Aiden picked up the food they had given him with a determined face. This time he would NOT come back without the 'Greater Tabard of the Byakko'! He would be extra careful not to get sick this time around as well. He had made sure to eat a balanced meal of meat, grained, fruits, and vegetables before he set off to see the Guild Master to ask once again to go after the artifact. Sure he could have gone after something else but at this point he needed to get the tabard. If he didn't then it would drive him nuts! He saddled up Souji and set off, eyes hard with focus. As Aiden rode, not quite to the forest just yet, he came across a wild animal. It snarled at him and Souji then attacked, launching it self at the knight. The green haired man was quick to direct Souji to gallop out of the way of the attack, not that the horse needed much directing. However he had underestimated the speed the animal had and it bounced off a tree an sliced it's claws across his back, causing him to yell out in pain. He swung out his septum at the animal, making it back off enough so Souji could take off down the road, bringing them to relative safety. The next stop was the forest and what a confusing forest it was. There were so many twists and turns that it would be easy to get lost with in the shaded depths, and lost they did for a while. Aiden was just starting to recognize his way out when there were some howls nearby, startling Souji enough to buck him off. Aiden landed on his back with a cry as it aggravated his wounds and watched as his horse ran away. "Great, just great." He sighed and gather himself and his food provisions up. He groaned when he saw the rip in the bag. "This just keeps getting better and better." QUEST STATUS Food remaining: 26/26 YOUR HP: 20/30 Rolling a 3: Your horse gives up on you, running away. The next place on his quest was the mountains and the labyrinth with in them. Aiden ignored the bones all around as he walked on and on. The proof of death was not going to stop him from reaching his goal, he was determined that nothing would. As he walked he came across a crate and he peeked inside to see if there was anything he could use for his quest. Thankfully it had a good amount of food within it and he was quick to pack it in with the rest of his provisions. Once that was taken care of he continued on through the twists, turns, and dead ends. Finally. Finally he had made it to the top of the mountain. He paused to take it all in, the victory, the scenery, the feeling that he probably just barely escaped getting sick once again only to find his goal. Everything. He breathed deeply then walked over to the resting place of the tabard and gently picked it up. He held it in his hands and stared at it with joy. He did it. He didn't get sick, he didn't die, he didn't have a misfortune at the last moment. He did it, and on his own to boot. Aiden grinned and slipped the tabard into a pack, just barely stopping himself from yelling out his victory having remembered what happened with Ami, but couldn't help bouncing on his feet. Now this, this was a quest he could be proud of. This was a quest he could tell Makayla about with a smile.
