Aiden grinned as he walked up to the Guild Master, ready to go on a quest to start proving he had what it takes to be a true Knight. He could see Makayla in the corner of his eye and it made his excitement grow. Sure he had just meet her but from what he had seen so far she was pretty, smart, and judging by how she walked, a skilled Knight Apprentice. He shifted his attention away from her to the Guild Master waiting behind a desk. "Hello, we would like a quest please." He said, grin getting slightly bigger. "Very well, which would you like to go on to recover; 'Greater Gauntlet of the Tiger', or 'Greater Leggings of the Pegasus'?" Aiden paused before answering and turned to raise an eyebrow at his companion. "What do you think?" Both would be dangerous and he didn't have any preference of which to go after as either one would be a good step forward should they retrieve it. Makayla had only met Knight Aiden shortly after pledging to help Camelot, so she was surprised when he asked her to join on a quest. Agreeing, she smiles as she looks over the maps for a brief moment then looks to him "The Gantlets of the Tiger sound promising. How about that one?" she smiles to him as she takes her food supply. She knew it would be a dangerous trip, so she took as much as she could carry.
Packing her bag, she slips it over her arm before she turns her attention to Aiden "Ready whenever you are my friend."

Aiden nodded and took the scroll of information on the quest from the Guild Master. "Sounds good to me." He picked up his food supply after that. The red eyed man then turned to her with a smile and offered his arm. "Shall we then?" he asked cheerfully. "We'll have to stop by the stables first to pick up our horses of course." He said then got a curious look on his face. "Do you have a horse or are you going to borrow one for the quest?" He asked, thinking back to his Destrier, a horse named Souji that he brought with him when he came to be a knight. QUEST STATUS Food remaining: 48/48 YOUR HP: 30/30 (111w)

Makayla smiles as she slips her arm into his offered one, walking along side him as she shakes her head "I will have to borrow one sadly. My horse didn't make it out of the village." she frowns as she thought of her Courser. A beautiful young mare that she named Liyu. Tugging at a strand of hair, she turns her green eyes back towards Aiden "Thank you, for allowing me to join you on this quest." she had been planning on going on a few quest by herself.
Though now she had company, and while she wouldn't admit it out loud...

"I'm sorry to hear that. I didn't get one until after I left mine." Aiden said and gave her a sympathizing look. "You are quite welcome, and thank you for joining me. I wasn't looking forward to going by my self for my first quest." He would have done so if he needed but he was very glad he didn't. Being alone would have sucked compared to having a beautiful companion with him. It didn't take them very long to get to the stables and he looked around for his black horse, smiling when he saw him. "There he is." He said to himself then looked at Makayla. "Would you like any help with a horse?" He asked politely. Makayla remains quiet as she looks over the beautiful black horse. Her hand carefully reaching out to brush over his neck before she closes her eyes. A small sad smile forms as she thought of her village. As quick as that sadness was there, it was gone as she turns her eyes back to Aiden. Turning her body, she face him as she nods "Please...that would be lovely actually." she brush her hand over the horse again before finally stepping away.
Glancing over the horses in the stable, she wasn't sure which to choose. Her own was chosen for her as well. So she was grateful that Aiden was willing to help her.

Aiden watched her give the sad smile and felt something in him that wanted to try to help make the sadness go away. When she stepped away from Souji he instinctively held his hand out for her. "I'm not sure, it could be a while though." He looked around at the horses, eying them as if trying to decide on their temperaments just by looking. Finally his eyes settled on another Destrier. Stepping up to the horse, Makayla holds her hand out towards it. It took a couple of seconds before she was allowed to pet the stallion. A smile forming as she steps closer to him then looks to Aiden "I think he likes me." she chuckles as she nods "Yes, I think he will work out just fine for our quest.." with her hand still holding onto Aiden's, she felt a warmth run through her she didn't expect.
Pulling her hand free, she clears her throat before she steps away from the stallion "Should we be on our way?" she had to keep her mind from wondering to the fact Aiden was making her feel calm, and rather different.
She couldn't explain it.

Aiden smiled, happy that she was happy. "Yes, lets get them saddled up and ready to go." It didn't take long for the two to saddle up and start on their journey. Unfortunately for Aiden, somehow he managed to get sick before they got very far. "I'm sorry to have to leave you like this." He said as he swayed on Souji, getting ready to return to the castle. "I hope the quest goes better for you and maybe we can try again another time?" He said with a pained smile. He really hated having to leave her one her own but he didn't have a choice. "Stay safe." Saddled up and ready to go, Makayla follows Aiden down the path until he suddenly fell ill on her. She wanted to go help him, but now she felt like she owed it to him to finish the quest he asked her to join. Watching as he returned to Camelot, she turns her attention back down the path. brushing the hair on her stallion, she smiles "Come on..." she clicks her tongue as they continue to move.
The path seem to take forever, and while she was content, she was also very worried, Her eyes darting around, in search for wild animals or shadows. Honestly, she thought she would be in the clear, and able to continue when she heard it in front of her, a growl from a wild dog.
Her eyes going wide as she tries to calm the horse. She could see the dog was rabid, which could mean danger for her.
Carefully backing the horse up, she glance around only to spy out of the corner of her eye as the dog leaps and tears at the flesh of her calf. Kicking the dog hard, she takes off down the path as it comes open, hoping to lose the dog as she force the horse to take off in a gallop.QUEST STATUS Food remaining: 27/27 YOUR HP: 20/30

Moving into the forest, she finally allows herself and the stallion to slow down as she glance back. With the dog out of sight, she breaths as she slips down from the saddle. Her eyes taking in the area as she frowns for w brief moment. The forest seem to go on for forever, and she couldn't see an end to it.
Moving, she chose not to climb back on the horse. Instead she walk along side of it, which ended up being a mistake on her part. The horse grew restless the deeper they moved into the woods, which caused it to run from her.
Scared, she kept moving until she finally found herself out of the woods. near the edge was her horse. She frown as she move to it, and found her food supply low.
Turning her eyes tot he horse, she frowns "I will not fail...understand." grabbing its reigns, she continues.QUEST STATUS Food remaining: 22/27 YOUR HP: 20/30

As she entered the mountain with her horse, it reared back and instead took off the other way back to the forest. Grabbing the bag of food that snapped off, she sighs as she see what little she had left "Please last me through this mountain."
Turning, she swallows as she decides to finish this quest...

Makayla couldn't believe it, she finally reach the summit of the mountain. Dropping to her knees, she wrapped her arm around her stomach as she tries to ignore the hunger. She felt that even with her finally reaching the rare artifact, she wasn't getting back to Camelot.
It was then she heard a strange voice of a man stating he was a wizard. her eyes darting to the man as he hands her food and leaves. She couldn't help but blink a few times before quickly taking a few bites as she stores the rest in her bag.
Reaching for the Greater Gauntlets of the Tiger, she looks at them for a moment as she shakes her head "Aiden probably would have like these." she sighs as she slips them also into her bag and quickly takes off back down the mountain to get back to Camelot.
And she wanted to make sure Aiden was alright.QUEST STATUS Food remaining: 12/27 YOUR HP: 20/30 Greater Gauntlet of the Tiger obtained!
