He had heard that there was a new artifact to collect. Wilson wasn’t sure if this piece of information was actually true and he could not quite understand why he was going on a journey just to collect this new object, but here he was. At least this time the scenery was different, and therefore the path to the top of the mountain would be somewhat different too. Granted, most of the journey would be the same, but at least it would not be a carbon copy of his previous attempts to the mountain summit. Wilson hummed, packing quite a bit of food now that he was outside of the kingdom and thus set out on a quest.

Wilson tried to enjoy the view for as long as he could. As much as he liked looking at the trees and the glistening lake, he also knew that eventually it would give way to a barren path full of rocks and fallen trees. At that point, he would know that he was on the right path toward his destination. A sigh at the thought, but he would have to bear with it. He decided to take a break in the forest. Often times Wilson had lost his horse here in the forest and he was mentally prepared for it, but still in the depths of his heart he wanted to believe that this horse would not abandon him. Granted, he had only known this horse for less than a day, but he still held onto the tiny bit of hope that he could keep this horse for the duration of this trip.
Unfortunately, as he turned around he realized that his mount had disappeared into the darkness of the forest. Well, that’s that. He sighed and went over to pack his things.
