Prompt The people of Tendaji seem to be settling in - and some in places far from their homeland. The tensions are high, and with the whispers of the Alkidike planning an offensive… well, some have been on edge and ready for a fight. Were the outsiders going to help their people when the time came to fight the extremist Alkidike? Most of the natives to the area had their doubts. An argument had broken out in the market, verbal at first, but it wasn’t long before it became a physical confrontation. This battle prompt will be resolved by rolling 1D100. xxxxxPrentice must roll 70-100 for success. xxxxxStage 2 must roll 60-100 for success. xxxxxStage 3 must roll 50-100 for success. xxxxxStage 4 must roll 40-100 for success. || Success will result in 50exp in addition to the versatile point || Failure will only allow for the versatile point credit.

The bruise on Karothdra’s face was still very much purple from the fight she’d had in the market place. Thankfully, her skin was dark enough that it went almost unseen except for the slight puffed up sensitive skin. Today she was out shopping for some new jewelry and was visiting one of the stands when someone pushed into her the stand and all the expensive jewelry feel to the ground. Karo apologized and glanced behind her as two individuals began to shout at each other. Sighing, she bent down to pick up some of the fallen jewelry. In her mind, the Oban was telling herself that she was not a guard yet and not to stick her nose into places it did not belong. The shouting was beginning to escalate when someone tripped over her and feel to the ground. The man had been one of the two shouting and the one who had previously pushed into her. When he got up he spotted her and began shouting at her. “You’re with him aren’t you!” “Who me? No I am not” Karothdra stood up quickly and quickly avoided the punch he aimed her way. The momentum carried him to bump into a nearby fire and water hybrid girl. “Listen, you need to stop this right now.”

She was minding her own business, something she even do all that often anymore. She had heard of all the fights that were happening lately, something dealing with tension and the bug women she had heard about, and she really wasn't in the mood to get into a fight herself. So when she heard tow people started to fight she didn't step in. Instead she started to help the shop keeper who's jewelry was all over the floor. Hopefully she would be rewarded with some piece of jewelry herself.
As she did things started to get louder, and one of the men tripped over another girl that was helping the shop keeper. Suddenly his attention was on the other girl and before she could even say anything there was a punch coming her way. Quickly she put her hands up to deflect it.
"What's wrong with you! We weren't doing anything, just cleaning up your mess. You should be thanking the two of us instead of attacking us." she snarled at the man.

“You’re all working together!” The man shouted. “Get her!” Karothdra glanced at the Hybrid with a questioning look. Her and Karo both did not look like the kind of girls that wanted to get into such fights. Though if he wanted a fight she was going to bring it to them! The problem was however, that the goon had called upon a few of his friends and the two girls were sorely out numbered. The man whom he had been fighting had also fled the scene now that attention had been diverted away from him. Karothdra narrowed her eyes, fight or flight?
“Can you fight?” She whispered to the girl in a quick hushed tone. Perhaps if the other girl could they could manage to untangle themselves from this mess. “Otherwise, we need to run.”

"How stupid are you?" she said with a frown. Why did this guy think they were with someone, and how was the smart move to come after them and not the original guy that was fighting. It was just her luck to get wrapped up in all of this. She should've just kept walking when the fight broke out.
When the Oban girl spoke she shook her head, looking at all the others that seemed like they were ready to come after them. She had started learning magic, but it wouldn't be enough to take down all these guys. "I could fight like one of them? Maybe two. I think running is our best idea though." she whispered back. They were closing in so if the girl agreed Eleina was ready to run.

This was no good, Karothdra could take on a few more but if the other girl could not there was no way they were going to get out of this alive. Karothdra inched back, watching the movements of the men that were coming towards them. She hated retreating like a coward, but she was going to remember their faces and she was going to make sure that there would be hell to pay for their actions. She didn’t know what kind of little rich punks they thought they were, but she was going to make sure this kind of thing did not happen again.
“Run!” Karo said as she began to turn around and run through the crowd. “Follow me!” They wouldn’t be far from the café she usually went to and they would be able to hide out there until they were not longer being followed. Hopefully the Hybrid girl could get through and follow her as they shoved through the crowd. She wouldn’t leave her behind, but she wasn’t slowing down either.

She was watching them men, doing the math in her head. Unless this girl was a lot stronger then she looked they were screwed. However she would let the other girl decide their move.
As soon as she heard Karothdra's words Eleina started running. She meant to leave the girls side, thinking they would be safer if they split up, but she really didn't have a plan as to where she would go. However when the girl told her to follow Eleina decided that that was a better idea then whatever she was going to do.
As they ran she kept looking back, noticing that the men were getting further and further away. "We're losing them!" she called up towards the other girl, not even stopping in stride.

The marketplace was full of people it would be easy for the two girls to slip through the crowd and disappear. Karo ran and only briefly looked back, she spotted a tight alleyway and turned in only to hear the girl say they weren't being chased anymore. Karothdra took in deep breaths of air trying to still her beating heart, she leaned back on the stone wall and wait a few moments to catch her breath before getting a good look at the girl.
“Well that was a close one. Are you okay?”She was going to kill them all.

When they stopped Eleina put her hands on her knees and took deep breaths. It wasn't that she was out of shape, but running for your life was very different from dancing around or playing with younglings.
When Karothdra spoke she realized she hadn't seen the other before. Or at least they hadn't had any big interaction that left the Oban on her memory. "Yea. Are you?"
She stood up straight. "What was their problem anyways? He was so mad, and for what? Men can be so stupid."

“I’m a little out of breath but I am well thank you.” Not only was she going to have their heads but so would her father. “I can assure you they certainly picked the wrong people to try and pick a fight with. When my father hears about this he’s going to be livid.” This kind of outlaw behavior was not acceptable within society; Karothdra had never seen this kind of attitude before. She blamed the increased traffic of outsiders within the capitol, made people do things they usually wouldn’t do. She’d have to speak to her father about perhaps increasing patrols in the marketplace.
“I don’t know.” Karothdra slowly turned to the girl and started laughing. “Indeed men are quite stupid.” It was almost like some sort of inside joke for her. “I am Karothdra.” The Oban bowed at the waist. “And you are?” She didn’t think she’d ever met the girl, granted she didn’t know that many Hybrids and the only one she knew very well was Khalel.

Her father? Eleina wondered who exactly she was standing with. Some noble perhaps? She knew her own parent's wouldn't be happy about the whole thing but they wouldn't do anything about it. They didn't have that kind of power. This girl looked pure, which meant her family could be anyone. She wanted to ask, but wasn't sure if that was considered rude or not.
"How rude of me. My name is Elenia. It's a pleasure to meet you Karothdra. I hope you got whatever you came looking for before they decided to drag us into their little fight." She hadn't gotten anything, but she really was looking more then planning on buying anything. She needed to save her money, but maybe the girl was searching for something. If so it should be safe to go back to the market soon. The men should be gone, at least she hoped they would be. They might still be searching. "Do you think they would've kept following us?"

“As it so happens, that is not the cause.” She’d needed something new for an upcoming event and had been looking at a particular piece when she’d gotten interrupted. She wasn’t particularly keen on returning to the marketplace without first speaking with her father, maybe she’d drag one of her brother along and see how that went. Or maybe her mother wouldn’t let her out again unless she had a guard or something. Karothdra sighed. “I don’t think so, though I would wait just a bit before returning if you still have errands to run. Unless you’d like to return with me and a guard?”
She could offer the girl the same protection if she wanted to return. “The Queen Mother was attacked some weeks ago. The marketplace has been quite unsettling recently” Karothdra moved to the opening of the alley and looked out. “Looks like we won’t be seeing them for some time and if we’re lucky. Ever.”

Return with a guard? This girl was someone. How didn't she recognize her? She wasn't the princess, but that didn't mean that she wasn't some other noble. "No I was just looking myself." there was nothing that she could afford really. "Though I'm sorry to hear that you didn't get what you wanted."
When she spoke about the Queen mother Eleina realized that she was a noble, and a high up one at that. "Yes? I didn't hear about that. Is she okay?" she asked curiously. She didn't know much about the lives of the regal, since she wasn't fully Oban, but she had a feeling that she could figure out more about this girl by asking questions.

“It’s fine really.” It wasn’t Eleina’s fault after all if some brutish men had decided that they wanted to pick a fight and ruin her day. Eleina herself had gotten caught up in the whole jumble after all not of her own will either.
“Oh yes, she’s quite alright. I managed to fight him off until the guard got there,” Karothdra made a face. “Though he did give me this before fleeing.” She pointed to her still blueish green cheekbone where she had taken the hit from the man. “I might be a lady in waiting but I know how to fight.” Karothdra glanced down the street again one more time just to make sure they were okay. “I think we can leave this alleyway now.”

Ah so now she knew, a lady in waiting to the Queen mother. And one that could fight. She wasn't sure if that was common or not. If it wasn't it should be. "Well then she is lucky to have you, and it looks like the bruise is healing nicely. I'm sure that he can't say the same." she laughed.
Looking at the street she nodded towards the other girl. "Thank you for helping us get away. It was wonderful meeting you, and I look forward to seeing you again. Though hopefully in a much better situation."
