It did not take too long for Merlinite to return to the two senshi, who were waiting for him on the dimly lit streets below. He looked a little embarrassed and chagrined, but he did not say anything about his conversation with Camelot and indicated for them to follow him.
He took them to an area not too far away from the library, Camelot's aura still able to be felt in the distance, like a protective beacon over them. He was not really keeping an eye on them, but if another Chaos aura did pop up in the area... well, he would certainly not hesitate to jump in.
The empty lot was not too big, but big enough for what they wanted to do. It was fenced all around, with wood planks inside the grating of the fence, so it offered them enough protection from prying eyes. At least for now. Merlinite looked at the two senshi, then smiled. He was a General, after all, and now part youma. He felt like he could stand against the two senshi.
"Alright, ladies. give me your best shot."
SInistra looked a little worried, but nodded her head slowly. She looked at Harmonia, since they were going to be partners for this fight. Of course, Sinistra had never had any formal fighting training and the only fights she had been in were... well. She had not done much.
So this was going to be very interesting.

Harmonia had not expected this. It seemed that everyone was keen on training in a more straight forward method than actually breaking things down. Ah well, who was she to doubt them? After all she was the one looking for training and certainly didn't know what was best or what her trainers had in mind. "Alright..." She said a bit hesitantly as she glanced over at Sinistra. It looked like the other Senshi was feeling about the same as she was. As excited as Harmonia was to train with a partner, she really knew nothing about Sinistra. This would prove interesting. Having taken a lesson off of Chaonis, Harmonia glanced around to see what could be used as a physical weapon but to her dismay found nothing besides some small rocks and a few random pieces of broken wood. Certainly not completely useless but she doubted it would do much against her youmafied friend. Plus, she didn't want to take the risk that she'd really hurt him. So, giving a nod of her head to Sinistra to indicate she was going in, Harmonia charged forward towards Dennis. She closed the distance quickly and pulled back her arm to throw a punch towards his chest.

Merlinite had more of a plan than Chaonis did, but he needed to see what they could do first. From there, he could build on their skills and help them understand the basics of fighting. That had always been his forte, when he was a Captain, since he had not really developed his own brand of battling by the time he was corrupted.
Maybe if he had been a General, and could keep on practicing... or a knight, as the case would have been.
He watched the way Harmonia moved, more than worrying about her hit. He let her come at him, and braced himself for her punch to his chest. It hurt, but he did not go tumbling, digging his claws into the ground and remaining firmly rooted. He looked at her, nodding his head and then indicating for her to stand to the side, so Sinistra could take her turn.
It was much less successful. The Senshi of Brooms looked unsure, then sort of flitted up toward Merlinite and threw what might have been considered a punch if she was a three year old mimicking one she might have seen before. Her hand fell lightly against Merlinite's shoulder, and he looked at her blandly, making her skitter away to hide next to Harmonia.
"Well. Uh. You guys are... well. There's definitely a little work to do here."

Harmonia's own hand stung a bit from the impact of hitting Dennis. She gave it a good shake as she moved away from him to see what Sinistra would do. She was intrigued to see how the Senshi of Brooms would do. And...needless to say that Harmonia really didn't need to stand there in anticipation. The poor girl was even worse off than she was and that was something Harmonia didn't think was possible. Harmonia looked at the girl as she flitted to her side at Dennis's look. It was obvious she was still really unsure about getting help from a former Nega soldier turned half-youma. "Um, we're not hopeless...right?" Despite having had a good session with Chaonis, and having picked up something off of their first lesson Harmonia still doubted her abilities. The few that she had. She patted Sinistra's shoulder to try and encourage her and also bolster herself. "I know we'll work hard at it anyway. So do what you have to." Harmonia knew she sounded more confident than she actually felt. Part of it was to try and keep Sinistra from feeling anymore uncomfortable and the other part was in an attempt to make herself maybe feel a bit better.

"No, you're not. I mean. You're not, Harmonia. I'm not too sure about Princess here," he looked at Sinistra, who blushed furiously.
"Well I've never fought anyone before! I don't know how to hit anyone! I thought that's what you were going to do to help us?!"
The half youma sighed, flicking his tail behind him and clicking his claws together. It was a new habit he had picked up while he was thinking, as he licked the sound of it. He watched them for a thoughtful moment, then moved toward them. he didn't attack, though, making them both stand toward him and then moved to stand in front of them.
"Okay, ladies. I just need you to mimic my posture, okay? Minus the wings and tails, of course. I don't expect you to get those until later," he lifted his fists and shifted his feet, letting them see the stance he wanted them to take. It was a basic defensive stance, ready and one of the better places to start a fight in, he felt. At least at the beginning, when one was not sure about themselves or what they were doing.

Harmonia was relieved to hear she wasn't completely hopeless but felt bad for Sinistra. She was surprised though to hear the girl defend herself. Maybe she's getting more comfortable with him! That would be a step in the right direction."You're lucky you haven't had to fight yet." Harmonia replied seriously. "It's...not a fun thing to do." As Dennis pulled their attention to him Harmonia chuckled at his joke before studying his posture for a moment. She carefully shifted her stance and lifted her fists up but felt awfully awkward and wondered if maybe she wasn't wide enough with her feet. So she shifted herself again but continued to just feel strange. Maybe because this is all new it feels weird?"Um...is this right?" She lifted her fists up a bit more thinking she was drooping too much.

Merlinite shook his head and moved to Harmonia's side, putting his clawed hand on her arm and easing one down, balancing the other and shifting her elbows so she had more flow in her arms. He kicked one of her feet to indicate she should shift it out a bit more, and once she was balanced he stepped back and nodded his head, then went to Sinistra and helped her in a similar way.
It took a lot more time and a few heavy sighs to get Sinistra in a reasonably close position.
"Okay, you see what you two are doing? You're ready. Just ready. Waiting for an attack to come your way, or ready to launch one of your own. Once you get this stance down, and tune your brain into it, get your mind on the fight at hand, you'll be rooted. You should be able to avoid getting your teeth kicked in immediately, at least."
He moved back to Harmonia and turned around, whipping his long tail at her, though he wasn't moving quite as fast as he maybe might be able to. He wanted to see if she had the reaction time to either get out of the way, block him, or take the chance to attack.
Sinistra watched, wide eyed, and realized she would get attacked next. So she focused on her stance, doing what she could to memorize the way he had positioned her, though she had already shifted a bit and lost some of the balance he had worked so hard to show her.

Harmonia didn't even flinch at the clawed hand adjusting her arm. The scales were still odd to feel on her skin, but not in a bad way. At the indicated kick she did as requested and shifted her foot. When she hit that point of balance she felt better. Still a little awkward, but better. She certainly didn't feel like she'd fall over too easily. Quietly she watched as Sinistra was moved into the correct stance. She tried to take note of how Dennis was moving certain limbs from where they were to see if it would help her remember what she should be doing. Maybe I am just thinking too much. She mused to herself. Nodding slowly to Dennis's words Harmonia wasn't sure if she felt confident with all of this. At least not yet. Sure, she felt solid where she was standing but also didn't feel all that nimble. I just need to focus on how this all feels. I bet it'll get better with practice. Unfortunately for Harmonia she didn't see Dennis's movement fast enough. As his tail came whipping at her legs she just barely noticed it, freaked out, attempted to dodge, but ended up with her legs out from underneath her and her rear-end meeting the dirt ground roughly. "Ugh." She groaned as a small little dust cloud billowed up from the impact. "I think I was too focused on how it felt to be in that position and not really paying attention to anything else." She admitted.

Merlinite looked apologetic as he offered her his claw.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hit you that hard. Come on, we'll figure out the perfect stance for you. A lot of it is feeling: you have to know the way you want to move, or the way your body is designed to move, before you can really perfect your stance. This is just the start."
He helped her to her feet, offering her a smile as best he could with his fangs and his guilty expression. He motioned for her to wait, though, since he was going to go knock Sinistra over now. He turned suddenly and charged at the other senshi, swinging his tail in the same way he had for Harmonia, thinking maybe Sinistra would use that as a warning.
And she kind of did. She managed to bring up both her arms in front of her face and brace her legs a bit, so when the tail smacked into her arms, she did not topple over. She did, however, let out a girlish squeal and smacked Merlinite right in the face for his efforts. He blinked, stunned.
At least she had fast attack reflexes.
"Oh, I'm so sorry. I just... uhm... I'm so sorry!" Sinistra yelped. But the youma did not seem too fussed about it, waving her off and laughing.
"No, you did good, don't worry about it. That was just a surprise. Alright. Harmonia, do you want to try again?" He looked back at her, tilting his head.

Harmonia took the proffered claw and stood up with a slight bounce despite her rather rude welcome to the dirt. "It's alright. I'd rather get beat up here in a lesson by you then on my own in a real fight." She smiled at him to prove she was OK as she watched his move to Sinistra. Like Dennis, Harmonia was expecting the girl to also eat dirt, but to her amazement Sinistra actually managed to hold her ground AND hit him back. Strangely enough Harmonia felt a bit jealous that the girl managed to do that when she couldn't. Though Harmonia did let a chuckle escape her at the squeal that the other senshi let out. From what she could pick up on Sinistra, Harmonia felt the girlish cry was very much in character. "Oh, yea sure!" Carefully she attempted to position herself the way she was before Dennis had swept her off her feet. She tried to remember how well balanced she felt and kept shifting her legs, arms and weight until she felt like she was at least remotely correct. This time though she made sure not to be so internally focused and instead focused on the half-youma. The last thing she wanted was to hit the dirt again, especially after Sinistra managed to not only block him but hit him.

Sinistra was bright red and decided that one attack was probably more than enough for one night, and she did not want to have to do anything like that again. Hitting other people was definitely not something she considered fun.
Maybe she could just continue to do what she had been doing, and avoid fighting all together.
Waving her hands, she moved to find a place to gently sit down, lighting on in like a bird to a branch. Everything about her was graceful and slight, but that kind of dainty nature was not really lending itself to being a soldier in a war. She would have to figure out a way to make it all work.
If only there were a research or desk position available...
Merlinite looked at Harmonia, nodding his head and then bracing himself for a fight. His own stance was a little different, more adapted now to his one wing and long tail, and of course his claws. He did not launch a different attack, though, sticking with the tail swing that she was expecting from him. He just wanted to get the basics down.
That took a little practice and repetition.

A little smile played on Harmonia's lips at Sinistra's actions. The girl was so dainty and bouncy. It was odd to think of her as a soldier in a war, but she was. Well, it wasn't like Harmonia was much better off yet. So, Harmonia kept her gaze on Dennis as he took his own fighting stance. She watched him carefully waiting to see what he would do and when she saw the tail whip towards her again she was ready this time, though a bit surprised he was using the same attack. Instead of leaping backwards and away from the attack Harmonia decided to jump upwards tucking her legs up. It almost felt like jumping rope as the appendage went by underneath her without any trouble. Landing gently Harmonia let her body do what it naturally wanted and she stepped forward to throw a punch at her opponent, aiming for the gut region. Lithiasaur Little post. Gotta brush off my sleepiness, sorry.

Merlinite was surprised when she moved to dodge him rather than move away, and he was glad to see her dodge his tail. He was not trying to hurt her, but he was also pretty fast despite his holding back a little. He was a General, after all.
But he was not going to let the difference in power level get the better of him. He did not want to really hurt her, just help her with her training. There was an urge in him to fight, especially when she punched at him, but he ignored it as it called to him.
He was surprised when she managed to land a hit, though it did not hurt all that much. He swung out in response, doubling forward on instinct but using the movement to bring his arm around closer to punch at her.
Sinistra watched them both, wide eyed but interested. She winced, but was not about to go interrupt them. They were both much better at this than she was, she could tell, and she would just get in the way of their progress. Anyway, she could learn just as well from just watching them.

Very opposite of Dennis, Harmonia didn't have that call to fight. Yes, there were instincts there, mostly to protect herself, than it was in an interest to ever really hurt anyone. Truthfully, she'd much rather sit and talk things out which was quite true to her domain. But, in a war, some things can't be solved with just words and that was why she needed this training so badly. She'd been shown all too well how some people in this war treated others and she didn't want to be on the receiving end of a complete beating again. Nor did she want to see anyone else hurt. So if fighting was going to be the answer, well, she was determined to learn. Harmonia was about as surprised as Dennis when she felt her fist make contact with him. She had expected him to dodge or just block it. In fact, she was so surprised by it that she missed his next incoming attack and took the punch in the chest which caused her to stumble backwards before tripping over her own two feet and hitting the dirt again. "Ugh." She groaned when she made impact before laying back in the dirt with a sigh. "I feel like I am my own worse enemy when I fight." She laid there for a moment before rising up to her feet. "That's pretty typical of me. I can get one hit in then it all seems to fall a part for one reason or another." She brushed the dust off of her uniform and batted at her hair for moment to knock some of it out.

Merlinite moved to follow her as she stumbled back, opening his fist to reveal his claws, but pulling his hand back at the last moment when he realized what he was doing. he did not want to slash her or leave her with any serious injuries, after all.
It worried him, a little, that he had been so quick to turn to slashing and fighting like a youma, but at least he was able to control himself. It was all just things he would have to get used to.
After all, he had not been in many fights like this, either.
"You did pretty good, though. We can keep working," he said, offering her his had to help her up, but she was already on her feet. He smiled at her, a little awkward with his fangs but he hoped they just made him look a little endearing more than scary. "You might even be able to get two hits in some time. Who knows?"
