Etai Aijou was out and about with her familiar Kitsune that she proudly named even if she only ever calls him Kit. Over the years she has grown to have a fetish to those that have more then more tail. Like her adoptive mother and sister. Herself as well. Heck even her familiar has more then one tail. He has more then she does and that makes her pout from time to time. But she can be proud seeing that she has two tails and using them both she can play more games and when the feeling of wanting to be wrapped up in something soft.. Her two tails have her covered. Nothing can beat having more then one something. After all there is something she has heard about but never seen and that is the holy ones called Angeni who carry two sets of wings. She has even heard of a bloodline that has even more wings then that.
Now that was something she wanted to see. Although tails are better then wings in her mind. Well yeah but maybe that is because she has the tails and doesn't have any wings. Besides the thought of flying wasn't something that excited her. To her it seemed to be less fun in her eyes. Maybe being so young as she is this way of thinking is because she does not yet understand a lot about the world. DarkenWoodWolf quote me for faster tags. This Way to Darken's Teepee
Ears twitching, she watched the other Soquili and her familiar. Riomie had all four sets of her wings folded down, pawed feet resting softly on the ground. This place had been good to her, she'd seen many different types of Soquili, but none had been able to see her. It was perfect for her hunt. This one, though, she was unique. Rio tilted her head, sunlight sparking off her armor. Two tails and paws. Well, the paws wasn't so different, as she had them as well, but she'd never met another with two tails.
Rio wondered how different it was. Of course, she understood about being different. She had eight wings, where most winged others had two, maybe four. Members of her family, distant and immediate, had three to four, or so she'd heard. She's seen those with three, but never four. That might be a hunt for another day.
Today, however, she stepped out of the shadows, wind ruffling her hair, and took slow, cautious steps toward the other, stalking her. Rio wanted to know what it was like to be her kind of different.
"You." Riomie called, voice cold and detached, even though she really was curious. It wouldn't do for the mare to know that, after all. Standing tall, eyes glowing, she stopped a safe distance away. Fighting was one of the things she was bred for, but Rio didn't think she wanted to fight the other mare, at least not yet. She wanted to know more about her first. Still, it didn't hurt to be careful. Riomie flared her wings, all of them, letting them catch the summer wind. "What are you called?"

Etai Aijou hearing a voice as she turns about seeing this new mare. And wow just wow this mare not only had pawed like Etai, her sister, and adoptive mother had. But she had wings. Oh my lord a lot of wings. Why would one need so many wings? Could this mare even fly with that many wings? Then hearing the mare ask her what she is as she thinks a bit on that. "Well I think a Paper Fox is what I am. Or at least that is what I been called." Her ears twitch a bit as her two tails move as if they were flicked once right after the other one. The floating disk above her back was caused to spin a bit when the tail on the left hit it a bit.
This had Etai move her head to bite the disk and stop it as she releases it. She isn't sure how the disk floats above her. Just that it does. Turning back to face the mare before her. "I am Etai Aijou. My name means Nature's Beloved Daughter. May I ask what you might be called? As well as to what you are as well? So many wings." She points out and realizes a bit that she might have sounded a bit rude. "Sorry if that sounded rude. I did not mean for it to." Her familiar just stays close to her without a word or sound.[[post hosts 243 words --this is just my notes to myself--]]

Riomie tilted her head to the side, eyes glowing brightly as she regarded the strange mare. "Paper Fox..?" She trailed off, trying to figure out what the mare meant. She obviously wasn't made of paper, though she did have some resemblance to a fox. Still, it was an odd thing to say. Rio noted the two tails idly, wondering why they were that way. She shook of the thought, though. It would lead her to wonder why she was built the way she was, but she already knew the answer to that.
"Etai Aijou." She repeated the name, committing it to memory with determination. Rio did not know if the mare was to be worthy of Valhalla, but she was different enough that she was worthy of note, at least. And Rio would remember her name. "I am Riomie. It has no meaning, to my knowledge." She tilted her head, studying the mare, wondering how to answer last question. What was she? It wasn't something easily answered, so she took the moment to consider it.
What was she? She was what they called a quadwing, pawed, decedent of Lucifer. She was a daughter, a sister, a loyal member of her herd. Those were all things that she was, but none of them came close to describing what she was. True, she could list them off, but would they have any more meaning to Etai than the 'paper fox' comment did to her?
Still. With a smile that was not in the least friendly, she replied softly, but proudly. "I am a Valkyrie."

"Riomie... That is a nice name it sounds pretty and has a smooth ring to it when said. I like it." Etai Aijou waits for her last question to be answered and as it was answered she brightens up. "I am not sure what a Valkyrie is but it sounds like something heavenly and divine. It is an honor to meet you." She bows a bit as she is done with that then she stands straight again. "So many pretty wings. I might not have wings of any kind so I am not sure how it is to fly but I wonder is it hard for you to fly with so many wings? I would image that it would be." Her tails flick one after the one as she moves them a bit. She loved to play with her tails and she can't help but to flick and move them every few minutes. Like how horses twitch when flies land on them. Waiting on Riomie as she wonders if asking that was a bit rude not that she sees how it would be but to another it might be. "I am sorry if that sounded rude. I didn't mean it to."WC:: 201

Riomie took the complIment in stride. She liked her own name, and though the same inside as the other mare thought aloud. Though, perhaps, she should at least thank her from the comment. It wasn't often than others remarked on her name, as opposed to her wings and her paws. Her eyes got a lot of attention as well. It seemed that having paws, as she did, and red glowing eyes, as she did, made her evil, to some of the less enlightened. The fact that she had to kill in order to fulfill her duties probably didn't help that assessment.
"Thank you." She said finally, after too long a pause where she was considering other things, things in the manner of her job. It was always difficult to tell at a first meeting, because others were so often false in their actions, hoping to impress or intimidate. This mare, though, seemed sincere, at least.
It was no surprise to Rio that the mare did not know of her or her tasks. The only question was whether or not to tell her what she really did. Riomie mulled it over in her mind as Etai Aijou bowed a litle. Automatically, Rio did the same, though she kept her bow shallower than Etai's.
"A Valkyrie selects those who are worthy and sees their souls to Valhalla." She said, simply enough. That in order to ferry those souls to Valhalla, those who were worthy had to be killed at the claws, or paws of a Valkyrie was not something she liked to bandy about. It gave the wrong impression. She was not really killing those souls, if she ever found one worthy, but making sure they would go to their rightful place. A better place than this.
RIomie didn't consider herself heavenly or divine. She was a creature very much of this world, though her soul would be taken to Valhalla upon her death. Still, it was nice of Etai to say, and Rio found herself wondering if she should thank the two tailed mare again, or if the one already said would be enough.
She really didn't have a good grasp on small talk, or how one was supposed to react to some things. Like compliments.
Twitching her wings so that they flared out a bit, all eight wings visible, she smiled slightly. Rio did take pride in her wings. They made her strong and different. But, Etai was right about it being hard to fly with so many. "In the beginning, perhaps, but once I was an adult, I found it to be quite... Thrilling, being able to fly with four sets of strong wings to keep me higher than the rest." Riomie thought back to her first attempts at flight which were horrible. It was a miricle she survived them, honestly, since she would not accept any help or instruction, at first. Though, without her stubborn insistance on independance, she never would have met Arioso Canto, who has been with her since they were children, off and on. Him healing her, her protecting him. It made her smile widen, thinking of him and the adventures that they had shared so far.
"I do not find it rude of you to express your thoughts." Riomie answered, waving away the need to apologize with one of her top wings. "Especially when, without training and a reat deal more practice than you would think, it is nigh impossible to fly." She knew, though, how to fly with up to three sets of her wings 'injured' so even without all her wings, she still could fly. Though it was much much harder to do so. Still, Rio was a warrior, she needed to know she could do such things.

Etai Aijou listening as she looks at Riomie. Her tails swaying side to side as they flick from time to time as well. "Valhalla.. Hmm I have heard of it before. But here is something I have often wondered. There are many beliefs in the world. So what if you find a worthy soul but they don't believe in Valhalla. What do you do then?" She wonders a bit as she wasn't sure about that and it made her ponder over it. "Or are those you looking for believers of Valhalla only?" Asking another question before the first one could be answered.
Etai Aijou has been told about Valhalla in myths and things by her Herd Leader. But he made it all seem unreal. "I am a gatherer for a Herd. I kill food and collect things. So for me having paws is a must. As for the flying thing.. Well no wings here so flying is something I can not do. But I am ok with that. I love to watch others fly. It is pretty to see. My herd leader and his five brothers have wings. So does the Head Ceremonial Pony Toma-Kun. But he kinda creeps me out." She giggles on that.
"He is the kind that would lock their lover up in a cage so to protect them.." She stated the reason why he gives her the creeps. "Is there anyone who creeps you out? After all I was told by my Herd Leader that for every beautiful mare alive there is a creeper. Seeing you are a beautiful mare I am just wondering if you know someone that creeps you out. Sorry if I seem annoying." She turns her head and bits on the disk floating above her back as she moves it to in front of her so she can still see Riomie. Nomming on it so that she doesn't chat too much.
Which is something that she gets carried away with from time to time. So nomming on her disk helps her not chit chat too much to annoy someone. Her tails flicking again then swaying more. She can't keep her tails still even for a minute. Etai Aijou as to move her tails. It is a nervous habbit of hers in order to keep her hyperness in check. The longer her tails are still the more she is bouncing about the please like a bunny. So the nomming on her disk and moving of her tails are pretty much to keep her claim. Releasing the disk as it floats to return to being above her back. "Your eyes are also super pretty." She points out as she smiles with a slight charm to her as she watches Riomie.WC:: 456

Riomie considered the question, the first one anyway, as the other mare rambled on with more questions. She took note of them and planned to answer, but that first question was... interesting. As Rio had not come across anyone she wanted to send to Valhalla, she did not really know. Something to ask her mother, perhaps, or another Valkyrie. It wasn't like Rio would go out, see someone worthy and just kill them. She would want to check with one of the others first, to be sure. Sending someone unworthy to Valhalla might cost her her own place there.
Rio blinked once at the compliment to her eyes, realizing that she had been silent for some time. While thinking, she had been listening though, and she let what Etai had been saying replay in her mind while she watched the mare chew on her... disk? A floating disk thing. Rio had no clue what it was, or why Etai decided to bite it.
After another minute or so of silence she finally spoke up. "I do not know what would happen in that case, if they did not believe." When she was younger, she would have thought that idea ridiculous. But she grew up, and knew better now. "I shall ask it of my herd, they will know the answer." And she really did plan too. In fact, she was making mental plans to start back toward her home after this meeting. The question would bother her greatly until she had it answered.
"A fine job. When I was younger, I helped hunt for food as well,, and found that paws really did come in handy." Rio smiled at their point of commonality, somewhat surprised that she found something that they both had done.
"Flying is... freedom. That is the best way for me to describe it, I think." She never thought of it as pretty or anything like that. It was just... a useful tool to get her where she needed to be, something to do in her spare time, and something to enjoy whenever she felt like it.
At them mention of the stallion who creeped Etai out, Riomie frowned sharply and shook her head. "That does not sound like someone I would like to be around." She flexed her powerful wings and showed her fangs a bit. "And if anyone tried something to harm me, or cage me, I am trained to be able to take care of myself." She softened her expression somewhat, pulling her mind back from a fight that was not to be. "I know of none I would call such a thing, but I have not met many stallions in my travels"
Riomie tilted her head and considered her again. "I do not find you annoying. You have presented me with important questions to ask of my herd, and I thank you for that."
