Adopt: Oblivionite Boy Character Name: Tharor [Last Name] Gender: Male Clan: None uvu Class: Battler [Melee fighter] Personality:
Energetic || Nutty || Intellectual || Playful || Confused || Prideful
Tharor's a very unique individual. He likes to take life one step at a time...Or is it two? That being said, the poor boy tends to second guess himself a lot, often resulting in very flippy and confusing behavior. One moment he's so sure he took the right path, two steps later, he thinks he should've taken the left path. This type of behavior also bleeds into conversations with others, where one moment it seems like he understands what they person is saying and then he adds a question at the end. Nearly every sentence he says has a question on the end.
Despite his apparent confusion, Tharor is pretty smart whether it is believable or not. He's not a genius, but he is a quick learner when it comes to most things, hunting being the best one so far. He plans to apply his intellect to strategizing and improving his fighting skills as a melee fighter. He also has energy...Liek a lot of energy. This allows him to push himself a bit more than most.
Gotta get tired some how! However, because he is full of energy, Tharor can and will be a bit of an annoyance due to the fact that he can bounce everywhere and become a bit chatty. This also ties in with the nutty part of his personality. He likes to be....Funny, in a strange way. You'll find him making jokes that would make a normally fun time around the fire a bit awkward. If no one laughs, he'll just keep going on as if he didn't just say something that make the air a bit stale.
That being said, he his nuttiness also bleeds over to his fighting style. He likes to be unpredictable, ever changing and a bit scary. One moment it seems like he's gonna slash for days, the next he might throw his shoe at you...It depends on the time of day...Maybe.
Despite all the confusion surrounding him,Tharor takes pride in everything that he does, from cooking, to hunting. He belives [more like his father once said] that you must do everything with pride and absolute clarity lest you face the consequences of going in blind. He couldnt standby a more truer statement. To not have pride in general often leaves things to be desired for the most part.
Biography/Background: Tharor was born to a militant mother and a father that worked in a brothel. His mother met his father when she had a lapse in her judgement. She was lonely, he was sorta handsome and available...For the right amount of coin that is. Being slightly under the influence didn't help matters either. So, one lusty drunken night of paid passion led to Tharor's mother conceiving her "greatest mistake". Often, his mother considered numerous things to end her pregnancy, yet she didn't like any of the ideas she came up with.
After she gave birth, Tharor's mother had come up with three options:
1. Kill her son, riding herself of an unwanted burden 2. Leave him with his father 3. Leave him with some one else that she didn't know.
Luckily, she went with the third option, not wanting to soil her conscience with the death of her own flesh and blood, his father probably wouldn't want to have an infant in his place of work either. A brothel was no place to raise a child in her opinion so that left her with the third option. Once she was well enough to travel, Tharor's mother went looking for a susceptible place for her child to live. She thanked the gods for her luck when she happened upon a traveling merchant. She waited till nightfall, carrying her sleeping son as carefully as she could.
When she arrived at his temporary stall, she worried her lip, second thoughts brewing in her mind. She looked down at her son with a sigh, turning back. She couldn't do it...She spent all those months carrying him only to abandon him by the wayside. Anaise smiled for the first time since she found out she was pregnant.
Perhaps being a mother wouldn't be so bad?
She had to keep repeating the mantra as her son grew into the quirky child he is today.
She didn't know how she was going to do this.
Thoughts on the Great Engagement: "Whats that? Is it something I should be worried about?" Thoughts on the Magescian Races:
*[Dovaa]: "Dragon people! Or so thats what father said before I left. I dont know much about them except that they seem like a bunch of stiffss?" *[Ordinites]: "The light to the dark? Goody two shoes is what mother used to say. I dont know...Seems like they're a bunch of.....People that think theyre right all the time?" *[Oblivionites]: "My Race! The bunch of dark, evil, downers...I dont understand this saying since I'm not much of a downer at all nor am I evil....Or so I think." *[Hybrids]: "Im...curious about them. I know everyone tends to look down on the poor creatures, but just because you're not pure doesn't mean you can't belong. I wish I was a hybrid, being the best of two worlds seems like fun!" Thoughts on the Dragons and Khehora: "Dragons that are able to take on a more humanoid form? I'd like to see that for myself! That would be something amazing! As far as dragons go, I'd love to hunt one down! Just for the thrill and the glory! Yeah!" Statistics:
*[Attack]: 5 *[Defense]: 2 *[Intellect]: 3
Points used: 10

So...he got lost and then just decided to leave the city and adventure on his own? How old was he when this happened? Did anything happen in the bad part of town? Also please realize that Magesc is a dangerous world for a child on their own. So you'll need to take this into account if you do go with him being on his own. It will be hard for a child. How will he eat, fight...survive? I'd also like to hear his thoughts on hybrids. They're an essential part of Magesc. You'll also need to distribute his 10 stat points if he's going to be a battler. You have atk, def and int to pick from.

Alrighty, he looks good to me now - you have my official approval. :] One thing I would keep in mind/wonder about as you develop him is that in his "opinion" on the Great Engagement, it sounds more or less like he just hasn't really heard of it, but his mother sounds like the type who probably would have spoken to him about it? But that's up to you to work out as you play him and set up his journal.
Go forth, Tharor!

You also have my approval. Just remember what Uke said. The Great Engagement was a huge deal as far as Magesc history goes and, even though there is peace right now, it is still talked about. Just like any of our wars. So as soon as you get a quote for his cert to me, I'll get him certed up. We'll get his journal made up asap. -nods-
