Elpis was quiet, if only because it was a slow night and the Senshi was taking a lazy route of doing patrol. The sky was full of stars, every star home to a senshi at some point, Elpis mused, but the asteroid she visited was not visible, not tonight. Still, visiting had been - an experience, one she was both excited by and unnerved by, and the senshi decided to focus on the less unnerving parts. She'd spent days looking for information on the flowers in her homeworld, but found nothing. Aesthetically she was reminded of tulips, but otherwise? They simply weren't. Passing through the field told her they were..... Abnormal. Regardless, she considered studying them next time, or perhaps the art, and only then did she get fully distracted, roaming on the ground lost in thought, only vaguely aware of her surroundings, and the senshi hummed softly, otherwise silent.

Sinistra had certainly learned a lot in the last few days.
She learned that mud was just as disgusting as ever, but her clothes cleaned themselves when she powered down and back up. That was a brilliant skill and she really hoped she could find more very useful things like that! If only it worked like that with all her clothes, and she could just clean them and make them perfect again in a heartbeat.
She also learned that youma were terrifying, and she hated them. Not that she thought she would like them, from what she heard in the beginning. Still, she was absolutely certain now that they were her least favorite things in the world.
Horrible monsters.
She also learned a bit more about her magic, and was feeling great about that. And these little bottles! They were fantastic, if not still a mystery to her. All in all, she was having a really fun time so far, and just wanted to keep learning. The more she did, the more excited she got. Even the fighting thing did not worry her too much.
Feeling the aura of another senshi, she hurried toward it and was delighted to spot a familiar friend not too far away from her, seeming at her leisure judging from how she was walking.
"Elpis! Good evening!"

Elpis looked up from her silent contemplation to a familiar voice, although she almost jumped out of her skin before seeing who it was as her senses slammed her mind with another aura, almost like a freight train, and she waved.
"Hey, Sinistra!" And like that, the Senshi made her way over, humming.
"Keeing busy?"
The senshi tilted her head curiously, excited to hear what she had to say. After al, it wasn't every day a senshi was around for her to swap notes with.

NovaCracker Sorry I didn't get this tag! The quote was broken ;-; "I've been learning and practicing a lot, yes! It's been rather fun! Surprisingly so, considering how mucky and terrible this job can be!" She laughed, but she really had not had too many bad experiences. Some youma, yes, but no serious beatings or terrors. Not yet, anyway, but she was hoping she would just never have to deal with things like that.
Wouldn't that be nice?
"What have you been up to? Oh, it's so good to see you again!" She laughed and hurried up to Elpis, giving her a hug. After all, this was the first senshi she met, and one of the best friends she had made so far. At least, in her mind, that was what they were.
And why not? They were learning together, and helping each other, and Elpis was very nice! So Sinistra could at least hope they were friends, if not best friends. She would just keep that extra title to herself, maybe. She blushed just thinking about it, feeling silly.

Elpis beamed, picking her up in the hug and spun once. Elpis was particularly fond of Sinistra, and wanted the younger sister safe, and to learn what she needed to remain so, and she gave her a proud expression happily. "I'm glad. I've been keeping quiet myself, buuuut..." And Elpis winked. "I visited my homeworld since we talked last!" The Senshi grinned. "Definaitely not an area I knew existed in space, too. Have you?" If not, it was alright - but Elpis wanted Sinistra to try someday.

Sinistra laughed when she was hugged, surprised but delightfully so.
The whole senshi thing was really letting her experience more than she had ever imagined. Not just on the super powered front, but on the whole 'being a social person' thing, too. She had never had so many friends, nor made them so quickly, before in her life. She was so used to being the kid in the corner, studying and not worrying about things like friends, it was strange and wonderful to learn what she had been missing.
It had never occurred to her before! Now she wished she had been less socially awkward through school, and maybe spoke to more people. Made more friends.
"You did? Oh that must have been amazing! What was it like?! Did you learn anything about it?! I haven't been to mine yet, but I am trying! Oh, what did you see there? Please tell me what it looks like!"

"Little bit." Elpis smiled a bit. "Mostly looked around. Nobody was up there, so for sure, you want to bring someone to visit with you if you dislike quiet, if your world is like mine at all.... Just to be safe, too, in case it's not." Elpis nodded. "I landed in a field of flowers. They looked like really vibrant tulips or slightly bent stems, but they were roklike bumping my leg. There were ruins, too. Whomever lived up there apparently used wood and stone, I think. Held some frescoes in a building. It was different." Harder to describe past that - were they other cities? Plants, fields? She wondered, and looked thoughtful, looking up. "Next time I go up, I ight take others with m. See if they notice something I miss."

"Oh, there's no one there?"
Sinistra was not sure what she was expecting, but hearing that there was no one on the planet with them when they visited it was a little disappointing. Planet... star... whatever it was. Homeworld. In any case, she thought it would be like visiting a new world, and that there would be people there to explain things to her, and all that. Aliens or something.
Who knew?
But apparently it was ruins and abandoned... that seemed sad. And potentially very dusty.
"I would love to visit with you some time, if you would like! And maybe by then I'll have visited my own homeworld, and could take you there some time, in return. Those plants do sound interesting!"

"I'd certainly like to take people." Elpis grinned. "And I'd love to see yours, too." Elpis thought a moment, thinking. "I know there had to be people at some point, at least. The buildings looked handmade, and so did the art. Didn't get a good look though. So it's possible there's writing, but no way to understand it." A pity, but if she found an illuminated manuscript or child's picture book - well, who knew what she might do with them?....Who was she kidding, she'd hoard them for the pictures.

Sinistra was a little worried now about what she might find on her homeworld, but it also just made her more curious to go. If it was quiet and empty, but still pretty and with lots to see, that might be even better than what she was imagining.
She was terrible with people, after all, so the fewer she had to deal with, the better. Large social settings were the worst for her, and she would likely just shut down completely and go hide in a corner if faced with it.
It was probably better for the place to be empty.
"It sounds lovely. So it's an old place, and there's no one there any more. Of I bet there is so much to learn! It's like a dream. I hope mine is the same way! I love studying things, and having my own little... archeological treasure trove sounds exciting!"

"At least you can't be yelled at for studying anything religious on accident." Elpis laughed, grinning. "In fairness though, I might be disappointed if it was primative. After all, we're looking at a world with no people, from an unknown time. I also wonder why satellite images don't detect this." Elpis frowned, musing some. "Well, at least it's not full of youma." THAT was a releif really. She could do without Youma.

"I guess it's some sort of magic. I mean, before I powered up, I didn't even know what was going on in my own town, much less in space. I imagine it must be very hard to keep track of things like this!"
She was sure they would have heard it in the news more, after all, if there were discoveries like that being made. Or would it be kept from them? There were a lot of secrets, and people believed in conspiracy theories. She had always regarded them with a scholarly curiosity but not given them much credence. But what if Area 51 was not filled with alien stuff, but senshi stuff?
That was an interesting thought. But one for another time.
At the mention of youma, Sinistra shuddered.
"Oh, if there are youma I don't think I could deal with that. I really don't like them. I've met a couple now, the real mean ones, and I am... not interested in meeting any more. They're just monsters!"

"Dunno, it's all still unknowns, but magic must be right. I learned only because I met a guy involved. Friend of mine. It kind of went weird from there." Elpis chuckled. If not for meeting Helicon online ears ago, she'd never reecounter him to learn. Although Canopus... She was less sure. Stil, Elpis hummed thoughtfully before nodding. "I didn't see youma, luckily, but it might do us good to sweep our homeworlds with others." Elpis admitted slowly. "Make sure they're clear and safe. If so, we can travel as often as we can and be able to have space to think at least. Study at our leisure." Elpis just hoped her vision didn't swim again, but kept that unvoiced for the moment.

"Well, I'm very much looking forward to visiting mine then! I hope I can go soon! I don't want to fall too far behind, you know. I consider you my mentor, so I am doing what I can to keep up!"
She smiled brightly, being very honest and only noticing it was a kind of silly thing to say out loud afterwards.
"Uhm. I mean, if that's okay. I don't want to make it seem like I'm copying you, or trying to compete with you, or anything like that! I just meant... well. You were the first person I met after powering up and I really just want to... uhm..."
Her eyes fell to the ground, her face turning red from ear to ear, even all the way down her neck. She was wringing her hands together, and the strain of social interaction was catching up to her. Bonding with people was so difficult. She just wanted to run and hide.
"Make you proud."

Elpis was genuinely surprised a moment, before smiling warmly and gently reached, nudging Sinistra to look at her softly. "I don't mind. I'm honored you think of me that way as long as we're still friends. I'm learning every day too, even if I'm just learning routes." Elpis was admittedly surprised, but pleasantly so, feeling a sort of big-sisterly protectiveness. "Sinistra? I know you'll make me proud. You do your very best, in a difficult position, and that's all anyone can ever genuinely ask of you. And I'm proud of you for doing your best. I mean it." The smile remained on Elpis' face fondly. "I know you'll be great."
