This evening had been, in most regards, a wash. Leucite grumbled, dusting his pants off as he looked around the alley. He'd tracked the dealer around to this area, but he must have buggered off. Then he heard the sound of footsteps and he moved to the end of the alley, finding the man he'd been tailing for the last hour. He must have just finished a deal, because he was counting his money and about to stuff it in his jacket. With a low growl, Leucite grabbed the man by the collar and roughly slammed him into the wall. "You have been judged for your sins, and found wanting." He muttered, before slamming his hand into the man's chest, fingers clenching around his starseed and slowly pulling it out. "May God have mercy on your soul."

The evening for Imara had been rather relaxing. She had managed to get to the shooting ranging and register for the up coming contest as well as get a few practice rounds in. The fact they had come with a bet she had won was just a perk. With her pockets happily heavier than they were before, Imara walked home.
That walk stopped when she heard a scream. One hell of a blood curling scream that sent he woman into auto pilot. The sound was like that of an animal with its heart being cut out. Strange since she was in the middle of a city!
"This is happening way too often". Imara groaned as she flipped her bow and loaded it, following the scream down a hallway. However she stopped cold when she saw what was in view. "s**t..."

The starseed glittered in the nighttime air as Leucite pulled it free of the man's chest, letting the body slump to the floor, he silently pocketed the remains of what had been a person into his jacket and then knelt down to start rifling through the dealer's wallet. "s**t..."He froze, on one knee as he turned his head slowly, his eyes locking onto the woman at the other end of the alleyway. He was getting sloppy, he should have kept better situational awareness - covered the man's mouth... ANYTHING. Wait... She didn't have a power signature. She was... human. Innocent though, perhaps he could drain her energy and she'd forget all about it but at the same time... "I am just protecting the area, miss..." He said finally, rising to his full 6'2" height and looking at the woman. "I'm a Agent of the Negaverse, Captain Leucite is my name. This man was a criminal and I have dealt with him in a way normal law enforcement cannot. "Perhaps you can be of some assistance to me, however..." He turned this time, finally grabbing the man's wallet and pulling out his cash, it was a substantial amount. "I can't spend this all myself..." He closed the distance slowly, counting out half the wad and holding it out to her. "Perhaps, you could assist me?"

Her eyes were locked on his form, the bow pulled tight and ready to fire. Imara had seen clearly what looked to be a stone pulled from the man's chest before he fell to the ground motionless. But that wasn't possible. That stone had to be in his pocket...or shirt.
And he was just knocked out....or dead....
Either way, the red eyes were not flickering as she locked onto her male kneeling on the ground. She did not flinch when he rose to his full height but her eyes did follow his face.
"And in what manner have you the right to decide...." Her eyes flipped back to the man against the wall and a dawning sensation washed over her face. She knew this man. Well, not personally, but knew what he was. He was the kind that had not pulled a trigger on anyone but given others a very loaded gun.
In that moment, Imara's hold on her bow softened. "They could never peg anything on him." She shook her head. "s**t, what did you say your name was?" Finally she looked back at the taller man's face. "Captain Leu of Nega what?"

"Leucite, of the Negaverse." He chuckled, till holding the money out to the woman, not too keen to be on the business end of her bow if he could help it. He could still eliminate her if he wanted, make it look like a mugging gone wrong but... No. He didn't know enough about her to take that chance. He would not do more harm than was necessary. "In the same manner the lion has the right to decide when the gazelle dies," Leucite continued. "I am a hunter - of men and knights and senshi - have you by chance encountered the invaders?" He was trying to be theatrical. He was probably hamming it up a bit too much. He wasn't ever a really good actor. "It doesn't matter what they can and cannot do. I have decided he was unworthy to continue living - his soul is mine - and his money ours, if you will take it." Sirene Naiads >.> Sure, yeah, let's go with that.

Those eyes flickered for a moment. From him, to the 'dead' man, to the stack of money. Had this been a movie, this would have been making a deal with the devil. But this wasn't a movie. It was life.
And that was a ton of money.
Finally letting her bow sag, Imara's expression softened. She wasn't in 'kill' mode anymore but she wasn't trusting him either. "You are a horrible actor" She commented, shifting the bow over her body but keeping the arrow in her hand. "Put the money on the ground and step back. I don't trust that you won't try to pull my soul out."

Leucite couldn't help but grin at that - very few people had the balls to call him out. This woman had spunk, he could appreciate that. Watching her as he did as she asked, not entirely trusting her either - she was armed and that meant trouble regardless of his advanced abilities. Though he could just teleport away - but that would be a wasted opportunity. "I am, that's true - you got me there." He finally conceded once the money was placed on the ground and he took a step back. "And you have guts, or spunk - moxie? Hell I don't even know what people call it nowadays." Shaking his head he realize he was starting to ramble and that wasn't helping. "You don't fit my criteria for starseed pulling anyway, so you're fine." It wasn't a complete lie - he'd rather build up her view of the Negaverse though instead of just leaving unnecessary bodies in his wake. "To be completely honest, I bet if I reached into your chest I'd find a starseed brimming with life and power and you'd be a perfect candidate for joining the Negaverse. Sadly I am not able to do such a thing... alone. Nor do I really savor the idea of conscription..." It could be forced on her - but why drag a lamb to the flock. "But if you ever want a chance to save the world - to do something great with your life, just look around and find us - we're always looking for more hands in this war."

The reference was over her head and she had to raise an eyebrow at the strange man. "So whatever group you work for does not teach lingo." Imara commented, stepping forward as if to approach the cash.
It was a slow walk, especially when her eyes were locked on him.
But he was still talking as she finally bent her knees to retrieve a little bit of well worn cash. "Reached into my chest and you would find a beating heart. I know nothing of this star seed plant you are blabbering about. Maybe it's time you check a medical book? Or point out your space craft."
Picking up the stack of bills, she slipped them into her back pocket without counting. "And save the world from what?"

"A starseed is your soul," Leucite said matter-of-factly. "And I'm not an alien, I'm as human as they come." Leucite laughed softly. "I could see the question of that, but no, trust me, I was born of this Earth and on this Earth I shall die." He found himself unconsciously crossing himself. "One day they'll read my last rites, and that'll be the end of that." He said, lowering his hand again. "I no doubt would find a heart beating in that chest, a warrior's heart. One that would serve the Negaverse well." He shrugged then. "Just, think it over," was all he said after the shrug, before moving over to the wall to lean on it, allowing himself to relax. "As far as to what you'd be saving the world from." He said, slowly letting his gaze up to the moon. "Why it'd be against the dangers of the White Moon Senshi, of course."

"You would not have to go far to die once you left this Earth." Imara said, rolling her eyes. There was no air in space after all. Still, getting there was the more interesting notion if he claimed not to have a space craft.
When he leaned against the wall, Imara's feet quickly shuffled to put her closer to the other. "White Moon...you meant those skirt wearing, throwing people off building, paralyzing bitches?" Okay, maybe a bit much but those women had rubbed her the wrong way after all. "They are worthless. No backbone and way too easy of a target."
She was smirking, remembering the arrow she had sent through that one's leg.

"Ah, so you've already encountered them," Leucite said with a chuckle. "That's good, then I don't have to explain why we're fighting them. Could you imagine how awful this world would be with them in charge? That's what we're trying to prevent." He eyed her smirk for a moment. "I take it your encounter with them ended well? For you anyway?" He was curious as to what had exactly happened. She was sounding more and more appealing as a recruit by the second.

"Them...in charge? Oh don't make me laugh!" But Imara couldn't help it and she did laugh. Light and loud. The thought of women like the ones she had met running this world was hysterical. Priceless even. "They would either never get anything done or destroy us for frowning."
As her laughter died, she crossed her arms under her c-cup chest. "So is that all you do then? Fight to stop them from taking over the world? Seems easy enough."

"I'm of the mind the former, but the later kind of chills me to the bone at the thought," Leucite said with a slight grin. "I'm glad that you're nonplussed by their powers though." The more and more she spoke the more and more he wanted her to ask about joining up. They needed more like her in the Negaverse, that was without a doubt. He looked her over again, taking in all of her assets and nodded his head. "It can be, but their magic can make it hard in a fight sometimes. But yeah, keep them from getting the upper hand and in my case, keeping the streets clean of scum like the guy you saw me take care of."

"Since the cops won't do anything about some of them." Her eyes shifted back towards the fallen body. Visually she shivered. Mentally, she just didn't care. The man was going to end up dead one day. Leucite just made it happen sooner.
Imara remained silent for a moment, nothing but the sounds around them before she finally looked back at the man. "What's the catch?"

"Why do you think there is a catch?" Leucite asked, his brow raising slowly. "Aside from, well, basically embroiling yourself into a war, there's not much of a catch. We don't ask you to change your identity. You'll start at the bottom and work your way up in the organization. We function somewhat like a military unit. I'm a Captain, so I oversee Lieutenants. A General oversees me. I make sure the people I supervise gather energy and deal with the Senshi threat." "Other than that," he said with a shrug. "Not really a catch, lots of power, increased speed, agility... The ability to teleport..." Leucite vanished from Imara's view. "That is once you've reached Captain's rank..." He said with a chuckle from behind her. "There are other benefits as well, this is just barely scratching the surface of the gifts signing up with the Negaverse brings..."
