She was starting to worry... The buffalo that had taken up residence in the pride's jungle patch were becoming testy with the heat, even with summer drawing to a close. They'd made no move, though, to leave - Why would they stay so long? The wave-marked lioness paced, then sat down, staring into the trees. There was the flash of a horn, then the buffalo was gone, vanishing into the thick foliage. Dimbwi groaned, but didn't go in. She'd have to keep the cubs out of there! The word would have to be sent out to the rest of the pride... Keep the cubs clear of the trees.

Asho yawned, having been busy most of the night patching up injuries and tending to sick cubs with his father's help. He was still relieved that he could say that, or even think that. His father was alive, when they'd lost so many.
He rubbed his eyes, heading around the edge of the jungle towards home. That was when he spotted the lioness. He had seen her around, though he didn't really know her. Cub sitter? Something like that? He wasn't sure, he had been so frazzled lately. She did, however, look worried about something.
"Are you alright?" He asked, not wanting to startle her.
