Terminologies

While many naming conventions are common, and most of what is spoken is now in "English" Common (Common being "language of the Soquili/Familiars") terminologies, the kingdom has a heavy Root based in "Gaelic" Common.

Gaelic dictionary
Pronounciation guide
Aos Sí (ees shee) "People of the Mounds". Name of both the Herd and the Lands. Sometimes the territory is also called Sìtheanach (Fairy Mounds)

Eachan (Ache-in) "The Small" Term for ALL members with the ability to shrink due to having flutter wings and tend to stay that way most of their life. (those who spend most of their time full sized are "Eachan Fada" (see below))

Eachan Tlamaich (Ache-in d-llahm-aiech) "Small Blend" Flutterwinged hybrids that are born fullsize and must birth their offspring in the Fada Tir. They may have Fada siblings or at least one Fada parent, or, even if they look purely flutter now, have a distant flutter ancestor that forces the entry into the Fada tir when the mother nears the end of her pregancy.

Sidhe (shee) Pureblooded Flutters with absolutely No Other Breed in their known ancestry. They are often born in their shrunken state, raised in it, and live their entire lives this way. CAN have mutations however.

Fada (fah-duh) "the Tall" -- Non-Flutters who do not have the ability to shrink: members of the herd who cannot shrink tend to be raised as Ridir. Mothers who mate with those who are Fada, or families have Fada blood in their background, will grow to fullsize to have their baskets and, if they have any Fada children, raise them. The Fada offspring are not kicked out, but do tend to live on the outskirts and thus wander further away from the valley, as it can get lonely when all your friends and most, if not all, of your family are smaller than your head.

Eachan Fada (Ache-in fah-duh) Flutters who spend most of their life full sized; Typically Flutters from their local allies or other herds, though sometimes flutter Fada Ridir or members of the Aos Si who have left to live with unknown Fada.

Eachan tir (Ache-in Teer) "Small Land" -- The world looks different when small, and the Eachan tir is the cultural territory and setting of those who are living when shrunken. Here, hallow trees, broken pots, woven reeds crafted lovingly by their familiar allies and clawed flutters create a wondrous fairlyand full of shelters, music, and culture, a mishmash of found materials, pebbles, rocks, bark, living and dead plants alike create a bit of a fairy world, mostly hidden away and camouflaged from those who don't know how to look for it.

Fada tir (fah-duh teer) "Tall Land" -- In the tall lands, the territory looks wild and untamed, tree roots gnarled over boulders, trees leaving mottled light for the shrubbery and tangled brambles, meadow grasses growing tall, the land misty and scented sweetly of flowers. The territory seems lonely, and somewhat inhospitable despite its beauty to those unfamiliar to it... Anyone passing by might completely overlook the world in the canopy and roots of the trees and hidden under the rocks, deep within the brambles.

Ridir (ree-tshir) Knights, guards, and protectors. Ridir exist both in the World of the Eachan tir and in the Fada tir, protecting from enemies large and small.

Sian Marcach ()] Wind Riders -- Pretty much anyone who rides Birds professionally OR is a bird that's profession is flight.. For example a Sian Marcach Ridir is a knight that rides on the back of a birds for aeral combat, scouting, etc while a Sian Marcach teasair Is a Messenger who travels by bird, and a Sian Marcach giùlain is a bird who rents their services as a steed or is hired for transporting cargo. Sian Marcach Ridir are typically either birds trained in combat as knights OR Mice that ride Sian Marcach giùlain or Avian Sian Marcach Ridir. Larger birds can transport larger knights, and may specialize. Many noble or wealthy families of smaller familiars and flutters have hired Condors, hawks, and eagles as private transportation.

Luath-Chasach Marcach ()] Fleet footed Riders - These are specifically Teasair (messengers) and Ridir (knights/guards/warriors) that ride Rabbit, Ferret, Fox, River Otter and Smaller Cat Familiars through the dense forests

Luath-Chasach () Fleet Footed - Rabbit, Ferret, Fox, River Otter and Smaller Cat Familiar that act as Teasair (messengers), Ridir (knights), or rent their services as giùlain (transport/Steed), using their speed to their advantage. In small communities, Mice and Squirrels can also be Luath-Chasach Teasair or Ridir.

Neighboring Allied Kingdoms

These herds fill the neighboring valleys and act as guards and companions to the Aos Si and can sometimes be found within the territory. MOST are Fada, but some might be capable of being Eachan (but live their lives MOSTLY as Fada)

Brughadair (bru-yd-air)
Descended from Fada children of the Aos Si that moved into the neighboring valley, the Brughadair (or "Elves") are a group of mostly Non-Flutters (though some flutters have been born to the group and usually live themselves full sized, shrinking only to fly or visit the Aos Si establishments) with a similar garb who live among the trees and shelter in caves and, on rare occasions, Pawed/clawed pony built dwellings. Their partnership with familiars isn't nearly as strong as their Aos Si ancestors. While they are good allies and will often send members of their group to their ancestral home, whom they hold with great respect, familiars are often seen as 'less' than soquili, and are often treated as servants or even pets rather than co-workers and friends, with the crafting familiars seen as "outsiders" that they trade with and 'different' than the ones that live with them directly. This clash will often cause frustration when an Eachan Brughadair visits Aos Si Establishments or houses and talk down to familiars who are helping act as host.

Hunting Non-spirit touched game for Sport and hosting parades is a common past time among the Brughadair, and the majority tends to look down on anyone who isn't at least descended from a Flutter in general, so at least the Familiars are not alone. They find Pixies to be adorable and charming and will often be respectful of Fullblooded and "classical"* Unicorns, and they, plus any familiar that is born with Fairy-like (antenna, Insect wings, Wispy frills) physical traits, are the exceptions to their rule of Flutter-descent superiority.

Clothing, language, and general culture however is otherwise similar (only with found items tending to be their 'proper' size against them if used as accessories rather than being Massive against them), and their leaders are a "Seelie" King and an "unseelie" Queen. They live in the valley to the East.

* Classical Unicorn: Soft fluffy Ears (Mutant Custom or Cerynei), dainty cloven hooves (Mutant Custom, Cerynei, or Kirin), and lionine tail (custom, templated unicorn, or templated original kirin)

Mion-Shrad (My-on-Hrad)
A group of Pixies (as well as other Pixie-Usdia mixes and Fada Aos Si who are not comfortable with the treatment of Familiars by their 'Elven' cousins) that live to the West of the Aos Si, and regularly trade with the Brughadair and the Aos Si. A cheerful, playful folk who spend most of the year out and about living off the land, though also harvesting treats for later and trading for goods, but during the winter live in ancient mound dwellings with rounded holes crafted with tree roots and large trees and boulders creating the basic form that had been crafted for their ancestors by the Aos Si and the Brughadair, using them as warm shelters during cold winter nights, though they do have a habit of foraging and playing in the snow. They delight in socializing with their Aos Si neighbors, and will often hire themselves out as steeds. Their valley is especially rich with glowing rocks and gemstones that, while far from unheard of in the rest of the kawani lands (as they are often used for accessories), isn't nearly as rich in it, making it their primary trading good as it is sought after by jewelers, accessory makers, and to create lanterns that glow without fire or fireflies.

Generally friendly, but also shy of strangers -- they will hide and often play harmless little tricks on them to test their temperament before revealing themselves. Once you have proven yourself a friend, they are often the most boisterous group you could encounter, often merrily singing songs and dancing about and telling stories.

To them, familiars that aren't bonded specifically to them are sort of their own group who just happens to live in the same territory, and are treated with the same sort of cautiousness until proven to be friendly, and then treated with the same friendly behavior.

Culture

Land of the Eachan

TL;DR Version (And mostly what you need to know): ITTY BITTY TINY SHRUNKEN FLUTTERS AND SHRINKABLE FLUTTERMIXES LIVE IN ITTY BITTY SETTLEMENTS BUILT BY SQUIRRELS, MICE, BIRDS ETC AND HAVE A KINGDOM OF SORTS HIDDEN THROUGHOUT THE VALLEY LIKE A FAIRIES. IT IS ADORABLE AND FULL OF FOUND ITEM BASED AND ARTFUL SQUIRREL AND MOUSE MADE DWELLINGS AND TINY FAMILIARS LIVE ALONG SIDE THEM AS EQUALS BUT MOSTLY HIDDEN FROM THE EYES OF OUTSIDERS CAUSE ITS SO SMALL AND THE HEAVIER POPULATED AREAS TEND TO BE PROTECTED.

However, to outsiders who are in their full sized forms, unaware of the existence of the culture there, it's only the occasional flutter-mix or non-flutter in a wild looking rocky land filled with fireflies, heavily forested an full of brambles. Though the tiny flutters are not too difficult to spot for those who are paying enough attention or are patient enough to sit and wait for them to come out of hiding.

Kingdom

The courts are shared equally from the central "Castle" of the valley, built in the largest hallow tree. Many noble families live in the "Daughters" of the Great Tree, built around them. The Higher court is not as hidden, much more open about its appearances with twisted vines to create walkways, crafted carefully over centuries by squirrels and birds and decorated by mice. This location has the highest population of Fada Ridir AND Eachan Ridir, and is protected from non-flutters and unknown Fada.

Neither court has 100% good or 100% evil: those of light could still cause harm just as those of shadow can still do good.

Court of Light: "The Seelie court". Sun and Moon themed accessories, children are named after stars. The King is dubbed King Grian and the Queen is Queen Solas na Gealaich . Generally represents civilization and the ethereal. They and those who closely follow them in the noble courts dress heavily in silks, fine fur linings, and artistically rendered golds and silvers and gemstones. Almost everything is processed in someway, such as woven fabrics or forged metals. Is primarily involved in Balls and Spring and Summer festivals/Ceremonies. Patron Royalty of Science and Arts.

King Grian is a Cisgendered Mare (biological sex matches gender identity), while Queen Solas na Gealaich is a DMAB (Designated Male at Birth) Mare, and their birthnames were both replaced completely by their titles.

Court of Shadows: "The UnSeelie Court". Themes are earth and animals: King of the Wild Hunt And Queen of the Brambled Forest. These Flutter rulers are wild and fierce, and unlike the court of light are hybrid Eachan rather than pureblooded Sidhe. They and those who closely follow them in the noble courts dress heavily in feathers, skins and hides, bark, thorny vines rather than Worked metal, preferring their accessories made out of dried vines and raw materials in the same level of complexity the court of light rather than processed goods. Is Primarily in charge of Large Hunts and Fall and Winter Festivals/ceremonies. Patron Royalty of Life (Birth/Planting) and Death (funerals/harvest) and may visit when they catch wind of such event's within the kingdom in disguise.

The Current King of the Wild Hunt is a Cisgendered Flutter hippocerynei mixed Stallion named Adair and the Queen of the Brambled Forest is a Wood Flutter'Suti Cisgendered mare named Callee.

(note: The Kings and Queens of both the Court of Light and Court of Shadows are to be owned by Mindsend, but don't currently exist and are rarely seen by commoners, so are more NPC's currently than anything else.)

Council of Twilight: Some members of Nobility find themselves holding balance between the light and the dark, and will often pay equal tribute to both courts, and dress equally wild and civilized. The Council of Twilight Funds the healers, farmers, and craftsmen.

Most citizens of the Kingdoms intermingle and exist and one kingdom, though sometimes individuals, even in families, may pay closer tribute to one court than the other, while other may hold them in equal esteem, the kingdom not actually broken up in any way, despite the fact they consider it "two" kingdoms.

A "Sheltered" life

Rabbit Warrens carefully shored up with Mouse carved wood holding up the walls and spiraling pebble floors with clear or amber colored natural resin cured hard into a smooth, water proof surface, the entrance ways protected with an awning made out of a chipped pottery plate buried into the earth and held up with twisty little vines that grow over the area. A broken Lantern with its front 'door' opened and buried partially in the ground, a tree growing partially into it as an entrance way to the inner hallow of the tree, its glittering colored glass lit up from the inside with fireflies, and pieces of glass spotted in holes of the once living tree. Woven baskets create small private nests in the branches of the trees, festooned with colorful pieces of broken pottery and colored glass. Woven brambles with flowering vines over the layered leaves for waterproofing, creating a dry dome for groups to rest under and enjoy the tiny little squirrel made fire within, hiding from the wet and cold while enjoying high spirits and good company.

While much of it is hidden or easily overlooked by larger soquili, the land of the Aos Si is an odd mix of finely crafted Squirrel, Mouse, bird, and their clawed and pawed flutter members craftmanship, found items, and the wealth of the wood around it. The few Kawani who had spotted some of the work of those who had come from the Aos Si and had moved out into the world beyond often believe that it belongs to tiny human beings. In reality, the flutters and familiars of the Aos Si are often the source.

Beds and couches are common here, usually shallow woven nests lined with furs and fabrics and cushions, or even sometimes carved out of wood and vines. Often times it is both, the nest placed on top or within a strong decorative wooden frames. Lanterns are common, often lit with a small oil fed flame, fireflies, and, on some occasions, simply crafted out of glowing stones that are common in the Kawani lands.
types of shelter

Private Property: These are often small shelters only able to fit a few ponies or familiars at a time, plus store enough food for them in the winter, though some are larger depending on their location and the family. Wealthy and/or old and/or industrious families might have larger homes simply because they can either afford it, have owned it long enough that it has grown, or continuously add to it. These belong to single families of Familiars and/or Flutters.

Stableyard: Usually woven within brambles into a dome shape, Stableyards are large areas with a hole on the top with leaves and leathers used to make them water and wind resistant, usually built right up to an earthen mound dwelling used to store food, and a tunnel made to another, smaller dome with a latrine. The entire shelter has vineed flowers coaxed to grow over it to thicken the protection and armature of the dwelling. Come late fall, early Winter, Stableyards become shelters to Rogue flutters and familiars who couldn't afford shelter in an inn, rent a private dwelling, or find a family willing to house them. Food and drink tends to be basic goods, though if you wish to take your portions, or any food you brought yourself, and have it prepared in the central bondfire you can. Privacy is impossible in this group setting, instead being more a case of "if you see something private look away", but when you live your life tiny up in the mountains, privacy is less important than food, warmth, and company, and these free shelters are vital hubs of community. Some who need more privacy either bring or rent screens to create a bit of a block from others, but since you can simply mark off an area with a circle of stones and it's considered rude to stare at people when they're in 'their' area

Names and Naming Ceremonies
Foals do not have an official name until their canon first birthday, often being called a variety of nicknames or the name a parent hopes will stick. Once they reach their first birthday, not only do the parents understand their child's personality better, but the child is old enough to consent to the name given to them and can choose their favorite name out of what is offered or go by an adaptation of the pet name they had gone by before then. For example, a child often called "Honey" might end up being named Mitsu (honey).

Once they reach adulthood, a second Naming Ceremony takes place on their third birthday, and then they can opt to change their name, or take on a second, official name.

Sometimes, a member of the Aos Si might choose to add another official name in an official ceremony as part of a lifemating ceremony, often adding their mates name or family name to the middle of theirs.

Additionally, titles can often be added on as well for feats, skills, and abilities.

Because of this, as many members of the kingdom are polyamorous, they can often end up with incredibly long names. However their Foal Name and Adult Name are the only ones considered their "True" name and are what they are referred to on a regular basis. Announcers for royal and noble events tend to be Ravens and Crows, due to their more innate ability to recognize faces and remember names, due to the fact that many members of the upper class tend to have many names and titles, so announcing them can be a lengthy process if the noble in question insists on having the whole thing spoken rather than just a preferred amount.

Gender

While it does depend on the individual families (thus resulting in clashes sometimes from families who originated outside of the lands and thus disagree with tradition), traditionally foals are raised without gender roles, often being called Sprites, and gender neutral pronouns used as an overall whole until a child insists on a particular pronoun. At which point, unless or until they identify otherwise, they will be referred to by their preferred pronouns and descriptors.

There are no set gender roles within the Kingdom, and titles are not given by the sex of the individual, but rather the job or rank they have taken, though sometimes by their gender identity.

However some families do not follow this typical within their own bloodline and territory so some confusion does occur.

Familiars
Familiars live as equals among the Eachan, and many artisan groups of smaller, often looked over familiars have moved into the area as Flutters certainly do not over look mice made materials and shelters, as they are just as valuable to them as raccoon built materials are to soquili who spend their lives larger than a mouse

Common

Mice/Squirrels: Their most plentiful companions, the industrious mice and squirrels are sort of the jacks of all trades. Some sects work in artistry, some in architecture, others in food and beverage, some in musical entertainment, and others still simply as assistants to their hooves companions, primping and grooming the Eachan.

Hummingbirds, Song birds, Rabbits, Ferrets, crows/jays: Hummingbirds and song birds often act as scouts and entertainers, while Rabbits are sometimes land steeds, body guards, or excavators to create the holes and tunnels for underground housing to be shored up and decorated by squirrels and mice. The Queen of the Brambled Woods closest companion is a Rabbit. Ferrets are often warriors, messengers, and rent their services as steeds to Mice.

Uncommon

Eagles/Condors/Owls/ravens: Often acting as Winged Steeds for the Nobility, Eachan Ridir, and those who can befriend, hire, or just happens to be bonded to one, and as scouts for the Fada members who remain to act as Ridir and midwives.

Bobcats, Foxes,Coyotes: Muscle for building structures and land based steeds for the Eachan, as well as simply good companions and Ridir.

Raccoons/Riverotters: Often times traders and scavengers, finding pottery and other materials usable to create shelters, and often building the rough framework for the mice and Squirrels to complete. Raccoons are often also the familiars that help set heavier pieces sturdily into the trees and hold them in place as Squirrels secure them to create arboreal homes hidden in the branches.

Lizards: while most are small and easily able to fit in with the Flutters, the cold blooded familiars aren't as common in the high mountain valley as they would be in other parts of the Kawani lands. Those that do live there tend to be those who come from families that grew up familiar with the ability to spark iron pyrite against flint to create small fires to warm themselves by, and may actually stick to rocky areas where they can do jewelry smithing.

Other

Larger and most other types of familiar are exceedingly rare and often times not fully members.... Or are simply unable to reach the high mountain valley where they live. If there's a familiar species I forgot that you think fits, be sure to tell me (once open for posting or on AIM/PM) and give me reasons why.

Preachan (Corvid familiars): The intelligent corvids are often traders, scholars, knights ambassadors, spies, and announcers in royal courts due to being specially adapt at remembering names and faces. They are also often Ridir in their own right. Out of all the Familiars, while they aren't as Common, Corvid Familiars, known only as Preachan by the locals, are considered to be some of the highest regarded and often spiritually blessed.

Creatures of Note

Troghan (aka Non Spirit Touched/Non-Familiar Ravens) It is not uncommon Mice to raise and train Non-spirit touched Feral Minded ravens, Known as Troghan. They are a domesticated species bred and raised here much like horses are irl, and can learn some commands and speak even fewer phrases, usually only knowing how to croak their riders name, their own name, and mimicing 2 to 5 phrases such as "Wanna biscuit", "Pretty bird", and their riders favorite swear word. They are as related to Preachan as humans are related to spider monkeys.

Troghan Are typically black based with a color or two of iridescence, though white markings are common. Some Trogan have their color visible even without iridescence but usually just as a patch such as having a blue or purple head or green on the legs. Males are brightly colored, with blues, greens, and purples, and females are dull colored, usually with muted reds, burgundies, bronze and copper. Sometimes they will have flecks or stripes of a brighter shade of one of their muted colors and or gold in their feathers.

Coinean (Aka Non Spirit Touched/nonfamiliar hares/Rabbits) Another popular Domesticated species of the Aos si is the Coinean, a Domesticated feral minded species of Jackrabbit. Unlike the Familiars, these are skittish creatures with eyes set on opposite sides of a long muzzled skull, giving them a sort of wall eyed expression compared to the flatter faces and more forward facing eyes of their Spirit Touched cousins. However, they make good ground transport for mice and squirrels, and can also be raised like cattle. Their place in the Eachan tir is somewhere between noble steed like a horse (or the Troghan), and Cattle for milk, meat, and hide.

Sian Coinean frequently act as steeds, and are bred specifically for such, being bred for speed, giving them the look of hares or Jackrabbits in build, but they also tend to be bred for markings and color, and different breeds of Sian Coinean are bred for different gaits, leaping styles, colors, fur types, and markings, making them more like the wild horses.

Miniature breeds exist simply for their looks as pets or for shearing their fur like Sheep, and tend to be softer rounder in look, and being incredibly docile -- Typically if eaten it is when they are still incredibly young, usually just to prevent over population. They are easy to grow attached to.

Calma Coinean tend to be slower and less prone to hopping, instead walking around the few actual roads within the land to transport items in wagons too heavy for most of the other riders. They are strong, but the second most docile of the breeds, and the calmest, least fearful of them, and those not kept as pets or wagons are often mostly raised as cattle.

Over all, colors and markings are similar to horses, cows, alpaca, and of course, rabbits.

The "bugs" of note Fireflies, Spiders, Dragonflies, Bees and Butterflies are often bred, raised, and kept as pets and companions.

Fireflies are bred and raised for their light -- there are some breeds of flightless firefly in the Eachan tir that are kept as pets (similar to how we keep fish) and will glow a dim but steady light whenever exposed to the dark.

Several spider breeds have been bred that produce different colors of web depending on their subbreed (from the standard whites, translucent and gold found in wild breeds, to deep purples, colbalt blues, emerald greens and ruby reds. They are trained to make it with and without the sticky substances, allowing for the silk to be harvested for clothing and for it to be used as a form of pest control. They're also common pets to keep small pests away, and given a set place to build their often decorative nets up. The species of spiders is small, and doesn't have very powerful venom as they have had no need to kill their own prey for generations.

Dragonfies and damselflies are a common sporting pet, used like how a falconer would use a falcon.

Bees are raised much like we do, but have been bred to be stingless and docile, protected by the locals.

Butterflies are important symbolically to those of the Eachan Tir, and tend to be raised either for their beauty as useful ornamental pets in a netted in flower garden, or sometimes for their wings.

Hunting of any of these in the wild is illegal.

Brughadair Familiars

Brughadair are most fond of Pronghorns, Eagles/falcons/hawks, Wolves, large cats and the other Bird breeds. However, they are often treated as Pets capable speech rather than equals like the Aos Si do, but many have either grown up within this culture, or shrug and think of it as a job, especially since, while some are used as hunting companions (and will often have a better relationship with their soquili companions) they aren't exactly mistreated and are often given food, shelter, protection, and gifts.

The Crafting Breeds that are useful for individuals of the Brughadair's size, such as Raccoons and river otters, are treated with a polite but distant relationship, treated more like outsiders and simply traded with or hired and generally ignored.

The few bison that had ended up in the territory are primarily guards and are treated respectfully simply due to their size being intimidating enough to warrant respect.

Most other breeds are often thought of as 'less', and will sometimes make distasteful comments about them or scold them for acting 'superior' (or rather, equal), and generally wrinkle their nose at them. Many familiars from this area take this in stride and are used to it and accept if fully.. Aos Si will often try to convince their cousins (And their familiars) that they really shouldn't have this sort of toxic relationship.

However, of course, those who are bonded to a more free spirited and not will often develop a respect towards either the individual, their familiars family, breed, or even all familiars in general as they come to realize that they are just like soquili, only in a different shape much like their adored Pixie Neighbors.

Maion-Shrad Familiars
The Maion-Shrad pretty much see familiars in a way much like they see most Fada ponies that are not of their neighboring allies -- Same mind, and outsiders, just different looking, and to be treated with caution.

Known Herds/Families/Territories within the Kingdom
KEY

Founder(s): Soquili that lead the family/herd/defends the territory.
"Kingdom": are they Aos Si Kingdom or are they from the other two allied herds?
Alliance: Light (members must pay tribute/have aspects of the Court of light), Dark (members must pay tribute/have aspects of the Court of Shadows), Twilight (neutral zone -- both are valid)
Status: Rogue (lives without shelters of their own and mostly off of the land), Citizen (Lives in a Dwelling/has a place of trade), Noble (Wealthy, living a well to do life. Involved in government), Court (Wealthy. Mostly just parties and enjoys what they have. Tend to be Illegitimate children of the Royalty or uncaring members of nobility. They court the idea of it without any 'noble' traits behind their actions..), Royalty* (restricted The Kings and Queens, their legitimate children, and the parents/siblings of the Kings and Queens. Currently Invite only.)

Familiar Status: Superior, Equals, Lower-class, Slaves, Prey.
Superior: Familiars are MORE important than Flutters/Soquili. (Specify if breed specific)
Equals: Familiars and Flutters are equals.
Lower-class: Treated as inferior, with biases against, but still have rights.
Slave: Inferior and treated like property.
Prey: Only good for Food and sometimes entertainment.

Note: if it is a Familiar group within the kingdom, switch Familiar to Flutter.

An Ceann Turas Inn (At the End of the journey Inn)
Founder(s): Caoimhe And Ailill
"Kingdom": Aos Si
Alliance: Twilight
Status: Citizen
Familiar Status: Equals

A Rather Open and visible location compared to much of the kingdom, the entrance way built under some rocks and its opening decorated merrily with found items and finely familiar crafted banners and signs, the An Ceann Turas Inn, also often just called "Journeys End Inn" is run by a Lifemated (Though Lovemated by Kawani standards due to their Open relationship.) couple of Sidhe (Pureblooded Flutters) And their occasionally mixed heritage offspring, and built into a well decorated and shaped rabbit warren, given many group stables and even the occasional private room, as well as serving prepared foods and drinks and providing song and entertainment.. All are welcome to take shelter, and grazing is free within their territory, but prepared foods and private rooms require some form of payment in return. They're a popular watering hole for working familiars, primarily mice and squirrels, and patrons that treat familiars poorly are quickly asked to leave. Fighting is forbidden within their territory. Hunting must be limited to non-familiar game (Such as fish or insects). Dragonflies, Spiders, and Butterflies are forbidden game however, as they are commonly kept as pets. And since it's generally forbidden to hunt-to-kill fireflies (as their most popular outdoor light source and are raised regularly by those who live there. They're bitter and nasty tasting anyway) or Bees (for their honey and wax (Though if you own a Hive your self, if you wish to raise them less for their wax and honey and more for their stings, venom, and meat it is within your right to do so) within the kingdom it doesn't really need mentioning to the locals but they will remind you of this anyway with regularity due to the fact they get enough travelers from other areas to make it clear that it is forbidden.

Is a Common Place for Outsider Flutters to stop buy and get their first taste of the culture as it is clearly advertised and designed with Flutters in mind, and out in the open (but protected from most attacks), and decorated with flower designs to invite them in.

rough info

Mindsend Elf 12:39 am
biggrin but my girl is pretty much a Flutter "innkeeper" for Traveling Flutters and Familiars: Runs a shelter with food, drink, and music, and a favorite watering hole for some of the Working Class Mice. She takes orders and sometimes entertains by singing tunes and dancing for/with patrons.
Gets them settled int the various stables/dens, brings people in during windstorms as a shelter.. Makes for a nice "Focal point" since, being an Inn, is less hidden than everything else

Roni 12:40 am
awwww, gotta take care of the working mice!

Mindsend Elf 12:41 am
Caoimhe: Three cheers for the working Mice and squirrels of the Eachan tir! *Flits up to the roof and pretty much crows her cheers*

Mindsend Elf 12:46 am
I ALSO have plans for some other flutters other than her and her 'sometimes" mate (Semi-Open relationship: MOST breedings will be between the two of them though. They would CONSIDERED lifemated by the standards of the culture, but not by that of MOST soquili. Mainly its a case of "sweetie I like this one can I?" "heck yeah, I can tell he's your type have fun honey *mwah*"), but even though they're older quests..... I really didn't want to have my first members of the herd being some of the Darker Court/mentally unstable (Cause it IS pretty heavily Fairy based and dont wanna get the wrong sort of impression of the herd by going with Dana O'shee and her twin brother as the starting group.

Mindsend Elf 12:49 am
Since they're not even REALLY part of the kingdom.... But rather a neighboring kingdom. Aos Si is the court of Light (the Seelie) And then they're from the Court of Dark (the Unseelie) but neither side are really 100% good or 100% bad
and the two kingdoms intermix rather peacefully and share guards so they'd likely be just.. Same group.

Roni 12:53 am
I like that a lot better than the black and white interpretations

Mindsend Elf 12:56 am
*nod* the king and Queen of the Aos si have Moon and Sun Theming to their costumery when I get them (in the future) While the unnamed as of yet Unseelie group gets Earth and Animal. The citizens dont really have much of a difference, its more the higher courts anyway. The Aos Si get the more "etherial and elegant" with Lights of the sky (Sun and moon) while the Unseelie are more Wild and untamed. Less Good vs evil and more civilization vs Wilds.
The two "kingdoms" Castles are built into the same tree and the two kings and Two Queens all command their people from the same court.

Mindsend Elf 12:58 am
They USED to be rivals however but long ago, even before these four came into power, figured out how to get along in order to survive.
Also, Queen and King of the Aos Si are male and female biology wise, but both identify as female.... The King is the one that's biologically female.

Dunno about the unnamed Unseelie king and Queen.
