 Holly was looking around Phonyland for some more plants, wondering if she would find anything new today. Hopefully she would, finding a new type of flower or any other sort of plant always cheered her up. Currently though she had a plant she had found earlier, wondering if she could also find some more if it.
As she continued on, she noticed someone off in the distance, heading over toward them to see what was going on ", Hello?"

Safe Haven was wandering around the meadow a short ways away from home with his chicken, Doodle, by his side. The foal was hoping to find himself some wild berry bushes that he could dig up and bring back home to grow in the backyard. At the moment he'd found a rather scraggly looking blueberry bush that was devoid of all leaves and looked like someone had tried to eat it. Time to move on. If he couldn't find anything better he'd come back, but...
With a sigh he turned to the white and pale pink chicken, "There's gotta be better ones out there, huh?" His ears twitched as a 'hello' reached his ears and the earth phony turned his gaze towards the voice to spot a little green filly approaching. With a blush he quickly looked back to his chicken to loudly say "Hi."

"What brings you out here?" Holly asked as she approached, seeing the chicken with the other phony. She had never seen one before! ", I haven't seen you before. Are you new to Phonyland?"

Oh boy, she was still talking to him? "Well..." The earth colt cleared his throat, pawing nervously at the grass with his hooves. "I was out looking for berry bushes, so i could jump start my garden. The hunt isn't going to well," he mumbles, still avoiding looking at the other phony. He closed his eyes for a moment, taking a deep breath. It was just Doodle talking to him, not some stranger. Just his nice little chicken. Nothing to be nervous about. Nothing at all.
"I guess you could say i'm new around here..."

Did she seem like him when she first came to Phonyland? If she did, she felt sorry for the poor thing. He probably didn't even have a friend yet besides his chicken, and while pets were great she was sure it wouldn't be quite the same as someone else.
"Berry bushes you say? I managed to grab a plant earlier, and it grows berries," she began to lower herself more as to help her stay steady as she reached into her bag, putting out a branch with berries ", I headed out to find more plants for my own garden, and I found this. However, I wanted to try and find a smaller version of it so I could bring it home and nurture it to be big and strong. By the way, my name is Holly Mistletide. Who might you and your friend be?"

Forced to turn his gaze on the phony to get a good view of the plant, Haven's face turned bright red. "Y-yeah," he stuttered, trying to focus on the leaves rather than the girl's face. "Oh... That's a Fairy Bell bush," he mumbled, ears pinning back against his head.
With some relief he took the opportunity to resume looking at his pet chicken. He let out a sigh, reaching to gently stroke his feathered friend, eyes full of affection. "This is Doodle. My name is Safe Haven."

"Fairy Bell you say? I will have to keep that in mind," she put the branch back in its bag carefully, placing it back in her carrying bag. Her plants meant a lot to her, so she took really good care of them. After having it put away she turned to face him with a gentle smile ", It is nice to meet you both Safe Haven and Doodle. I have another plant on me if you want to see it? Or maybe I can come to your place if you have one? I would like to get to know you more. Who knows? Perhaps we can discuss the Fairy Bell further. I have been trying to find some more of them, but having no luck so far."

Givingn a quick nod, the colt quickly averted his eyes. "Yep. Fairy Bell." He flushed, turning his eyes back towards the trees. "There should be lots of wild berries growing in there." His ears flattened against his head and he carefully reached over to stroke his chicken's feathers in an attempt to calm himself.
"O-oh! Okay?" He peeked over at the little mer, pulling Doodle closer. "My dad has a greenhouse. There are lots plants for sale there, but maybe i can get you one for free or something..." He trailed off into a mumble, trying to think of how he could possibly convince Hyd of that.

"Oh I can play for one if you can't," she replied, situating her bag before looking back at him with a soft smile. He really did seem like the kind of phony she would like to hang out with, and Doodle seemed like the perfect chicken according to her ", So is it okay if you take me to your place? I really would like to see them if that is okay. I have my own garden, so seeing more plants always gets me excited."

Haven stared desperately at Doodle, struggling to function. "O-oh. Yeah. Yeah, that's ok." He flushed, rolling onto his hooves as he began a shuffle through the grasses back towards home. His chicken fluffed up her wings, squawking as she scrambled after the colt. With a pause he turned back, staring at the ground as he pointed a hoof. "It's th-this way."

Holly gave Haven a nod when he pointed in the direction to go, making sure to follow him. Perhaps she could make conversation with Haven and Doodle on the the there? Maybe she could discuss about where he lived some? ", So do you live with anyone Haven besides Doodle? I live by myself. It gets really lonely, so I have had to try and get over my shy nature to make friends."

Haven gave a nod as he trotted towards Hyd's flower shop. At least the purpose gave him an excuse to avoid looking at her. Then he could just pretend he was having a normal chat with doodle as he went. The little birds feathers brushing up against him as they walked side by side brought him a sense of peace. "Mhmm... My papa, he owns a flower shop. I get a lot of seeds for vegetables there for the garden he's helping me with in the backyard." He pursed his lips as she mentioned she lived alone, turning his head so he could see her just slightly out of the corner of his eye.
"That's too bad..."

A small frown formed on the colt's face as he peeked at the filly out of the corner of his eye. "Oh. Yeah. That's too bad." He mumbled, unsure of what the proper thing to say in this sort of situation would be. If his papa hadn't taken him in he would've been in a similar situation himself.
"Mhmm." Haven's eyes quickly averted their gaze now that he was given an escape from the depressing thoughts. "Yep. See that big greenhouse on the corner?" This time he looked to his chicken for confirmation. Animals were just so much easier than other phony.

A nod soon followed after she was shown the greenhouse. so he lived near or in that? Seemed legit to her! What better place to live if you loved plans than near or in a greenhouse? As they got closer, she made sure she wasn't hurting any possible plants that could get caught in her hover device or get caught on her tail ", Yes I see it. Do you live near it? Is your family home?"
