He could not understand why he was going to go out once more, but he was. It was as if he had gone through this trial so many times that TK refused to ultimately walk back to the kingdom empty handed and feeling like a failure. It was an awful feeling that he refused to taste if he could avoid it. With the click of his tongue, he reluctantly began to pack for the journey once more. As TK began to throw familiar fruits and snacks into the bag, he idly wondered if packing more would make a difference. His previous amount had been sufficient to get him through the journey, but who knows what he would encounter this time? Fate was fickle.
Let’s see what would happen, shall we?

The paths were becoming increasingly familiar, and he could not tell if this pleased or irked him. On one hand it was nice to know that his memory was functioning normally and such. On the other hand it meant he had ran through this course enough times to actually become familiar with his surroundings. Yet, there was something about the cliffs that always surprised him. No matter what, there would always be one wrong step that would cause him to nearly slip and fall to his death.
And ultimately, there would go a portion of his supplies as well.QUEST STATUS Food remaining: 34 YOUR HP: 30

Yet again parts of his heart were torn as he watched parts of his supplies fall over the cliff and into the darkness. As it disappeared into the shadows, he couldn’t help but feel relief because he had decided to bring extra food with him on the journey. Then again, a large chunk of his provisions had just be thrown into the abyss and in the end, that was a waste of food.
He could not help but sigh and then continue on his journey. There was nothing else he could do now.

It was only a matter of time before familiar events started to happen once more. He closed his eyes as he entered the forest. TK certainly hoped that he would not meet one of the giant spiders again. He had had enough of those giant creatures, though they did not particularly scare him. The only problem was that he was tired of being chased by them. It was always a hassle to find his horse, jump on, and then pray his mount was fast enough to outrun it.
Of course, his horse ran away. He supposed that was one less thing he would have to worry about, but now he had to carry his own food.QUEST STATUS Food remaining: 28 YOUR HP: 30

Somewhere along his journey, TK had managed to find his horse once more. However, this did not change the fact that he had already lost food because this blasted mount had decided to flee from him.
As he walked through the labyrinth, it seemed the horse had sensed his ill emotions toward it.
Understandably, it decided to run away a second time. Needless to say, the tall apprentice was not pleased with this turn of events.QUEST STATUS Food remaining: 23 YOUR HP: 30

It was finally the end of his journey. Was this it? Would TK finally be able to return home in one piece and with an actual artifact as proof of his efforts? He really hoped so.
Just before he stepped forward, he took a breath. Then he finally—
A squawk. He paused.
He wanted to scream, but managed to hold back. Instead he brought himself into a defensive position and tried to swat away the giant, wild eagles that decided now of all times was a good idea to attack him. TK couldn’t understand what was so appealing about him. Was it the metal armor that he was wearing? They occasionally gleamed in the light.
Frustrated, he grabbed some gauntlets and ran.QUEST STATUS Food remaining: 13 YOUR HP: 20
