Hobbies:
Paleontology - One of Ranae's passions in life is well, ancient life. She has always been fascinated by fossils and dinosaurs and the odd beasties that came before the rise of modern fauna. New discoveries in her chosen field of study can send her into fits of glee or rage, depending. Teal Deer: dinosaurs are awesome and Ranae wants to spend her life learning everything she can about them. And if she's really lucky, a good museum will hire her after school and she can spend the rest of her life in academic bliss.

Cooking - As a strict vegetarian bordering on vegan (damn you and your tastiness, mozzarella!), Ranae has had to learn to cook her own meals out of self defense. However, out of that necessity has come a genuine enjoyment. Ranae devours (no pun intended) the Food Network and loves to create her own versions of various showcased dishes. She'll attend whatever local cooking classes or workshops she can and tends to haunt the farmer's market whenever it's open.

Dancing - Ranae's foodie fueled, academic lifestyle could, in some cases mean a tendency to pudginess. However, she has a surefire way to keep in shape that's fun and gets her out. It also helps her pay for school so shut up! Ranae loves dancing. All dancing. She will take ballroom courses, tap, hip hop, anything. She even works as a pole dancer and it is the most fun ever! And hella good exercise to boot. She's even taught a beginner's class in pole dancing.

Virtues:
Ardent - Ranae is extremely passionate about the things she's interested in. She embraces everything in her life with the same fiery eagerness that characterize people like Steve Irwin. And it is really hard to begrudge her that enthusiasm because it is so plainly obvious that she loves what she's doing. It's also made her rather popular among some of her more activist friends. Who needs a troupe of protestors or speakers when you have Ranae on your side?

Diligent - Besides being mind-bogglingly enthusiastic, Ranae is also someone who will give you 1000% in whatever you ask of her. She has a work ethic that would send most managerial types to their knees in thanks to whatever god sent Ranae to them. She is utterly scupulous about giving her all whether it is school work or her dancing job.

Good-Natured - Very little ruffles or cracks Ranae's pleasant, kind-hearted veneer. And it's not an act. She really is just that amiable. She sees no reason why she shouldn't be nice to folks. Besides, she enjoys blowing sunshine up peoples' proverbial asses. It's, well... nice to be nice! In Ranae's world everyone is a friend in fact or potentia.

Flaws:
Social Derp - For all of her friendliness and hardcore work ethics, Ranae is a damned idiot when it comes to social mores and cues. She lives in such an open and embracing state herself that it never occurs to her that another person can't or won't see things in the same light. Like when the local Mommy Coffee Clatch got their granny panties in a bunch because she was innocently teaching their toddlers some very basic pole dancing. Don't get so angry, ladies! It's only exercise for heaven's sake!

Opinionated - Do you have opinions? Well, Ranae has OPINIONS and she will not sway from them no matter how well-reasoned your argument. While she's not entirely hidebound, she does have a set of thoughts that are so ingrained that it would take several acts of more than one god to alter them. Have fun!

Out of Touch - As far as Ranae is concerned, older things are the best. Technology might be great and all, but frankly, she thinks it causes more problems than it can solve. However, this is not to say that she is opposed to all technology. Certainly the advances in medicine are wonderful and a computer beats out a micro-fiche hands down when it comes to research. But for herself, she prefers to go techless. Her phone is a landline, her computer middling and she refuses to be one of those cell phone carrying, duck faced monkies. She has a pre-paid TRACfone that is strictly emergency only and it mostly stays in her glove compartment. So keep those idiotic gadgets away from her! As a result of this mindset, Ranae is so ridiculously difficult to get in touch with that it prompts at least one (if not more) panicky, screaming lecture a week aimed in her direction. She fails to see how her lack of a cell phone or sporadic emails constitute a problem. She has an answering machine at home, gaiz. Just leave her a message and she'll get back to you when she can.


PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION - RefRefRefRef

Eyes: Wide set with a slight upwards slant at the outer corners and fringed with thick black lashes. Dual tone purple-ish and teal (see ref for exact shades)

Hair: Dark blue-black hair with a single ice blue streak, length is just past her butt and she always has a small weight tied into one strand of hair. See Ref for weight style/color

Face: Extremely pale complexion. Average ears with the faintest hint of a point to them, slightly upturned nose. Face is heart shaped with a narrow chin. Please note, she will always wear a soft silvery-lilac shade of lip color. She also has a labret piercing.

Body: 5'8", slender build. She does have a tattoo around her belly button (see ref for style/color)

Clothes: Since she's a student and has a job that doesn't worry much about dress codes, Ranae tends to be casual and comfortable styles. The only absolutes in her wardrobe are her necklace (ref), hair weight (ref) and she will always have her fingernails painted the same color as the streak in her hair. Hi, DaisyMilk!

This profile looks pretty good, but I have a few questions! I am having a little trouble reading Neo-Luddite as a flaw; definitely I can see how it could be frustrating to be friends with someone who has such inclinations, but I feel like Neo-Luddite is more of a philosophy she practices than a flaw. If possible, could I bug you for some more information on how you read this is a personality flaw (or possibly you could expand on her philosophies to give her a revised flaw—is she 'old fashioned' and holds fast to archaic beliefs that make her difficult to get along with/others can't understand her, for example?) Either way, I think that is my only concern with the profile—everything else looks great to me!

Her Knight magic could definitely heal more moderate injuries (though healing severe injuries would need to be done in moderation; while magic can increase the speed of healing, we don't usually allow magic that would allow to heal really severe/life-threatening injuries fully; usually magic is only allowed to be strong enough to heal them some and ensure that they aren't knocking on death's door!)
