He had just returned from a quest, though he looked more like somebody who had just come back from battle. His hair was a mess, loose from the knot it had been tied back in and al bedraggled. Blood smeared his face from a gash on his cheek, and more blood yet stained his clothing here and there, puncture marks quite apparent at each site. He was walking a rather stiffly, with a slight limp, eyes lidded. When he reached one particularily inviting looking stone wall, he slumped against it with a loud sigh, and turned to press his back against it, one hand going up to press against his shoulder as he then let out a low groan, followed by a chuckle and a small shake of his head.

That quest had been so invigorating!

But also nearly deadly, as was quite apparent from the look of him. Leaning there for several long moments, head leaned back with eyes closed, he finally opened them again, looking around for anybody nearby.

And there just so happened to be somebody.

"Hello!" He called out to the person, though there back was turned to him. "You there! Sir....or Lady." He squinted. Yes, that was probably a lady..... "Could you perhaps help me?"

Na'ima had been on her way to..somewhere. Honestly, she wasn't quite sure where. It was mostly an aimless wander as she searched for something to do. She didn't even notice the wreck of a man relaxing on the wall until someone called out. It was one of those feelings where, even when he hesitated to call her 'lady', she knew it was directed toward her. She frowned, stopping in her path and fixing her head scarf so it was more hoodlike as she turned her head to look over her shoulder.

...Help him. Yes. Did he need help not dying, perhaps? That seemed like a good idea. Yes.

"How may I help you, Sir?" She called out in reply, turning to face him fully. Golden amber eyes looked him up and down, assessing his current state. He looked as if a mob of cats had jumped him. Large cats. She raised a brow, tilting her head to one side and beginning to make her way toward him. "Do you perhaps require medical attention? I'm not quite one for healing, but I can find someone who is."

Yes, definitely female, he was quick to realize before she even turned, his lidded, slightly strained gaze taking in the curves that were not hidden in the slightest by her dress, and rather appreciating the view.

She may have caught him staring a little when she turned, before his eyes moved up to meet hers, his mouth opening to speak, but everything he'd been about to say simply gone, the words choked off and forgotten.

She was absolutely stunning.

It was her eyes that captivated him most, however, piercing and amber. As she moved nearer to him, her words were lost by a sudden buzzing in his brain, as he could think of nothing else but her beauty.

As she stopped in front of him, his lips quirked up in a smile, which was quickly followed by a wide grin after he uttered a single word.

"Hello."

Apparently he forgot that he'd already said that.

What.

Na'ima narrowed her eyes a moment. Yes, he had already said that. Why was it saying it again? "Did you hit your head?" She asked with complete seriousness. He was bleeding enough, she would believe him if he had.

She stepped closer to get a better look at his wounds. "You should really do something about these, else they will become infected."

All business all the time.

She was speaking again, and this time he forced himself to listen, eyes blinking as her question sank in, his grin slipping away just slightly as he shook his head. "No, not my head." He replied, shifting away from the wall to stand up straighter, not wishing to look weak and pathetic in front of such a woman.

"But rather, now, I believe I may have been struck in the heart. You are quite beautiful, M'lady."

Smooth.

Na'ima nearly groaned. Really? She frowned and tugged her hood to shadow her face better from view, crossing her arms over her chest to attempt to provide less 'distraction'. She tapped one foot, the heel of her boot clicking on the stone walkway. "You would know if I struck your heart, you would never recover from it," she replied cooly. Whether this was flirting or a serious statement was left for debate...but it was likely the latter.

"How are you even standing right now?" He looked a mess. This was why he asked for help, wasn't it?

She was pulling her hood lower, casting her face in shadows that did nothing to mar her appearance, but rather instead gave her an air of rather enticing mystery. He was more than half tempted to reach a hand out to brush the hood back again, to bring her features into the light where they could be much better admired, but he somehow managed to refrain, his fingers, tacky with nearly dried blood, instead rubbing against his thumb in rather fidgety gesture.

Her statement earned her another flash of teeth. "But who is to say that I will ever recover, or that I would ever wish to?" He countered, "You assume to know much about the condition of my heart!"

Even while she asked her next question, he was lifting a free hand in an attempt to smooth out and push back his hair, but he winced slightly at a sharp pain in his shoulder.

Which, of course, he covered up with another smile. "It was the very sight of you, M'lady, which has lifted me up as if carried by the wings of a glorious angel."

It might have come off a bit better if at that very moment, one of his knees didn't buckle beneath him, sending him sagging forward before he managed to catch himself on the wall.

"Though, perhaps...." He said, slowly, "My injuries are slightly more dire than I am willing to admit. Do you happen to know where I might find a healer?"

It was a very wise choice on his part not to touch her without invitation, it would not have garnered any pleasant reaction. Instead she was left just staring at him as he countered her comment with a look that seemed to ask him if he was insane. Did he think he was cute? He looked ready to collapse against that wall and instead of answering her on what kind of medical attention he needed he was standing here making jokes?! Where was this man's survival instinct? Did he lack all manner of basic intelligence?

"I'm very skilled in stopping hearts," I think, "Permanently." She frowned. "I don't need to know their condition to do something so simple." No, she was serious. There was no flirting here. Na'ima was being completely literal in these comments. It was very likely she knew he was hoping she would play with him; she wasn't interested. He was being foolish.

And there it was. She sighed and watched him collapse against the wall again. Idiot. While for most seeing someone in the condition would have them rushing to comfort the ailing man, Na'ima had a feeling if he was fit to flirt he was good enough. "Are you able to walk? It would be better I bring you to one instead of leaving to bring one back."

He was in pain. Rather a lot of pain, in fact, yet he still managed to smile at her comment. She was a feisty one, that was plain to see, and while she might have been trying to put him off with her somewhat cold reply, she had managed to do just the opposite, only intriguing him more. "You are rather delightful, M'lady, and I think, when I am feeling better, I would like to continue this conversation."

Completely unphased.

At her question, he braced himself, and pushed himself away from the wall for a second time. "If I managed to make it this far on my feet, I am sure I will be able to continue for a ways longer." For now, it seemed that he had shifted out of flirtation mode. A hand went up to press against his shoulder once more.

"I am Wrath, by the way, and I do appreciate the help...." He let raised an eyebrow at her in question, waiting for her to give her name as well.

"Of course you would," she muttered with a roll of her eyes.

When he pushed off the wall she kept a critical eye on him, prepared to begin walking when he was able to get moving. He didn't look well at all. She was curious what had happened. When he spoke she looked up again, saying nothing at first and simply staring up at his face.

Hm..

"Na'ima," she finally answered but only after it seemed as if there would not come any reply at all. "Come, we'll find you a healer. What happened, anyway?"

Yes. Of course he would. Even the spiteful yet endearing way in which she muttered the words and the demeaning roll of her gorgeous eyes could not dissuade him.

"Na'ima." He tested the name on his tongue, and, of course, found that he rather liked the way that it sounded. It was as wonderful as everything else about her! He smiled broadly again, seemingly almost incapable of any other expression, and began to shuffle along, though he kept himself near the wall for support if it was needed, not wishing to bleed all over the beautiful lady.

"Well, M'lady, would you believe that I, Wrath, the mightiest of warriors, managed to step on some silly little booby trap that hailed arrows down upon me? It's true!" As if he were trying to suggest he was normally too clever for such a thing to happen.

Well. Maybe he was. It wasn't like he could remember if he'd ever done anything so stupid before.

Her brow raised. "I might believe that 'mightiest of warriors' claim if you continue to walk without passing out from blood loss." A genuine compliment this time, though her tone remained flat. "Do you know what happens if you lose too much blood at one time, Sir Wrath? You could become incredibly weakened from it, and we need every able bodied warrior to keep their strength up at any moment's notice." Shaking her head, a gloved hand tapped at her cheek as she watched him while they walked. He could pass for an attractive man if not for all the blood, perhaps. She would need to see him again once he was cleaned up.

"Arrows, hm? I hope they were not coated with anything," she mused while eyeing his wounds. "It's what I would do. Even if you block the hit with your arm, it's still effective."

He continued to grin, despite the fact that he was, obviously, struggling to move along on his own without any support. It was a trial, but one that he would face, and now with extra incentive, if he was to prove to her that he was as strong and mighty as he claimed! He was not a liar, as far as he could recall, so he saw no need to start now.

"Yes, I am aware." He grunted, taking a deep breath to steady himself with as he moved along. "It has been rather hard not to notice, at least." Exhaling, he glanced to his side towards her.

"I do not feel any affects to suggest otherwise." He assured her. "Just what I think is normal for arrow wounds." He shrugged his massive shoulders, wondering how much further this trek would be.

"It was worth it, however! I have returned with the artifact that I sought." He removed his hand from his shoulder, and held it out towards her, showing off one of his new gauntlets, which effectively hid his wrist from view (much like her gloves seemed to be doing).

"I hope that the King will be pleased."

"That is good to hear, do let me know if that changes, however. Perhaps I can be of assistance to you, then." Normal for arrow wounds. This was a thing with him. He was a mighty warrior who was constantly injured. Ugh, brutes. No sense of subtlety or style.

However, his announcement earned her interest. An artifact? She looked down at the gauntlet and stopped walking to instead reach out and settle her hands underneath it as if to support the weight of his hand. She gave it a slight bounce, not enough to hurt him but enough for him to notice it was happening. "It's very nice. Is it not heavy on your arm, however? I could carry them for you, if you trust me."

"I think that you are being of great assistance to me now, Na'ima, but if you are offering to assist me later....." A rather cheeky look followed by a wink, before he was giving his head a small shake and chuckling, knowing full well that he was failing in every attempt at charming her, though he was not at all willing to quit trying.

Poor woman.

When she stopped walking, he halted as well, letting out a deep breath, his eyes closing for a moment. Her offer at taking his gauntlets for him was considered, as he opened his eyes once more and focused on her face.

"You have given me no reason not to trust you so far, M'lady." He shifted so that both arms were held out towards her. "Though I may need a little help getting them off."
