- ■ HEADSTRONG Once she's put her mind to it, it's going to be done, broken bones be damned. She hates when people say they're going to do something but back out at the last minute. To her, people who go back on their word are lower than scum.
■ INQUISITIVE She loves figuring out how things work or tick and she especially loves taking things apart just to put them back together. They may not work the exact same way but that's just part of the fun.
■ SLY She's a cunning individual who's used to getting what she wants. This may seem rather bratty and spoiled and while she's far from it, she's knows how to use her guile or even subtly manipulate into getting primarily whatever it was she wanted.
■ PATIENT It's a trait not many have that Gia uses to her advantage. She can sit for hours working one problem or puzzle or even worse, she can sit in wait after she's been wronged planning the perfect revenge.
■ FREE THINKER It's more that she thinks outside the box, or rather just ignores that there was such a box, than she is a "free thinker." Why would she waste brain potential imagining a box or trying to follow someone else's plans or thoughts when she could demolish it all and build or think whatever the hell she wants?!
■ NEUTRAL Right and wrong, left and right, good and evil, blahblahblah it all meant the same thing to her. They were trying to box her in and make her believe and follow some "one size fits all" philosophy and she just doesn't roll that way. As far as she's concerned, every person she meets is a blank slate until they do something to raise their worth or piss her off. She pretty much has the same ideal with politics choosing to pick and choose the policies she supports rather than aligning herself with just one party or person.

- CHILDHOOD Gianna Donati is the product of Celio Donati and Rebecca Norton lovemaking. Point blank period. Her father is an Italian inventor and had been visiting Great Britain for a convention when he met her mother who was barista at the coffee shop nearest his hotel. It wasn't really love at first sight, more lust at first sight wink but what can you do? They continued their tryst until it was time for him to return and (surprise of all surprises) he receives an e-mail from her saying she was pregnant and he was the father. She didn't make enough money to be able to fly out to Italy and he barely made enough to keep the lights on let alone fly a pregnant woman out, so he sold his small flat, took all his money from his bank and left his home and family in Italy to live with and eventually marry the woman who six and a half months later gave birth to a daughter named Gianna Shay Donati. They lived together happily (horribly in debt but happily) for about five years until tragedy struck. No one died, her mother just up and left her in the park with a note pinned to her school backpack. Her father found her there a few hours later after receiving a call from the police and they went home and never spoke of it. She found the note a few years later in her dad's desk and it basically read that she had gotten her fill of family life and wanted to travel. Why she felt the need to leave her only child in a public area instead of maybe just not picking her up from school that day. Either way, it was just her and her dad from then on. They moved out their home (he said for smaller bills, she knows it because of memories) and they ended up getting a good deal on a house near the waters. Her father opened a small repair shop and managed a small but healthy business and she got to help out whenever she could. Which was basically every day. About a year or so after her mother left odd things began to happen. She could make light bulbs light up by only touching them and she summoned a tool when it was out of her reach. On her eleventh birthday the weirdest thing yet happened in which an owl came and delivered a letter saying she's been invited to this magical boarding school. Honestly she thought it was a bunch of hooey but her dad had been intrigued, especially when the letter stated someone would come by and introduce her to this "magical world." True to the letter's word, if it could have one, a man came by a few days later to take her to get her school supplies with her dad tagging along. She was amazed at all magic could and apparently couldn't do as was her father and she was sure the Hogwarts governor (for that's what he called himself) was a bit perturbed by both of their wide eyed glee at being able to carry fire in jars without burning themselves and especially transfiguration. Potions she wasn't as interested in but she liked the concept. The only thing that sucked about this wondrous world was the lack of electricity. Anyway, the months ticked by and soon September first arrived and she was on her way to a new way of life.
SCHOOL YEARS
- FIRST YEAR Gia wasn't all that surprised she ended up in Slytherin after reading about the house's recognizable traits figuring she'd end up either there or in Ravenclaw. She was surprised to find like-minded individuals in the house that she's actually comfortable enough to call friends.
SECOND YEAR It seemed that while Lori had managed to gain them another ally in their course of castle exploration, she also managed to procure an intern of sorts from Ravenclaw. He's a bit...odd, but he's at least got a decent head on his shoulders, which is a lot more than she could say for others in her house. She also spent part of the year wondering which classes she would be taking as electives, noting that none of them also managed to point out the huge flaw in their magical world of NO FREAKING ELECTRICITY.
THIRD YEAR The year rather started out to a bad start. First of all during the summer she grew these..things that were rather noticeable especially by those of the male gender. She then had a spat with her friend Carver about them on the actual train ride to school which lasted a few weeks in the beginning of the school year. She eventually apologized, even if she still denies being at fault.
FOURTH YEAR This year was rather boring outside of puberty once again rearing it's ugly neanderthal head. She had unfortunately developed more than friendly feelings for a certain male friend of hers which was completely uncalled for. Just. no.
FIFTH YEAR Despite the whirlwind of studying for her OWL's and placing bets on her best friend's love life she actually managed to find one of her own. Disturbing but she was content.
SIXTH YEAR Was boring what with Lori making eyes at Zeph, Zeph making eyes at Lori and Carver being a general pain in her arse. Oh not that way you perv.
