Something screeched out of the sky and dropped down on him, heavy talons scraping along his shoulders. Horace slashed upwards and decided very abruptly that he hated birds.

"Watch out!" he called out to the other knight nearby.

Like, Horace was alright at hitting things. Sometimes. Birds were no exception, although the flying thing was annoying. So annoying, in fact, that he hit the shadow extra hard, and it just kind of... flopped over and died.
