My funniest moment on Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate was literally just now after I fought a Savage Deviljho in the offline G Rank Expedition.
obviously cos my main weapon is insect glaive and mastered the art of deviljho fighting, with help from my Excello armor (Molten tigrex) I was really giving it a hard time, what with Evasion+2 and dragons res +15 added on it was a breeze, that's not the funny part.....
...This is, it was pretty weak at the time, didn't know it was literally seconds from death, so is sent my scarab like kinsect to get the attack essence and....
BAM! right on the chin the Deviljho went down like a sack of potatoes, another kill for the bug

my funniest moment wasn't exactly a proud one; When me and some friends were fighting a high level guild quest Ruby Basarios online, it suddenly teleported and then blindsided me with a fire beam from out of nowhere. My friend was streaming it on twitch at the time, and saved it for posterity EDIT: Found the link - http://www.twitch.tv/nojikochan/c/6261245My Hunter's name is Eleana

(( this is only one of what I would consider to be funniest times in MH ))
This was when I was HR 7 still. Was helping some friends I skype with ( D&D groups and the like) and I was helping them along getting to HR4.
An aussie pal of mine, "Dash" ( hammer at the time ), a tf2 and D&D friend "King Gibus" ( IG ) , and another one from the D&D group "Grey". ( HH )
First time they left without me and I let them give Daren a shot. They fail. But here's the worst part: they're on final showdown. >"By the way, if he topples over and his mouth is open, you can carve it."
"Wait, really?"
"yep."
needless to say two of them got caught in the mouth for staying too long....
I had my laugh of being a d**k and went with them the second time.
The best moment was when Dash unintentionally upswung Gibus into the air... and he landed on Daren's back. ( no one else could get on ) We were in hysterics.
after that: Gibus: hold on let me get into the position ( lament gesture ) >upswing >Daren goes for a body check on the ship > he flies completely over Daren somehow >more laughing.
and then for revenge, he kicked it's arm. and it broke.
and in rapid succession, I blindly fired the ballista and broke the horn. :V
All in all I wish I could have recorded both the call and the quest. It would have totally been something to keep.

First story:
"I first started off playing MH3U last summer. The first day or so I spent playing it was running around Deserted Isle or whatever it was called when it wasn't involved with any quests. After smacking things around for a while in the part of the map that seems to be a Jaggi nest, I decided to settle down to cook some meat to see why a friend of my group was having so much trouble cooking meat. After managing to burn my first one by getting distracted, I successfully made two rare steaks before the Jaggi started respawning in the area. The spot I picked was coincidentally where the arriving Jaggia liked to sit down and curl up in, so... it made me wish the screenshot function worked for this game.
TL;DR, there was a Jaggia sitting in my fire pit. My phone at the time was a piece of crap with a bad camera. No pictures of it happening; just a doodle."
--------
Second story:
"I usually played with my friends while we were all still on campus for the day. Apparently one of my friends had a derp moment where he forgot you can now launch people in MH4U. While doing a low-rank quest in the Gathering Hall where you fight Dah'ren Mohran for the first time, we (me, friend, and boyfriend) were on the right side of the ship. Normally, since hammers don't have as wide a range for its swings, I ended up missing his arm a lot while trying to attack him. A buddy on my left was probably using a hunting horn at that time, and was situated in a spot where he was able to get more hits in. After a minute or so, Dah'ren moves away, but I was finishing up a combo and had somehow migrated to my friend's left, and with the upswing, I threw him over the widening gap and he lands on Dah'ren. I glanced over at him as he was sitting on my left at our table, and his face was contorted with utter confusion.
"What the--- How the hell did I get up there?!" he asked incredulously as he kept glancing back and forth between me and my boyfriend and back to his screen while mashing his buttons and having a gigglefit. And then he fell off as Dah'ren decided he wanted to sink back into the sand to jump.
---------
Intermission story:
"As the launcher of my group, I've had several instances where friends were jumping off a ledge while attacking a monster on one side while I was at the same level as the monster attacking from the other side. As soon as they hit, they sometimes failed to mount, but they land on me as I'm doing an upswing, so they go flying again for another attack, and occasionally get the mount. Quite a beautiful sight~"
--------
Third story:
"My boyfriend was helping me take down a bunch of Tetsucabra so I could make my first set of G-rank armor. Lost track of how many times we did the quest to hunt two at a time, but I wanted to catch a few for the hell of it. One day, I was kinda getting a little impatient with the hunt because the second Tetsucabra broke out of my shock trap. That being my last one and it was limping away, my boyfriend was setting down another trap in its path after having sliced it up a bit more. My hammer was withdrawn so I wouldn't damage it too much, but I ran over to it and kicked it once. Quest ended."

The funniest thing that happened to me in MH was when we tried hunting a Fatalis in 4U. I was using a hammer, so my first thought was to try to daze it. It had its head low, so I figured it was an opening and I tried to bash it, but I ended up hitting my friend with an upswing and sending him flying right when the Fatalis used its breath attack. His death was practically instantaneous. That hunt earned me the title of 'Teamkiller' among my friends.
