Here we go again, time for [ Greater Shoulders of the Aquamarine ]! While he was starting out from Lancelot's cottage-cave this time, the method was the same. Find an artifact, bring it back, acquire nicely inscribed version on it to wear. He was tasked with getting a set of shoulders with aquamarines set in them. He wasn't sure if he'd seen something like that the last time he'd gone to the mountain, but there was a first time for everything!
He packed up his horse and began his journey.

My character's name: Ridon Character's journal link:[ x ] BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF MY CHARACTER Ridon is a small boy, with pale skin and fine blonde hair. Light blue eyes sit in a sort of hollow face, and his cloths seem too big for his body. Rank of character Knight
The road was craig filled again, but the goats and bears were absent. Ridon was thankful for this, and only tripped once, doing the expected food spilling. How he kept making the same mistake over and over, bothered him to no end. Perhaps it was fate, perhaps the road was just that bad, but whatever the case he swore he always lost food on these treks. Be it here, or the horse ran away, or someone stole his food.
It was like they didn't want him to come home with food. How rude!

Half a bag of food ended up falling down the cliff, which given the little amount he already had, it was incredibly unfortunate. But he'd perserve~ He had before, he would again!
At least the horse wasn't gone, and he wasn't sick again. He could handle a rationing his food.

He spoke to soon. No sooner than he'd reached the forest again, did his stomach revolt against him. He wondered what it was about this forest that disagreed with his stomach. Did it have some sort of pollen that he violently rejected? Was it the elves? Did they poison the air so if you went in the wrong section you got horribly sick? Did the mountain path poison him instead?
All of these questions floated through his mind as Ridon turned his horse around and went back to the cottage-cave, to start anew.

This time, Ridon made sure he had fresh food, and lots of it. He almost over packed the horse, wanted to have a good buffer zone when he enevitably lost the horse, or dropped some off the cliff, or what have you. He'd get there and get back without issue this time, definitely.
He was maybe an hours ride out before the sickness struck him again. How could he be sick again! He'd just stopped being sick. Maybe he didn't wait long enough? He hung his head, focused on a spot between his pony's ears and hoped he didn't puke all over his head. Or tabard. Or anything else. Ugh this sucked so bad. Why was dysentery a thing...

He waited until he was good and healthy before leaving again, making sure he had enough food this time (and nothing was rotten). He set out with his pony, head held high. He'd do it this time, and get farther than the damn forest. He really hated that forest. Almost as much as the goats.
It could have been worse. It could have been goats. It could have been homicidal goats. He kept muttering to this as the pony ran off with a entire bees nest chased it. He was lucky to have grabbed the food before the pony ran off, but man.
It could have been dysentery again.

He came out on the summit to be offered food by an old wizard. Ridon narrowed his eyes, wondering if it was Merlin and why Merlin was hiding out here in the first place. He made no comment, simply thanking him for the food and picking up his shoulders. The aquamarines glinted and he journeyed home, one more piece of gear under his belt.
