Royal Class
Queen: The Queen is the highest ruling body in the pack. They may remarry and divorce as they see fit, as long as all parties agree to it. There may be a queen without a kind, but no king without a queen. Only the queen may pass down her bloodline and only her children will be considered heirs to the current throne. Only a queen may take a consort.
King: one of the rulers of the pack. This rank may not always be taken, but in the case of a king marrying, his wife will become queen, but he may not take a consort.
Consort: A lover to the queen - they can be any gender. They hold as much power as the rank of the King, even if there is also a king on the throne. There may be multiple consorts at once, depending on the current queen.

Heir: The child of the queen being readied to take the throne. They are always named heir at birth.
Prince/Princess: Children of the current Queen, King, or Consort. While only the Queen's children may take the rank of an heir, any royal children can take this rank (ex. If the Consort and King have a litter). They may take on other ranks in adulthood, but hold this rank until they are able to do so.
Noble Class
Lord/Lady: Siblings to the kings and queens if they do not take on another rank. Mates of Princess/Princes/Heirs will take this rank as well if the child does not take on a lower rank first (Ex. The Queen's brother is in the guard. His mate cannot take this rank).

Excavation Captain: the overseer of all digging that happens in the mountain. They double check everything and all the lead excavators answer to them.

Middle Class
Lead Excavator: This excavator heads both the miners and the excavators. They are the ones who decide the places for new dens and mines. They answer to the excavation captain.
Lead Hunter: a hunter that has advanced enough to lead their own team.
Lead Guard: a head guard has a small platoon of guards and sentries that they lead. They answer to the Guard Captain.
Head Healer: The head of the morticians and healers.
Excavator: Excavators shift rocks and dig dens. They sometimes work closely with miners to find new areas to dig in
Miner: These hyenas dig to find anything they may find valuable. These may be shiny rocks and gems, to metals
Hunter: These members will leave the safety of the cave more often than others to hunt for larger prey to feed the pack.
