolute most useless knight to send. One moment, Anabel was studying, a hand keeping her head from dropping down onto her textbook. The next, Mistral was standing in some sort of dilapidated hellhole. It reminded her of Silent Hill, all torn to bits and rusted. She blinked once, twice, and then spotted the same thing Hvergelmir had--the giant youma, the senshi beneath it.

She huffed out a laugh, a sardonic and sarcastic little thing, and then reached down to pick up a serviceable chunk of metal. "Hver," she said, "I'll try to draw its attention, I have magic that can confuse it once I do. Can you try to get the girl?"

Without waiting for an answer, Mistral threw the metal chunk at the monster. "Hey, ugly," she shouted. "Over here!" If God was kind, her halfassed twenty-second plan would at least get the beast away from the child.

[Sami-Fire]

Sadachbia had been... very bad at doing her job as a senshi recently, frankly. She had mostly been lazing around and focusing on schoolwork (sort of... mostly... kind of), and she hadn't gone patrolling in a while. So when the world suddenly blurred around her in her bedroom, her heart rocketed into her stomach. When the world re-formed around her into a completely foreign location and she found herself in her senshi fuku, she gasped out loud. Had she been sent here as some sort of punishment for not powering up enough?

Megrez, conversely, was already out on patrol when the world blurred around her, signifying some sort of space leap. When the world re-formed and she was also in the bizarre place, she quickly looked around. She had been warped in right next to Sadachbia. "Sadachbia? You're here too?"

Sadachbia, however, had a bigger concern on her mind. She had already spotted the senshi pinned under the giant monster's claw and was charging toward her. "Questions later! That girl is in trouble!" She held out her hands and shouted, "Sadachbian Building Blocks!" summoning the two bricks characteristic of the attack. She threw them at the beast, but only one brick connected. Well, it was a start.

Megrez gasped a quick "oh s**t!" when she because cognizant of the massive beast with the senshi under its claw. Hver and a Squire she had not seen before were also there. She ran after Sadachbia, calling out "Wait, WAIT! Sadachbia, hold on, that thing could really hurt you!"

Sadachbia hits for 4 damage!

Ciel had decided to take the night off from paroling. She needed to catch up on her home work plus she wanted to get a good nights sleep. So after a bath and getting into her Pajamas she sat down at her desk and began to work on her school work. Or at least that was what she wanted to do. Apparently the universe had other plans for her.

It was fair to say she was terrified when the world began blur around her and she felt herself being pulled far away. The place she ended up did nothing to assuage her fears. She had ended up in some super creepy abandoned amusement park. She hated places like this, it creeped her out how much scarier a place of fun and games became once it was empty especially if it had been empty for a long time as this one appeared to be. She prayed to every deity she knew that their weren't killer clowns here, else she would probably scream and cry like a little girl.

She noticed that at some point in her trip she had transformed into Hyperborea. It was then she noticed the crowd that seemed to be fighting a big Youma bear. Once she saw the girl trapped under the Youma her fear disappeared. The Senshi looked like she was about her age. Hyperborea wanted to help her.

The Youma was too big to throw or choke out like she preferred to do with other Youma so Hyperborea decided she would just have to use strikes, she was glad she had been practicing strikes with Penthe. She ran over to the Youma bear and tried punching as hard as she could. She wasn't sure it actually did any damage though. A quick survey around the group revealed alot of faces she didn't know, however there was one familiar person. Hvergelmir was here as well, but Hyperborea didn't have time pleasantry as she focused on the Youma.

[Whimsical Blue]

The number of times Ash had been off-planet could be numbered with a single digit. That digit was One.

So, when things suddenly went wibbly and changed, the guardian cat had no idea what was going on. Innocently stalking a mouse she had heard under a bush in the park, she had felt a pull and was suddenly... somewhere else, and power signatures blossomed all around her.

"Woah, woah, WOAH!" The silver cat shouted as she back pedaled, her whole body arching in instinctive need to scare off the threat. "What's going on? Where are we?"

No where familiar, that was for sure... And something told her it wasn't Earth. As people began to rush about, Ash eased slowly out of her arching, though her tail was still a bottle brush of puffed fur and her ears pressed back against her head. There was some big thing going on... Focus on that inner sense divined the reason far too fast and Ash felt herself let out a low, burbling growl as her forehead began to glow.

YOUMA... And such a youma as she had never felt or seen before. Shouting, Ash reacted without thinking and darted between legs to send a modified kitty beam blasting right at the monster. She could worry about where she was and how she got there later.

Attacking Youma for 1

Ida was used to the sensation of teleportation. What she wasn't used to was it happening without her knowledge or consent, in the middle of studying at home.

Feeling the weird tug, Orah had stumbled to her feet just in time for everything around her to change and dump her in the middle of what looked like... an abandoned carnival? Suddenly powered up, Ida stared around in surprise and trepidation. Her internal senses felt powered signatures all around her... and one very big youma one. It raised the small hairs on the back of her neck and soured her stomach. Whatever it was, it was powerful.

Ida spun, wide-eyed, to see the monster pinning someone to the ground and a host of people rushing to attack it. Many of them were unfamiliar... but there were a handful she knew. Megrez, Hyperborea...

"Hver!" Ida shouted as she started forward, breaking into a run. Throwing her hand up, she called to her magic.

"Heavenly Orchid Arrows!" Petals trailed after her hand, forming into a bow. It wasn't like the one she used in practice... but it was far more familiar to her hand. Drawing back the string, an arrow of light bloomed between her hands, and when she released it, it arched through the air towards the beast.

In her rush, her aim was off and it slammed into the ground beside the monster, exploding impressively, but ineffectually.

[Ruriska]

It was extremely fortuitous that she’d whisked into space just after arriving home from dinner with her parents. There had been an argument, some yelling and just as she slammed her bedroom door behind her, she was suddenly somewhere else. Aludra whined and closed her eyes, wishing she could go back. This is your job, remember. You’re a fighter for light, remember what you told, Dionysus. You can do it.

Then she took a deep breath and surveyed the scene, gaze moving from one figure to another until it landed on the trapped Chibi. She knew her, she’d met her briefly during that one battle and there was no way she could just stand aside now. Even if she was terrified. Even if every fibre of her being screamed at her to run. No, Hvergelmir was here too, they could do this.

While the others attacked, she looked around, searching for something to fight with. Aludra eventually discovered a long piece of wood and it would have to do. Then she circled around, running low and holding back. When she was behind the youma, she darted in, aiming her weapon at the creature’s legs.

Physical Attack: 4 + 1 = 5

This is not a new round.

Hugbell felt the signatures pop up around her and the youma. The youma did too as it's weight shifted causing the young senshi to wince. Even though she was no longer a chibi, she was still younger than some of the ones that were pulled to her rescue.

There were shouts at first calling to distract the youma, it snarled at the ones that shouted and a chunk of metal. Hugbell winced as it bounced after it hit the youma. She struggled trying to free herself only causing claws to tighten on her shoulders. "C-careful." She managed to squeak out.

More attacks came as more appeared. There was a magical attack and Hugbell's eyes widened as she saw it flying but luckily it smacked the youma in the side of the head and bounced off. The Orchid Arrows though exploded right near Hugbell's head and she was trying to wiggle free as the youma seemed to start debating on going after larger more interesting targets.

The large youma yelped when he was hit in the back legs and used one to swat that the chibi senshi with the wood before turning around. Annoying little brat. All of them were being annoying it just wanted the yellow senshi snarling. It's tail flickered trying swat at those behind it one set of claws finally lifting off the senshi that was under them.

The second, or was it third, fourth- Well. It was yet another case where the duo of cold senshi were summoned out of the blue and arrived, in uniform, at a location neither of them quite expected.

It was colorful, if muted by decay and time. It was a ruin, and Castor took one deep breath- and allowed himself to take on his natural regalia while his brother simply looked more and more annoyed as each second passed.
"Must you always-" Pollux began, pushing a wing out of his face while Castor looked towards the sounds of fighting.
"Space is where I don't have to hide like I am something that shouldn't be seen. So yes, I must. Always." Just to rub the fact he could and would, Castor gave a large jump and proceeded to glide towards the sounds of battle, Pollux quickly in pursuit.

What neither expected to find was one chibi senshi under a fairly sizable powerhouse youma, (slightly larger than a chibi now- a thing Pollux doubted Castor would notice),and a bunch of others fighting it.
"Well s**t." Landing on both feet with minimal stumbling, (commented on with a 'nice landing' sarcasm by the wingless) Castor didn't waste much time charging forward.

Granted, he did take the precaution to armor up, the layer of ice thickening and offering some protection.

Mute, Pollux went for the beast's legs while, of course-
"Didn't they teach you about consent dickweed?" Castor went right for the face, his fist covered in spikes of ice.

Castor always went for the face.

(Castor +3= 4 DMG)
