"I'm going on a quest for the Greater Leggings of the Virgo, I would like some supplies please." Once more, the man at the desk silently gave Kari a sack, albeit much smaller than the last one. She waited for a moment to see if there was more, but was disappointed at the hand waved at her to move on. She just had to make due with what she had. Hopefully it would be enough.

Putting her pack and weapon on her horse, she gave it a long look. "You better stick with me... I'm willing to bet the last one that abandoned me died", she murmured to the white furred creature, which only stared back in reply. Feeling the warning was sufficient, she lead the horse out to go on another quest.

Kari had a sense of deja vu as she hiked up the mountain trail with her horse in tow. Last time, she'd nearly fallen due to a careless step. She wouldn't make the same mistake again.

If only her horse had known to be careful. It stepped oddly on a rock and began to topple over, prompting Kari to attempt to save it, only to lose her own footing.

Digging her spetum into the rocky side, she was able to catch herself before more than a few pieces of food fell into the chasm. Giving an irritated look to the beast, they continued on.

"You know, this journey's not going to end well if this is how things are going to be the whole way", Kari grumbled to the horse as it plodded along beside her. It gave no indication that it understood or cared, making a small corner of her mind twinge.

Kari once again found herself in the eerie forest. Keeping an eye on the horse to make sure this one didn't bolt off, she made sure to keep an eye and ear out for anything dangerous.

*gurrrrrgl*

Kari stopped. The noise had come from her own stomach. She guessed she had been paying so much attention to her surroundings that she'd forgotten to eat. Picking out some food from the bag, Kari decided a break was in order.

If only time stopped for breaks.

Kari had barely taken a single bite from an apple before she felt the presence of something at her back. Rolling out of the way as something big and black came crashing down, she leveled her spetum to see... a giant spider. Nope. Not happening. Kari wasn't going to deal with it. Nope.

Kari decided an immediate retreat was in order. Paying no heed to the food that was left behind, she jumped onto the horses' back and urged it to get them out of there. Thankfully, the spider seemed more interested in the food she left behind.

Having escaped the forest, Kari found herself in the labyrinth. She hoped that having a horse would prove to make the way easier.

Unfortunately, the horse stepped on a stone that triggered a cascade of arrows to rain down. Urging the horse forward once more, Kari hissed at the arrows that managed to hit her.

Reaching the end of the cave, she was alive, but not unscathed while her horse looked to be in pristine condition.

"You're either really lucky or really unlucky", Kari grumbled to the beast once more.

Making her way up the mountain, Kari strained her ears and eyes for the slightest sign of danger. She'd had a pretty rough time so far, so she wasn't about to drop her guard, even if...

The stone pedestal with a pair of green panties stood before her. This was too easy. There had to be something waiting to attack her. She admitted that she might be a bit on the paranoid side, but she'd been attacked by a giant spider and a rain of arrows. She was allowed to be on edge.

Stepping forward carefully, Kari looked around as if expecting something to present itself. When nothing did, she carefuuly picked up the garment and stared at it. A small green pair of panties... this is what she risked her life for? Well, they felt nice, at least.

Pocketing the garment, Kari wasted no time mounting her horse and getting off the mountain before her paranoia was realized.
