In the days of knights, castles, dragons, princes, princesses and kingdoms that ruled the land, there was a land that is cursed a bit. The curse that plagues the village is that when the princess is taken from the kingdom or leaves for a long period of time. If she is gone too long, both her and the kingdom becomes sick, the foliage and plants die out, some of the people become sick, and the kingdom goes into ruins. One day, a witch broke into the kingdom, she had a hated of it, she kidnaps the princess and planed to let her and the kingdom suffer but when the princess is taken, her top knight goes after her, with a battalion of other knights. They reach the witch's tower and find that it is surrounded by creatures summoned by the witch. The knights fight to save the princess. They fight their way to the tower, only a couple of knights remain but the princess's head knight made it to the top of the tower, bloody, injured and close to death but nothing was going to stop him from saving his princess. He then strikes at the witch, cutting across her torso, she wailed but as a last resort, she cast a spell that opened a portal under the knight, making him fall through time, ending up in the future. The princess was saved and returned to the kingdom but she was gone so long that the kingdom did suffer and it took a while to bring it back. The knight is still injured when he awakens in a city, surrounded by so many strange things that he would never believe but then he meets a girl that helps him, but will he realize that she is the descendant of the princess that he was to protect and of the princess that he loved...

Lance was dedicated to being a knight, he had been friends with the princess most of his life, having fallen in love with her but he never went close to tell her his true feelings. He just guarded her, taking the oath that he would keep her safe all her life but feels guilty that he failed her in what he did.

Lance was rushing up the stairs to the tower, he was bleeding and cuts were scattered across his torso and arms, but he tried to hold his sword as he broke through a door at the top of the tower. He looked into the chamber, seeing the princess chained to a wall, but then he saw the witch, "Vile hag, you shall be slain by my blade this very second!" he said lifting his sword up and prepared to attack. The witch laughed but she lifted her hand to stop his blade only to have him turn the blade and slash at her torso. She gasped in pain but then coughed up black blood before sputtering one last spell. A bright light formed under Lance, which made him fall into the floor into the portal. The light had filled the room but as the witch fell to the ground, the light disappeared and Lance was gone. A couple of knights rushed up into the room, finding the witch slain but Lance to be missing. They took the princess back to the kingdom, it had suffered slightly but years went by, the princess and the kingdom awaited the night that saved her but he never was seen or heard of again, legends of him passed down from the princess through her family. (A fairy tale that Zoey could know >w<)

~Many years later (928 basically)~
In place of the village that use to thrive, a tall city stood in its place, the old castle had been in ruins over the years but the city was build around it. The castle had been renovated after being bought by the city, all of its artifacts and items found inside, displayed for those to see. The castle was turned into a museum for people to walk through and see the lives of those of the villages past. A park was built around the old witches tower that was close by (at least a miles from the castle...) but it had been abandoned, said to have been cursed. One day, one a clear day, their was a bright flash of light that shined from old and broken windows at the top. Standing in the center of the dusty old room, stood the wounded knight, he looked around holding his side with one hand, the other on his black blood covered sword but he looked around breathing heavily, "Where... where is that horrid witch!?" He breathed heavy as he was injured badly.

Lance looked around at the dusty room confused, holding his side as he was injured, what was left of his armor was damaged and such. When he looked around confused he heard the sound of a door and footsteps that seemed to come from the stairway. He was still wondering what was making all the noise that seemed to come from the village, 'Was it still under attack?' He thought to himself but as the door began to open he weakly raised his sword only to stare in shock at the woman. He found that it was a slightly younger woman but that she was the princess, or appeared to be, "Princess... Princess Evelyn?" He asked stepping towards her but after a few steps stumbled a bit, catching himself but ended up knelling, holding his side as blood dripped onto the dust covered floor. The name Princess Evelyn was the name of the daughter of the king from medieval times and her ancestor from the story her father use to tell her when she was younger.

Lance looked at her as she rushed to his side but he was still confused wondering what was going on but as she helped him, he used his sword to walk but he was weak and needed help, "Am... Amber... that can't be... Your princess Evelyn aren't you?" He asked as he tried to continue walking but before they got to far from the park he ended up getting to weak and ended up blacking out as he collapsed, dropping his sword.

The paramedics had soon arrived and had to remove some of his armor to be able to lift him as he moved and got him into the ambulance allowing her to come with him. They had collected the armor pieces as well but they soon took him to the hospital but found no ID and couldn't get the bloodwork to run a crosscheck match. They tried talking to Amber to ask if she knew who he was as they were able to stabilize his condition. Taking care of all of his wounds of unknown injury that they figured came from either blades or an unknown animal attack.

Lance was taken through the ER, they tended to his wounds, and soon he was laying in a bed. When they allowed her to enter when she could, he was laying in bed motionless. When he began to wake up, he looked around confused as he started to think about what was around him. He weakly lifted his arms as he looked up at the lights, "Is the roof gone?" He asked weakly, only use to candles and windows, but as he heard beeping he looked around seeing all the stuff around him, noticing the tube going into his arm, "What... what is this parasite?" He asked as he moved his arm to try pulling it out of his arm, his fingers fumbling with it due to the medicine he was given for his injuries.

Lance looked at the woman that had grabbed his arm but when he looked at her, he saw the woman from before, "Evelyn... no, you said that your Amber but it doesn't make sense, you look like he princess... and My name Lance Kesline, I am head knight to princess Evelyn and I was in the tower trying to slay the witch that kidnapped yo... I mean Evelyn." He said explaining why he was in the tower not realizing that she would see that he was the same knight named from the story and that it was how it ended when the knight disappeared after saving the princess from an evil witch.

Lance looked at her when she spoke, but he thought over what he had seen, "I had striked the witch leaving her bleeding, but when I was about to finish her off she had begun to chant a bit before suddenly a bright light came from her hand and I couldn't really move, I didn't know what was happening but when it faded which wasn't long, it felt like moments but I was in the tower but it was filled with dust and looked abandoned." He explained to her.
