Name: Wyome Race: Alkidike/Leaf Gender: Female 3 Base Traits: Soft spoken, Adaptable, Dependable Personality: +/- Soft spoken/Submissive: Although she isn't really shy, she never raises her voice or calls attention to herself. She's more of a listener than a speaker. Often times, she finds herself overlooked... well, at least her opinion. She sticks out like a sore thumb otherwise. Wyome is far from argumentative and would rather go with someone else's idea than fight for her own.
+ Adaptable: With not always speaking up for her plans, she's used to adjusting herself to each situation. She's always enjoyed trying to think out of the box (though she isn't always the brightest bulb) and she tries her hardest to overcome any obstacles in her way.
+ Dependable: Once someone has gained her loyalty, there's nothing she won't do for them. To earn someone's trust is a great honor, especially when there are people out there that would use it to their advantage.
- Hoarder: This is a bad habit picked up by her mother, Ekua. She's like a crow when she finds something shiny. It's best to keep her out of the marketplaces, otherwise she may spend her money on something shiny, but worthless.
Description: Hair: Never cuts it, it has become long with a slight wave. You can still see the lighter hues from when she was younger. [x] She'll eventually learn that it's not really the best idea to have hair this long in battle and will tie it up. ([for later]) Body type: Pear, with decently sized hips. Skin: Between Golden Medium and Warm Tan with warm (darker than usual) green tones in the limbs and turquoise markings. Crystals: Small and scattered across her the bridge of her nose, along her cheek bones and scattered along her torso Eyebrows: Alkidike, same color as her roots Eyes: Warm Green and Alkidike Other: Antennae!
Clothing: I'm very flexible with her clothing colors and whatnot, but I'd like to incorporate Alkidike clothing colors in her outfit even though she's been raised primarily by leaf earthlings. (Maybe Ekua brought some of Ije's clothing with her and it fits Wyome? 8D) Halter top: Roughly like this in shape, though I'd rather more earthy tones and the chiffon bits to be fairly translucent. It should also cut to her ribs or so her crystals show ([this length, roughly]). Overall, it looks like a bra with the chiffon attachment. Shorts: About mid-thigh length with two crossing belts. The one that lays parallel to the waist line should have a small train attached to it, similar color to the chiffon part of her shirt. Shoes: Simple sandles.
Accessories: A gold necklace from her mother, Ekua. It has a little bit of her mothers: the bright blue feathers that decorated Ife's spear and a geode slice that Ekua found in her travelling.
History: Long before Wyome was a twinkle in her mother's eyes, no one would have expected Ife and Ekua to have crossed paths, let alone fall in love and produce a little girl. Ife, a Alkidike Warrior came across the Leaf Treasure Hunter on the outskirts of her village. With little effort, Ekua was scared off and Ife went on her merry way, figuring she didn't have to report this trespasser to her sisters. Ekua was stubborn though, wanting to see what rarities were in that village. A little spear wasn't going to scare her off that easily. And so she returned the next week, much to Ife's chagrin. This continued for a few months, slowly transitioning from threats of impalement to chatting about the rain storm they had the previous night. Ekua cared less and less about the treasures that Ife was protecting and more for the conversations she had with the warrior. And, slowly but surely, a relationship bloomed. Ife never explained to her sisters how she came across her lover, only mentioning coming across her. It would have been frowned upon to know that she kept the threat of a trespasser to herself. But life was quiet, Ekua stayed with Ife, even though there were a few disapproving glares. It had to be just a phase for Ife, right? A year had passed since they decided to be together, but Ekua was getting antsy. She yearned to travel again, but she didn't want to leave Ife. So Ife took it upon herself to pack their bags so Ekua could travel and stay with her. They travelled all over Tendaji, Ekua collecting treasures to adorn her love. Their relationship was constantly in question, and being away from her sisters wore on Ije's heart, even if she was with her love. The leaf woman decided it was time to go back to Jauhar, deciding she couldn't be selfish any more. Life back in the village was not as it was before. Ije was not welcomed with open arms, having abandoned her sisters for this treasure hunter. Maybe it was stress induced, or maybe it was from truly wanting a child (Ekua was never sure), but Ije decided that they needed one. So they went to Aisha, pleading for a child with their hands clasped tightly. No matter the reason behind it, Aisha heard their plea and granted them a single lotus.
With Wyome's arrival, the disapproving looks grew in numbers. Although the relationship was approved by Aisha, they still did not fully trust their sister and her family. Nonetheless, Wyome was a happy child, cherishing her time with her mothers. The fragile happiness couldn't last forever though. Ije was asked by her sisters to go on a hunting trip and, wanting to work her way into their good favors, eagerly agreed. She never made it home. They said it was an accident, that there was no body to bring back, just her spear. Ekua wasn't sure if she believed them. She couldn't stand to stay there any longer, so she took Wyome and their bags, fleeing from the knowledge that her love was dead. Wyome was too young to understand what had happened. They settled in Yera, Tale, close to Ekua's family home so she could resume treasure hunting. Even with Wyome, she wandered, leaving the child with her cousins. They generally accepted her, but Wyome was used to being pushed to the side from living in Ije's village. The odd looks were common place now and she was content enough to just play by herself rather than explain what she was to the other children. She was lonely, but she was used to the quiet. One prentice stayed close to her, even if Wyome had distanced herself as a youngling. Nootau was her best friend and when he began to follow the path of a Shaman, she decided that she would as well. He never talked her into it, this was one plan that she had fully decided on her own. Now, he's her mentor and greatest support in her life.
Other: - Wyome does believe that Ije was murdered from her few memories and what her mother had told her. She knows that people do horrible things, but you don't hold the negative feelings in. She channels any negativity into her spells, helping her to cast them away.
- Wyome had a pet spitorog as a child, but it has sadly passed away. She's hoping to find a new one (though nothing could replace Chiav). Her second one will be named Chiav II, sadly.
- I would really like someone to possibly quest Nootau (where they could either start prentice or Spirit Worker, completely up to the other person.
Family: Ekua: Leaf tribe mother. A tricky treasure hunter who is currently trying to mend her broken heart by travelling. Wyome loves her dearly and misses her, but understands why she isn't around. Ije: Alkidike mother, deceased. Loving, from what little Wyome remembers. Chiav: Spitorog familiar, deceased. Wyome misses him dearly, it feels like she's missing her shadow with him gone. Nootau: Mentor and best friend. He inspired her to become a shaman like he wants to. He's always a step ahead, but she doesn't mind.

:] What is Wyome's relationship with her mother Ekua? Are they really close now that it's just the two of them? How did the neighboring earthlings take to their newest addition to the village and her hybrid daughter? Does Wyome feel anything negative towards her mother for leaving her behind and being pushed to the side while she treasure hunts?

She's not very close to her mother, but that's only because of the distance that she put between them in her travels. When she does return, there's hugs and a small gift/story exhange, but she's not overly close. Ekua loves her, and Wyome loves her in return, but it's far from the relationship it could have been if Ije was alive. In a perfect world, they would have left the Alkidike village, wanting their daughter to be in a better environment. They probably would have settled on the Jauhar/Tale border and possibly would have had another child. At least, that was the dream before Ije's untimely death. Wyome is closer to her mother's family, but even then, she has a stronger bond with Nootau than any of her blood. She isn't sure if she should feel that way, or if it's wrong, but it's life to her.
The earthlings took better to her than the Alkidikes did. Many of the tribe knew Ekua from childhood, seeing how close they were to her family home. So knowing Ekua was a bit odd, so her coming back with a hybrid wasn't that shocking, I suppose? I'm not sure if "odd" is the correct word. Like, she had a hardcore case of wanderlust and adventure while everyone else was more concerned about their families and survival. Think Belle in Beauty and the Beast and her perception by the townfolk "No denying she's a funny girl that Belle" or "Look there she goes that girl is so peculiar / I wonder if she's feeling well"
She does feel a bit sour over her mother constantly leaving her behind, but she feels as though it's a coping mechanism or a distraction from losing her lover. She's very sympathetic (or empathetic?) in that respect. Much like the negative thoughts towards Ije's murder though, she tends to channel that elsewhere as to not linger on it. Not wanting to linger primarily stems from her thinking that Ekua has lingering feelings over Ije's death and that's lead to the diminished attention.
