Sailor Sinistra, Senshi of Brooms was beginning to think up a path for herself. It seemed to her that there was so much to learn, maybe there was need for more research-y type personnel in this war. She was not much of a fighter, after all, but she was certainly a damn good student!
She was just not really sure who to talk to, to get involved in being helpful, and actually start learning things that... other people might need to learn, too.
Maybe the library.
Tonight, though, she was doing what she needed to do, as far as she understood it. Patrolling meant finding an area and exploring it, looking for anything that might be on the bad side of things, and make sure they do not hurt anyone innocent. Of course, Sinistra was kind of just hoping her current streak of luck continued and she did not run into anything too serious...
Now that she was thinking about it, though, she was sure she had just jinxed herself.

She'd hesitated, hemmed and hawed and refused to suit up. A couple of weeks back and suddenly she couldn't bring herself to henshin up like she'd been itching to do while in college. What was it about Destiny City that made her hesitate when she had been so sure? Eventually she couldn't stand it any more the yearning was stronger tonight and so, while on her nightly run, Melody had thrown herself some place safe and henshined up for the first time in years. And it was incredible! She felt whole for the first time in a long time and took to running faster then usual to expend some of the energy she could feel thrumming in her veins. Why had she been so hesitant before? No longer could she remember. And now that she was suited up and feeling amazing it was time to get back into what little she'd remembered of her time as a senshi back then. Patroling. She just had no idea she was going to be running in to some one else, almost literally, and stopped herself before there was a bodily connection. Not quite the jinx she was probably expecting. "Oops, hello there."

Sinistra stopped as soon as she saw that the aura she was pretty sure she felt coming toward her was, in fact, almost on top of her. She looked very surprised, but she tried not to let out any sounds of surprise. It tended to be embarrassing when she did that.
And she was pretty over embarrassing herself.
Not that she had much control of it, usually.
"Oh, hello there! You're a senshi, like me!" She knew that was a stupid thing to say, but she had run into a corrupt senshi who she was actually rather good friends with, and also things like knights and even half youma. It was hard to keep track of everything, so it was rather nice to just meet someone that was like her!
She smiled brightly, albeit a little bashful.
"I somehow didn't see you there. How are you doing tonight?"

"I am~" Smiling sweetly, the gentle senshi seemed to hide her hands in the kimono-like sleeves of her fuku. It was nice, she had to admit, running into another senshi on her first night suiting up. She'd admit she hadn't really thought about the possibility of running into a Youma or Negaverse agent until after the fact. That would have probably been the worst way to start back into this. Maybe. "I'm doing quite fine this evening, thank you~ It's been a long time since I felt this complete." Wow that was probably going to get some questions thrown her way. Too late to take it back now. Maybe she could direct the other's attention to something else? Oh! "Silly me, I've not yet introduced myself. I'm known as Sailor Lacrimosa, Senshi of Cherry Blossoms."

"Oh? You've been a senshi for a while? That's fantastic! I'm very new to this whole thing, so I'm doing what I can to learn more and more about what I'm doing. Oh! I'm Sinistra, Senshi of Brooms."
She did a cute curtsey and then straightened up.
Most of her fear about social interactions seemed all but gone when she powered up. It gave her a new sense of self: a new identity. She did not have to be the shy girl in the corner of the classroom, sticking to her work and nothing else. She could be more out going, and have more fun. It was a very strange, but thrilling, realization, and she was running with it.
Until her awkwardness caught up to her, which it always did.
"What did you mean by 'complete'? If it's not rude of me to ask! And may I just say, your costume is beautiful! Oh, it's so lovely, I'm quite jealous!" Not that Sinistra ever felt things like that. Any jealousy she felt was fleeting, as she could still admire the fact that a pretty thing like that existed, even if she did not own it.

"It's very wonderful to meet you, Sinistra. I'll admit though I've been a Senshi for sometime I am not very knowledgeable, but if you have any questions I can try and answer them." She still needed to go over that large text she'd received when they'd crossed back into Destiny City. She may as well be as new as Sinistra in all honesty. Speaking of, the Senshi before her seemed like such a sweetheart, she hoped that being a sailor warrior wouldn't take that from her. This wasn't exactly the easiest lifestyle to be a part of. But it was something she was coming to accept. At the compliment to her fuku, the Senshi of Cherry Blossoms blushed prettily and couldn't stop a small half turn to show it off a bit. She loved the design as well, she'd gotten lucky to have such a wonderful fuku. It certainly fit her well. "Thank you so much, I love your fuku as well. It's really adorable." Senshi fukus came in so many interesting designs! She wondered how they came to be... Would anyone know? Something to figure out if she remembered later. Speaking of remembering, she had just been asked about what she'd meant hadn't she? She supposed she should be polite and answer that... Even if it was a little embarrassing. "It's quite alright to ask. I was the one who said something weird after all." A slightly embarrassed laugh. "Tonight is the first night in years I've powered up, I'd forgotten how it felt to be powered again. It was like a piece of me I didn't realize was missing returned." Another embarrassed laugh. "I probably sound weird, sorry."

Sinistra looked delighted when Lacrimosa turned a bit, and she could look more at the lovely fuku the other girl was graced with. Poor Sinistra often felt very jealous of other fukus, but she tried not to make that seem like a bad thing. She could be positive and complimentary, even if she did wish her own fuku was a little more elegant and lovely. Fashion was a big part of her day to day, as she delighted in seeing all things beautiful, and she felt like her fuku, while nice, was a bit...
Costume-y.
Everyone kept calling her a witch, and she honestly did not feel that was anything like her personality! Was this some sort of cosmic statement about her, though, that she could not deny? It was worrisome, at best.
"Oh, I understand! Did something happen to keep you from powering up? Oh, no, that's a terribly personal thing for me to ask. Uhm! Forgive me, I just meant... well, I'm glad you've powered up tonight, because we ended up meeting! I could keep you company on your patrol, if you'd like, unless you're looking to be alone so you can enjoy your first night powering up..."

"No, not really. Well, it was more like I had too much going on in my life and couldn't handle the stress of being a Senshi so I just stopped transforming. It took me a long time and some serious soul searching to accept this as a part of myself." Her gaze was a little distant but her face held a seriousness she didn't often have. In all honesty this wasn't an easy life to live and she wondered just how many newbies understood that. She had often looked back and wished she'd had more people be honest with her about the difficulties of this double life. As Sinistra stumbled on, Lacrimosa smiled. Her words were sweet, something she didn't doubt the girl was outside of tranformation. The fuku, though cute, didn't do her personality justice at all. "I would love some company and I would never turn down your presence at my side." Another bright smile. "It is always safer to travel in pairs, just on the off chance you could run into something."

White Trickster Rabbit (I might be the worst person ever. Sorry for the slowness ;-; )
She could actually be hurt, or killed, in all this.
"Oh! I'm glad you don't mind my company! I would much rather patrol with someone else than be on my own. I don't think I make a very good senshi, one on one, but I think I can help with a team. I'll try not to be too annoying, of course, or ask you too many questions." She did not want to get too personal, or make the other girl uncomfortable. Her reasons for not powering up were probably very personal, and Sinistra did not want to drag up bad memories. So she tried to think of something more positive to talk about.
"Are you glad you powered up now, though? Did you miss it?"

One could be hurt or killed and it was something she still thought about a lot. Something she prayed she would never find out first hand. And her heart went out to those who had felt that sting of death or injury. "Ask as many questions as you like, I'll do my best to answer." A sweet laugh. "Though I don't have all the answers, so I can't promise I can answer them all." It was nice to talk to someone like this. "I didn't at first," she replied, thinking back on how happy she was to leave it all at the time. "I shoved it all in the back of my mind and focused on going to school, the work and the classes and the friends I had made. I still carried my pen with me though, it had kind of become habit? And then, one day, I had the thought of "what if I could never be Lacrimosa again?" And that sort of just... turned the cog back into motion." Then she smiled, soft and serene and she couldn't help but to place a hand over the decorative broach. "I've never been happier." Lithiasaur no worries. not like i was all that quick getting back to you <3

The life of a senshi was clearly a very complicated one. That was something Sinistra was learning slowly, but surely. Everyone had a different tale to tell, some good, some sad, some just confusing. It was interesting to learn what to expect, but she had a feeling she would never get a real solid idea of what she was getting into.
"Well, I'm glad you're back, though I didn't know you before! As long as you're happy, that's the most important part of it, isn't it? And I think we do have these powers to do something important, though I'm not sure what I'm meant to do just yet. Still! It's really nice to meet someone who has some experience like yours, because it lets me kind of... vicariously... know what it feels like. If that makes sense. I'm sorry, I'm being a bit babbly again, but uhm."
She was always nervous around others, though being a senshi had definitely helped her come out of her shell. She shuffled her feet a bit as she walked, silently telling herself to calm down and not spit out so many words at once.
Sometimes she felt like if she didn't say it all at once, she would chicken out and not say anything. That was how it used to be, after all. Too shy to speak up.

Lithiasaur sinistra stop being so precious. "I don't think many of us know what we're meant to do yet, if it's any consolation." Another smile, this one more comforting as Sinistra started to show signs of nervousness again. She really didn't have anything to worry about. "It does make sense, so don't worry. And I'm glad my experience can help you." Maybe it could help others. "I'm sure you've come a long way, Sinistra. And you'll come a longer way still. I'd like to see how far you will go as a senshi, if that's okay with you."

For someone as shy and prissy as she could be, she never thought she would amount to anything but a book worm. Yes, she got the best grades she could, and she would probably end up in some good, sciency job, but what could would that do, at the end of the day? She would hide in a lab, behind a desk, and continue to be alone.
Being a senshi allowed her to make new friends. Like she was doing now. She hoped.
"Oh, you're so kind. I really appreciate hearing that! I know you can tell but, I'm... I'm a little nervous and unsure of myself, so I don't know if I'm... doing things quite right. If you'd help me, I'd love to do as best I can to be a senshi! I've already gotten a little training, from some friends, and the more I learn, the better I'll get!"
She was excited now, and her words came out faster, with her delight, though she caught herself and blushed sheepishly.

Lithiasaur she's so adorable and mel just wants to protect her from the big bad war going on. "Well, I can't guarantee I'm the best person to help but I would really love to try. And with the the help of your friends it seems like you're on the right path to being the best senshi you can be." It was good to have friends, especially in this war. And it really did seem as if it might be a war going on out there. She planned to find some one she could confirm that with. Some how. Shame she didn't seem to have any of the senshi she'd run into years ago saved in her phone. Ancient phone. Wonder if she could get that upgraded some how while she was at it. "Don't worry too much about finding your place or purpose yet. One day it will come to you, probably when you're ready to face everything you'd once been afraid of." A gentle hand on the girl's shoulder. "I should add you to my phone, would that be alright? You can call me whenever you need me, or even just to talk about anything that might be bothering you." Sinistra was so sweet and new, she had this urge to protect her, try and make her prepared for anything that could come her way.

White Trickster Rabbit Ahahah, Sinistra needs it! She's a bit of a derp sometimes. >>
It was almost easy to make friends now, which was a profound change for the quiet, mousy book worm who spent most of her school years alone in a corner. Even now, when she powered down, she tended to keep to herself. Polite and helpful, of course, but not particularly out going.
When she powered up, though, something changed. And she was able to open up, and talk to people. Team up with them, learn from them, and sometimes even teach them. It was profound!
In a simple way.
"Oh, yes, of course! I'll add you to mine, as well, and then we can meet up again! If you'd like to, of course. I would never impose on you, if you were busy. Honestly, I am just enjoying this conversation, and I would love to learn more from you!"
She eagerly took out her phone, nearly dropping it in her excitement.
