To be honest bumping into Chaonis had been kind of the last thing that Athene had been expecting when he'd set out to start his patrol for the evening and he'd been even more surprised when it turned out that the Eternal Senshi of Danger was looking for him specifically since it had been a while since their paths had crossed.

Athene had kind assumed that Chaonis wanted to talk to him about team stuff, after all like Ida and Tsui and Liryn, Chaonis was also part of the PSSG - a valued member of their small team.

Instead it had turned out that Chaonis had found out about Painite landing him in the hospital back in February, which had somehow turned into the older Eternal deciding to drag him out for training.

Athene wasn't sure who had told Chaonis, although the cause of his hospital visit hadn't been any real secret, at least not amongst the team, a part of him assumed that it had probably been Ida though - after all his team mate and friend lived with him.

They had ended up in the park, him, Chaonis and Liryn (who had decided to come along too) three, although the small tabby bobtail's attention seemed mostly taken with Chaonis' phone which he had decided to and was in the process of upgrading.

Of the four Eternal senshi that made up the PSSG, Chaonis was probably the one that Liryn knew least well so when the Eternal Senshi had turned up, there was no way that Liryn was going to head home and just leave the two of them to it.

And besides perhaps he could find out more about the Painite behind the P.

He knew she was a General and that Athene had specifically told him to stay away from her in a flat, serious voice that wasn't like him at all.

And he knew that she had hurt Athene and Ida and for that alone that put her up there on his 'do not like' list.

There seemed to be nothing about her in the Negaverse database though and he had checked.

He had another reason for tagging along however, apart from curiosity about the fourth member of the PSSG and about the Negaverse General that the P stood for and that was because of Chaonis' phone - which was the old version and thus outdated.

So he was upgrading it - because the upgrade that Ash and ********* had come up with was - to his opinion - sooo much better.

"It's okay" Athene said quietly, after it wasn't as if anyone could have guessed that Painite was going to just turn up out of nowhere like that - well okay perhaps not literally out of nowhere although it had certainly felt like that at the time.

"And I'm doing okay - much better thank you - I've been out of hospital for a bit." A wry note slipped into his quiet voice as he admitted "It'd be nice if I can keep it that way, because I'm running out of excuses to tell my cousin." His quiet voice turned serious "And she's not involved - not powered."

And he was determined to keep it that way - to keep Saffy out of this particular side of his life. It a large reason why he had been happy to move in with Orah when she had mentioned that she had decided to move out and was thinking of looking for a room mate - well that and Liryn's habit of sneaking into her 'no pets allowed' apartment block and by extension extended to her apartment...

However even though he no longer lived with his cousin, hiding the two hospital trips from her had been something of an impossible ask - particularly given the fact that said two trips had been in as many months.

He looked up at the taller eternal "How about you, how have things been with you?" After all prior to today it had been a bit of a while since he'd seen Chaonis.

"I'm updating your phone" Liryn looked up from where he had been in the process of prying off the back of the phone that Chaonis had given him "Ash and ********* came up with an upgraded version which is so much better than this version" he continued as he managed to get the back of the phone off, it helping that he had done a few of these prior to getting his paws on Chaonis' phone.

He moved to prise off the back of the phone that he had produced via back flip prior to starting before turning his attention back to Chaonis' soon to be former phone as he looked for the part that Ash had shown him when they had been up on Destiny Tower on the night of the Black Watch founding meeting. His voice cheerful but a little distracted as he added "Your contacts will be fine - whatever's in this phone will copy over to the new one."

Perhaps it was because his attention was mainly, at least for the moment, focused on Chaonis' phone. Perhaps it was because he was finally properly meeting the fourth senshi member of the PSSG. Either way it slipped his mind that perhaps Chaonis might not have a clue who the mentioned Ash or ********* were.

Cambria had left the library and after she was far enough away, she promptly had powered up into Lysithea. She wanted to try and find some sort of youma that maybe she could experiment on…if she could find away to perhaps save the youma, clearly that meant she could save Merlinite. It would be a win/win.

It didn’t take too long for her to get distracted, however…there were voices and the feeling of two strong ordered auras, as well as a third…a cat, perhaps?

She made her way closer, trying to eavesdrop…and the things she heard…well, clearly her bells and whistles went off when she heard mention of Painite, and when she heard the same voice mention that his girlfriend was one of the Dark Mirrors? Well…Well…

Damn. That made her feel about a thousand times better about her massive crush on the half youma…

Lysithea stepped closer to the little group. “Excuse me…did you mention…uh. Painite? She is a crazy b***h…and you’re…” She looked at the two senshi, unsure of who had spoken. “One of you is dating a Dark Mirror…? I didn’t even know that was allowed...”

Her eyes slid downwards and landed on Liryn. “Oh my god…you’re an adorable Guardian Cat…”

…In hindsight, maybe jumping out like this hadn’t been the best idea…but if she could get more information on Painite…and if she had found someone who was sympathetic to chaos…well, maybe she had found people who could help her out…

After all, hadn’t Lucasta said that senshi were meant to do things in groups? She was just following advice, no big deal, right?

"With dad, huh? That makes sense. Apparently they had a whole thing where she didn't like him for a while, but then they kind of stopped hating each other. I don't know, I didn't really ask about it to be honest. He's pretty cool about the whole thing, though."

Camelot was definitely a supporter of their relationship, though he did constantly issue warnings of caution when it came to Chaos itself. He did not, however, treat Navi like she was a villain just because she was on the Dark Mirror side, and he trusted her as a person more than as a soldier in a court. The Royal Knight had done everything he could to help when she was kidnapped, after all, and Chaonis owed him a lot for that.

"That's cool of you to be helping him out. I bet it's not easy to purify for anyone, but as long as we White Moon folks can have their backs, it'll help. I remember hearing about that whole thing, too, with the Wasp guy. Glad he's doing okay."

Chaonis found he did not mind actually having a conversation with someone. It reminded him that he had distanced himself a bit from his friends, and he actually would not mind having more, and being closer to people. Now that he was not a total jerk all the time, at any rate, and decided that he did like other people being around. He was only a lone wolf before because he hated responsibility, but now that he was older and more experienced, he valued the friends he had.

He just needed to get better at reaching out.

Joining the others as they looked toward the new arrival, Chaonis nodded his head in agreement. It seemed the 'Painite is a crazy person' thing was still a common ground to be found between strangers. Anyone who managed to survive her on a bad day was lucky, and he was glad to meet them if only so he could keep an eye out for them. Offer his help. Painite had a habit of holding grudges, after all.

He was surprised to hear she had picked up on his admission before, looking vexed.

"Uh. Don't spread that dark mirror thing around, alright? That was sort of between two team members, and not for the general public. If I hear from someone I did not tell they know about us, I'm going to come find you to thank for it, got it?" The threat was surprisingly gentle, though he probably meant it. "How do you know Painite? I assume she tried to kill you, too, eh?"
