The cental focus of the (first) volume is the actions of (The antagonist) Yuffie Myrioku. what we see over the course of the story arcs is her being the (other) central focus. Which ask a lot of questions:
What is she doing?
What is she after?
What is her motivation?
What is she doing in the hero's hometown?
The pemise of this (Volume) is to explore her motivations and changing mindset and the path she's following. Whare it will take her is the biggest question of them all. Will it lead her to redemption? A good old happy ending? .... Or something terrible?
This Voulume of The Kazuma Chronicles will conisist of 7 Story Arcs

Phantom Rush
Bullet Train
Secret Conflict.
Excess velocticy.
Imperfect future.

The overview will soon be be updated with currenly progessing Story Arcs.
The Vampire Origins arc will use a branching System inspired by that of the Drakengard Games and Nier as well as various others such as Shadow The Hedgehog, The Blazblue games and Guilty Gear (To an extent) the story will continue as normal.
Note: This is a plot device used exclusively for this Arc. It will be used to lead to different outcomes and possible alternative continuities and stories. But these paths will be separated of themselves and will not affect the main storyline therefore not overlapping.

Update:
As of rencently....... Yuffie Myrioku and myself are no longer partners.
The blame is placed squarely on my shoulders for letting past events affect my judgement and progress on the the RP. (As well as my lack for a answer of coming up with good episode titles.)
However that doesn't mean that the RP will be discontiued.
It just means that i have to accomadate for the unfortunate event and do what anyone would probably do under these extreme circumstances: Improvise.
It won't come without...... doing a few changes however.
I already have a few ideeas in mind. If i have the time i will address them maybe today or at a later date.
To be honest.... I'm really heartbroken that it has come to this. In fact it hurts so much i can hardly sleep at night these days..... But for those who concened don't worry i'll be fine. I just have to finish up on the RP. Even through it's just a solo job now.
I'm also currently working on the outlines for episodes 8-13 which just happens to be part of the first branch. (Branch A) So it's not too bad. (Although i'm still trying to decide how many branches it should go up to.)
Note: Is it really possible to finsh a RP solo? I mean i've done a few RP's solo before but it really wouldn't be exciting doing it alone would it? Just asking.
