◆Others See Her Shy and quiet. Others come across her as shy and gullible. She seems almost too trusting. Quiet and always by herself. It's like she's an outcast. She doesn't make friends very easily because of this.
◆Deep Down Shayna is actually very energetic and loving. She doesn't know when to quit and likes to talk. She is supportive and out going, especially when it comes to her friends. If her friends are in trouble, she is the first one to be there to help.
◆Pre-Journey Shayna was born in Slateport, Hoenn. Her mother and father owned a boat, and would take people touring. One day, they were just enjoying each other's company when a storm came upon them. Her mother and father tied her securely to the mast, and themselves as well. But a wave tossed her overboard and the rope snapped. It was almost like it was bitten clean off. The girl felt like she had been dragged down to the bottom. Seeing large glowing eyes in the dark, the young girl fought to stay up or at least to the surface but she couldn't fight it. That was when she heard a splash and looked up to see her mother swimming quickly towards her. Eyes frantic, Shayna was losing the battle to stay conscious. It was getting so dark and so cold. Her mom got to her just as she lost conscious. The last memories she has of her mom, is that the woman untied her and sent her to the surface. She opened her eyes later, her father crying and she was laying in a hospital bed. She doesn't know what happened, only what her father says happened next. That she floated to the surface, and there was no sign of her mother. She was lucky to even be alive.
Then, when Shayna was finally let out of the hospital, her father moved them to Lavaridge. The boat was sold and they moved within days. She grew up in Lavaridge. Only remembering the softness that was the water's embrace and the emptiness of a missing mother. She took to helping in the gym, with Flannery. And became Flannery's biggest fan. She could tell you the ins and outs of that gym. Ever since the incident, almost every night Shayna is plagued with nightmares.
◆On The Road Again Shayna started in Professor Birch's lab and claimed a Torchic which she named Carter. She left the lab with Carter and soon ran into a Growlithe and an Eevee, the Growlithe begging for her to help the Eevee. She caught the Growlithe and named him Ryan and ran to Oldale town. After helping the Eevee she named her Sapphire. She went to Petalburg soon after to look for a Ralts and ran into a Poochyena. She caught the Poochyena and named him Chris. After a quick nap, Shayna ran into a Seedot and caught it. Naming it Yukinari. After quite a lot of searching and battling, she finally found a Ralts and named him Minato. She soon left Petalburg city for their namesake woods. She battled several Wurmples, before the weather turned nasty. After a few moments of trying to get out of the sudden Thunderstorm, she found a different pokemon. One she had never witnessed before. Thundurus... She had run into a legendary, so soon into her journey. And it was shiny! After a harrying battle, she caught him. And named him Haruto. And shortly after she caught the legendary, a Celebi showed herself to her, and asked for her help. She needed help defeating a pokemon that might destroy the world. She sent Minato to help. She didn't know it would take a very long time before she saw Minato once more.
Shortly after a quick lunch break, Shayna found a group of pokemon who were wary of her. A plusle, Fennekin, and Gothita. She did some convincing and they finally gave her a chance. She smiled as she welcomed Kairi the Plusle, Ren the Fennekin and Yuzuki the Gothita. She took a bit more time to herself before running into Zero and Grey. She talked with them for awhile until Grey made his slip and left while they were fighting wild pokemon. Soon another girl arrived in the forest absolutely terrified. Audrey was her name and she had a bunch of Eeveelutions. After talking with Zero and Audrey awhile, Carter evolved without battling, and Zero asked two girls named Lucie and Ava. Both seemed to know what they were talking about and gave good answers but had to leave. The they met Isis. Shortly after meeting Isis they met another girl named Alice and decided to head on to Rustboro, ISis got lost on the way. Zero, Shayna and Isis won their first badge and were introduced to a race. She challenged Isis and they went off their seperate ways. Shayna got all the badges til Flannery's and then continued with just looking around.
When she got to the Kalos region she met David who was from Johto. She traveled with him a bit before they went to a fair with Isis and Zero. Eventually they rode a ferris wheel together and ended up liking each other very much and became an item. They traveled some more together until they got back to Johto to help David get more badges, when they were invited to a ball. But the ball was a trap, Himari, Shayna's Lucario was stolen and turned into a zombie. She had never cried so much in her life. They did their best and broke the spell on the mansion they were in and were set free. She was taken back to Violet City, and met with another trainer's Darkrai. And when she finally woke up... Well... David hadn't returned from the ball after several weeks. She looked high and low, called... And couldn't get ahold of him. She found his parents but they didn't know. Heart-Broken, the teenager decided to take her own life. Letting all of her pokemon go. But none left, they prevented her from doing so and erased David from her memories. With the help of an Espurr that had been forced into helping. Shayna awoke with an empty heart in her room in Laverre town. She doesn't know why she is so sad... But she has her friends in her pokemon...

Shayna loves to read. Loves to learn different things and this normally comes from reading. From books about plants, to books about pokemon, she has read it or will.
✔Exploring
Shayna loves to explore. Find things that are normally not disturbed. One of her favorite spots in her home town is in the mountain pass above it.
✔Water
Having grown up in Slateport, Shayna loves anything to do with water. Playing in it, the pokemon, anything and everything. She just doesn't like storms.
✔Flowers
Shayna loves nature. Her father used to call her flower because she was as innocent and sweet as a flower. So she has always liked plants.
✔Flannery
After moving to Lavaridge, Flannery became her idol. The gym leader became her mother figure. The only woman in her life for several years.

✖Solitary type trainers
She believes you can't enjoy the differences of pokemon if you only use one type. It just doesn't work for anyone.
✖Possessiveness
Shayna won't be considered as an item. She isn't someone's possession. The same goes for Pokemon. They should be friends. Not items NOR weapons. They are friends...
✖Storms
Shayna hates storms. She has nightmares about one every night. She is frightened of them and hates them. There is no competition for what she dislikes the most. And part of that is she doesn't like to seem weak.

Shayna likes to have fun. She doesn't like not having fun and being bored. She wants to have fun. She doesn't want to be bored.
◆Skills Shayna can sketch very well. Really very well. She can also see clearly through most conflict.
◆Weaknesses Shayna is terrified of storms. And she can't control her want of exploration.
