With a sky that was now black and foreboding, and a keen sense of unease in his heart, Wrath prepared himself for yet another quest for an artifact, though this time he made plans to go about it on his own, needing time to reflect on a great many things and what they all meant (though he was hardly very good at reflecting). With a bag packed full of provisions, and a sturdy looking black horse named Dreadhoof (Wrath approved), he got himself mounted and ready to set off. QUEST STATUS Food remaining: 24 YOUR HP: 30/30

Despite the more than ominous atmosphere, things remained quiet for a time while Wrath immersed himself in thoughts that he could not hope to unravel. Unfortunately, as lost in thought as he was, he completely missed the part where he was about to ride straight into a bee's nest, just like he had done the first time he'd gone on a quest. With a startled shout, he soon found himself tumbling to the ground in a crash of leather and armor, hair flipping over his face, horse galloping off back to the castle like some kind of bat out of hell. "Dreadhoof, you coward!" He called back to the horse, as he pushed himself to his feet. Luckily enough, his bag of food had managed to fall on the ground nearby. Quote: Rolling a 3: You accidentally ride into a bees nest. BEEEEES. Your horse runs away, making it extremely hard on you. Every turn you take, you must subtract 5 food from the caravan. Wrath picked up his bag and continued on his way, trodding along the path and digging into his bag for food every other minute, finding that when he walked, he suddenly became incredibly hungry. Apple cores were discarded, loaves of bread consumed with hardly a pause, hunks of cheese crammed into cheeks. At some point, he thought that he heard the distant clop of hooves in the distance, but then figured it was just his imagination. Dreadhoof was a terrible, terrible horse. He made it through the forest with no problems, though he was forever wary that something might jump out at him. The pathway through the mountain was next, and he entered it carefully, remembering quite well what had happened to him the first time he'd entered a mysterious cavern. Moving quite stealthily for his size, he was nearly through when he came upon a crate in the path. Hesitating for a moment, not knowing if it was really safe to open, he nudged the lid off with a toe, arms and hammer raised to destroy whatever might be within. Oh. Food! Yes he could definitely go for another loaf of bread right now! And possibly some more meat and cheese as well (though the meat was rather scarce), and well, more bread because there was just so much of it here now, it really couldn't hurt. Wrath basically just sat down right there and had himself a pleasant meal, all while contemplating certain things. Eventually, he packed up the leftover food from the crate (crumbs, at this point) into his bag and made his way through the rest of the mountain, completely uninterrupted by any horrible things. He was, for some reason, expecting the other side of the mountain to be sunny and clear. But of course, it was not. Nothing had changed in his time roaming through the mountains vast and often times treacherous halls. The world outside was still a dark and desolate place, promising danger and destruction. He hefted his hammer in his hand, and set out up the hill. Miraculously enough, nothing at all happened on his way to the top. He was not accosted by anything, did not lose any of his food (save for that which he ate, because he ate rather a lot), and arrived at his final destination with not even a scratch on his person, a far cry from his first quest! At the hill's peak, he found what he had been searching for, the Greater Leggings of the Aries. Nailed it again. He was so good at this. Quote: Rolling a 5: Somehow, you made it safely. Somehow.
