"Cre kea van iddli fa lu va..." A small book hovered in the air a strange glow surrounded the young hybrid girl as she read the passage, trying to draw out her magic. She was practicing, and had to get better at her defensive spells since the attack in the market had... well, been a painful one to say the least. Her mind wandered towards the indecent, causing Teiluj to lose control over the water and several of it was sent hurtling into the trees like arrowheads. The book clattered to the ground with her broken concentration. Shaking her head and heaving a sigh Teiluj bent over to gather the book up again, her hand briefly running across the runes on the cover before her fingers gripped the books spine. Eyes darted up into the forest, the vibrations of animals everywhere was not something new to her, but the way this something moved felt... dangerous.

Aselia was tired of sitting around the fire with Neibet and some of the other women that were traveling with her. It wasn't the sisters themselves that were making her weary, it wasn't even the conversation. She just needed some time to stretch her legs, away from them. They had traveled through Andile and were slowly making their way east towards the boarders of tale. The sounds of someone speaking in the distance instantly had the Mystic on edge. Was someone following them? Approaching as quietly as she could her ears lifted and fell at the sound of what seemed like chanting. Her lids narrowed over her dark eyes. Only earthlings chanted, growling to herself that an earthling had dared to come this close to her traveling party Aselia was caught off guard as a shard of magic caught her in the ear. Wincing as she reached up to brush her hand over the wound Aselia hissed vocally as she felt the wet spot. Blood. Reaching back towards her arrow the novice mystic quickly drew one out aiming towards the direction the magic had come from. How dare she be attacked while in Jauhar. Had that girl V'demhe gathered some earthling mages in order to protect her precious hybrid friends?

Teiluj was certain she had heard hissing among the trees. Her antenna dropped as a shiver ran up her spine. Had she accidentally hit someone with her stray magic? A wash of panic and Teiluj was pushing to her feet as an arrow scratched across the back of her hand. Nearly dropping her book, Teiluj tried to discern what was in the forest. Whatever it was, was nothing like what she had met before. No animal that she knew was able to utilize a bow, and no Alkidike could use two elements to attack at the same time. Was it possible there were two earthlings out in the trees beyond her sight? One using the physical weapon another using magic to boost it? Her heart sunk at the idea that there were now earthlings just as ready to take her life as the Alkidikes had been. Bending over Teiluj scooped up one of the fist sized rocks and lopped it into the trees. "Leave me alone!"

Aselia barely even registered the rock that grazed along the outside of her ankle. The yell sounded feminine, walking out towards the the voice Aselia stopped as her dark orbs fell upon an 'other'. Her gaze narrowed upon the girl, she had some Alkidike traits, and even one was too many in Aselias opinion. Reaching back the mystic's fingers found another arrow, fitting it easily into the bowstring. Her colors were all wrong, her physic was all wrong, everything about her was very wrong. A strong urge to eliminate the girl flooded her veins. She was a product of the earthlings coming to taint Aisha. "No, I'm here to put you down like the plague you are." The arrow soared from her fingers. Her target aimed right for Teiluj's heart, fire swirled around the arrows head.

Water 3/5 Teiluj's gaze was locked onto Aselia's face. The color drained from her cheeks as she took in the Alkidikes appearance. She had heard rumor that such a girl existed, that an Alkidike matching this womans appearance was one of the mystics. The youngest one, Aselia. That would explain the magic fused into the weapons. Another shiver raced along Teiluj's shoulders as her magic sparked to life. She was focused now, and the fact an arrow was pointed at her did little to scare her further. Her own mother used the bow for a weapon and Teiluj had sparred with her since she was a child. Having an arrow pointed at her had been drilled into her, something she could not be afraid of. She had been warned something like this would happen. As fire mixed with the arrow's tip and was shot towards her Teiluj could feel the powerful surge of magic across her shoulders again. The book by her side gave a faint glow as water doused the arrow and flames, stopping the arrow and moving on towards the mystic.

Aselia misses
Aselia stumbled backwards as the power of water rushed forward. Slamming into her. She hadn't expected a hybrid to posses such power let alone the ability to use the magic so effectively. Sputtering for breath as the water dripped from her face and hair. This hybrid needed to be destroyed and quickly. Reaching back Aselia fumbled in search of her arrow taking her eyes off Teiluj for a brief moment as she looked back to make sure there were still some in her quiver.

Teiluj wasn't going to waste the small amount of time she had. She would need to strike now. Distract the Mystic so she could get away, she didn't want to be the one to permanently disable the woman or worse, kill her. That would create an even greater problem for her, all the alkidikes would blame her, there would then be a permanent bounty placed on her head. Magic tickled in her fingers as another wave of water rushed towards the mystic. Looking from side to side calculating a path of escape. Maybe if she managed to get up into the trees she would be ok. Swallowing nervously Teiluj moved her feet rushing as quickly as she could towards the trees.
