Rae was certainly in need of some new armor. What she had arrived in wasn't exactly in the best condition and what was free to pass around wasn't really all that much better to begin with. What she needed to do, was go on a quest, turn in something to the King, and get a reward.

Luckily, she wasn't the only one that needed the rewards. The thought of heading out alone and proving herself wasn't exactly appealing, so she was going to 'allow' Heather, the Apprentice she just happened to run into before hand, to tag along with her. How nice of her to do that. Truly an embodiment of her Golden path.

"I think I'll be going after the Leggings of the Lynx..." She had the appropriate materials to head out on their adventure. But first things first, she needed to stop by and get some food to take along on the journey, then it was tiny to pony up and head on out.
