"You there!" He called out to a woman nearby who stood out solely because of her bright flame of hair. "Catch!" He grinned, throwing towards her a bag stocked full of food. He himself had one already slung over his shoulder, as he stood near a saddled up and ready to go horse, with another standing nearby. "Now come with me!" "Wha---AH!" The redhead shrieked as she looked up just in time to see the shadow of the bag above her. Flailing arms reached out and by some miracle caught it before it could spill all over the ground.
"I'm not going anywhere with you." She protested, adjusting her hold on the bag of food, keeping it safe as her new captive and leverage. All the while, she did not move an inch, being true to her promise. "I don't even know your name."

Wrath let out a throaty chuckle at the woman's protests, bright teeth flashing in a grin on a darkly tanned face. "It is Wrath, dear lady, and we are to go on a quest for the King himself! You should be honored~ Now come! Saddle up! The journey may be long and treacherous." He seemed entirely too pleased and excited by that notion. The redhead squinted up at him, her face pinching as she weighed her options. Then, finally, she shrugged.
"Well, alright. As long as you promise not to kill me." She conceded quickly, her earlier fuss a thing in the distant past. For the first time since he called out to her, she listened and obeyed, enlisting the help of a nearby horse to help their journey. Well, to help her on her journey. "You have an angry sounding name, you know that right?"
Once she was settled, she hummed thoughtfully. "Where are we going, anyway?"

"Excellent!" He smiled, apparently quite the cheerful sort, boosting himself up into the saddle while she found a mount of her own. "Your company is appreciated. We will have a better chance of at least one of us surviving through this ordeal to see it through to it's completion. He let out another chuckle, then. "Ah, yes, so I have been told." He reached up to stroke at the beard on his face. "It is but a nickname, so you may imagine as you wish as to how I received it!" Another large grin, and a wink sent her way, before he spurred his horse into movement. "We are on a quest, as I said, to retrieve the Greater Gauntlet of the Armadillo Lizard!" He declared, before rummaging in his jacket with one hand. "Here, I have this map which will guide us on our journey!" Everything he said with booming enthusiasm, it seemed. ------- There was a distant buzzing, but will all of his happy, quite incessant chatter along the way (though he did not seem to have a single important thing to say, he definitely found a lot to talk about), he did not hear it. Not until it was directly upon him, at least. With a startled sound, and with a horse that was suddenly out of it's mind with panic, Wrath was sent hurtling towards the ground, his horse bolting back towards the castle, with a swarm of bee's in hot pursuit. Groaning, he flipped over onto his back and lay there, staring up at the sky. And then he suddenly sat back up, pushing himself to his feet. "That was quite unfortunate! Shall we continue, then?" It appeared he had no problem at all with walking, at least. Quote: Rolling a 3: You accidentally ride into a bees nest. BEEEEES. Your horse runs away, making it extremely hard on you. She laughed, not at all actually concerned about his violent name and whatever methods he had used to obtain it. Though, the more she thought about it, the more she had to laugh to herself over the various and overly ridiculous options her mind was supplying for her. Ooh, good times.
"Sounds like fun! Lead the way, Oh Angry One!"

Chatter was nice. Chatter was fantastic, actually; Wrath had a lot to say, even if it was a lot of nothing. It helped the journey go by easily...

Until, of course, her horse slipped. It's hooves clattered on the breaking edge of the cliff, and somehow, some way, they survived. She managed to get her horse back onto the trail, mostly in one piece, save for some food that had toppled out of her bag.
Damnit.
"My GOD that was horrifying!" The redhead chattered, her whole body shaking with the leftover adrenaline, her hands gripping the reins so tightly her knuckles blanched.
She then tried to stay as far away from any ledge she could, indefinitely.

Woops! Wrath watched the near catastrophe with a mostly bemused expression, for some reason not too worried about the lady (what was her name again? Had he even asked?) who had nearly fallen off of the cliffs edge. When she found herself righted again, he took long strides to catch up to her, a smile still on his face. "Are you okay, m'lady?" He asked, and since his hands were now free, he moved to remove his war hammer from his belt, flipping it over in his hand again and again with ease, though the weapon itself was quite large and appeared to be quite heavy. With his free hand, he rummaged around in his sack of food, and for quite a while as he marched along, ate as if his stomach had no bottom. Suddenly, a giant spider landed in front of him from a tree branch above. Startled (but NOT scared) he dropped the large hunks of cheese and bread that he had been gnawing away on, a step taken back as he righted his hammer in his hand, ready to go on the attack! But before he could SMASH, the spider scurried off back into the brush. Disappointment etched his features briefly. "Drat." Suddenly, a spider.
Hattie squeaked as Wrath fussed about it, and after their previous jaunt near the cliff's edge, it was safe to say her horse was not pleased with this suddenly loud turn of events either. It bucked, kicking her off of him, and took off without looking back.
One spider had lost her a horse. Damnit. Hattie lay on the ground where she had fallen, only rolling to sprawl onto her back to look at the sky. Today sucked. Life was hard. But their quest wasn't over. She pulled herself back to her feet, found the pack of food the horse had thankfully dropped, and made her way to her large new friend.
"You okay buddy?" She pat him on the back, lamenting the fact they both had to walk now.

He was fine, and told her as much before they continued on their way. Wrath was still eating a lot. Probably needed the energy and sustenance due to his size. At least the eating meant less talking. Nope, actually he even talked with his mouth full. He just never shut up, ever. After what felt like forever, they reached the mountains, the trail leading them inside. Wrath went first, and promptly set off a booby trap, one that hailed arrows down on him while he ducked and dodged and let out yelps of pain for those that struck their mark, though the thick leather of his attire did at least keep him alive (if not now fairly bloodied). "I believe it is safe for you now!" He called back to what's her name. What a stand up guy, taking the hits like that for her. The mountains yielded…well, not an awful lot at first. Until the arrows, of course. Wrath ran to dodge them, snaking his way this way and that, and Hattie hid, waiting for the danger to pass. When it did, and when he called for safety, she waited an extra few seconds before standing up. As she came out of hiding, the worst happened: she also stepped on a trap. She threw her arms up, expecting more arrows, but when none came she seemed rather perplexed. her arms lowered slowly, her blue eyes peeling open to peek at the sky. Nothing.
Something brushed her ankle.
Hattie turned and look, and spotted…snakes. Of course there were snakes. With a rather high pitched shriek she bolted, chased by the slithering creatures, and when running wasn't enough to lose them she decided the next best course of action: she jumped onto Wrath, arms locking around his neck, body curled as she held her legs and torso up in a princess carry that was all but an actual carry.
She held onto her slightly taller saviour, not giving him the option of letting her go, and eventually the snakes left, disinterested in their prey. Still she clung onto him, a pouting mess of an apprentice, and waited until the last of the snakes had vanished.
"...I'm fine." She informed him, her voice loud and proud, as if she hadn't just clung to him like a young lady facing a mouse.

The snakes were a surprise, but for some reason left Wrath alone completely as the woman with no name at all by this point ran around like a chicken with her head cut off. Smiling bemusedly once more, the hulking man followed along the path, limping more than slightly from his wounds, but in no way seemingly worried about the young woman's safety. Until, of course, she flung herself onto his back. At that point, there was actually a great bit of danger that he might fall over backwards on top of her and crush her beneath his weight. Letting out a "Hrk!" like sound, he did stumble back a couple of steps, nearly colliding into a stone wall. Several snakes were likely smushed beneath his boots in the process. Every wound he had garnered from the arrows only moments before burned and ached in protest as he set himself to rights, straining to stay on his own two feet. "That is very good, M'lady. Very good indeed! I am quite glad to hear it!" He grinned then, but it was strained as well, as he wondered if he was now going to have to carry her the rest of the way. Please no. Please no. Thankfully, she dismounted, and they were able to continue on their way, making it through the rest of the mountain without further assault from snakes or arrows or any other sort of booby trap. Once outside, it was only a matter of a climb, and once Wrath reached the top, there lay an artifact. And an old man who decided to give him some food, which Wrath thanked him for quite gratefully, eating it with great vigor, not even giving a single thought towards foul play or poison as he was just so very hungry.
