"Supplies for a quest to find The Greater... Tabard of the Chimera, please", Kari called to the silent Guild master once more, not wanting to let on that she had no idea what a Tabard was. The quest demanded she find it, though, so she do her best to find it. She stared at the sack she was handed, finding it to be a bit smaller than her last sack.

"Is this some kind of test for my endurance or something?", she queried as she looked into the bag to find there was indeed less food than before, And just like every other time, she only got a hand wave in reply telling her that she would receive no answers.

Giving a sigh, she resigned herself to completing her task with tight rations. She could do it... she hoped.

Having gone through this same rocky terrain, you would think that Kari would be able to avoid tripping and nearly falling to her death... but once again, a careless move sent her grasping for leverage.

And once more, Kari watched as some of her food fell into oblivion. At least it wasn't her.

Trudging along through the forest, Kari was surprised to come across what looked to be a pile of food sitting int the middle of a clearing. Easing closer to it, she was relieved to find that it didn't look booby trapped. Picking up each piece carefully, she placed them inside her pack, grateful that something had finally gone right.

In retrospect, Kari probably should have seen her luck running out when she didn't go into the labyrinth with the proper amount of caution. The axe that came swinging towards her made she that she wouldn't forget the lesson.

Finally reaching the area just before her climb to the summit, Kari mistakenly tripped and nudged the horse carrying the food just enough for her entire pack to roll down a nearby hill and off a cliff.

Staring at where the pack disappeared half in shock and half in irritation, Kari decided it would be better to head back for more supplies than risk climbing the mountain without anything despite how much it frustrated her.

"I need another pack of supplies", Kari mumbled to the Guild Master, trying not to make eye contract. Yes, she had failed her first quest due to a stupid mistake. Luckily, she wasn't given any lecture or fuss as she was tossed another pack. Maybe this happened often enough that something like this was no big deal?

And once again, Kari tripped and fell while traversing the rocky terrain.

Fortunately, not as much food was lost this time. She really needed to get her eyes checked if she was having this much trouble just walking.

Taking the same route she had previously, she wondered how food had once again magically appeared in the same clearing it had shown up in before. It wasn't even food that should naturally be obtained in a forest, consisting of preserved meats and other goods alongside fresh fruits and vegetables.

Whatever the case, she wasn't going to overlook what luck had given her, and took it with silent thanks.

Going through the labyrinth, Kari got a bad feeling when the horse began to act jittery. Her bad feeling was realized when a loud thud in the distance was enough to spook her horse completely, causing Kari to hastily reach out to her pack before the creature could take off with it.

Slinging the pack over her back with a huff, Kari continued throught the rest of the cave in silence.

Finally reaching the base of the mountain, Kari started her climb. Partway up, she lost her footing and yelled a bit too loudly while trying to regain her balance, prompting a cascade of snow to come after her. Luckily, a nearby cave provided adequate cover for her to escape death.

After finally managing to dig herself out, she sat on the snowed over section of mountain to catch her breath while looking up to gauge her distance to the summit. It looked pretty far, but she could probably make it with some time to spare before nightfall.

Resuming her climb, the rest of the journey was met with no incident. Pulling herself over the final ledge, she could feel her excitement growing. Not only would she be completing her quest, but she would also be able to figure out what a Tabard was! Approaching the pedestal, she saw... a dress? Scratch that, upon closer inspection, it looked more like a long tunic. It didn't really look like mythical armor, but she wasn't really going to question whether she'd found the right thing after all the trouble she'd gone through to get to the summit. Stuffing the article of clothing into her pack, Kari made her way back down the mountain and towards home.
