Weeell...the vernal equinox is about the 21st of March, so it's officially spring. 3nodding Here there's usually a lot of snow during spring, haha. 4laugh Contrary to popular belief, though summer doesn't start until the summer solstice, about the 21st of June.. biggrin

Haha, technically there can be snow here in the summer too, it just depends on the elevation. Up on mountain peaks, the snow lasts preeetty long! surprised

Hehe, something like that, yeah! =3 Well, no, no skiing all year unfortunately.. The ski slopes close for summer, but they're open for most of fall and spring and all of winter. Basically a little over half the year. 3nodding
It's kind of like how some months of the year the ocean water is colder and some months the water on the beach is warmer and more inviting. ...At least I think that's how it works, I don't live next to an ocean all year 'round and you live much closer to the equator than I do.. xd

Wow, that's really kool! You guys probably do a lot of winter sports there? biggrin
Trust me, its ALWAYS cold the first time you go in lol but you get used to it after a while 3nodding The thing to watch out for though is when the waves get rough.

Haha, yeah, there's quite a bit of winter sports here, that's for sure! 3nodding Sometimes the winter olympics are held here. biggrin Let's see...skiing, snowboarding, hockey, sledding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing...just to name a few. wink
Hehe, I remember! I'm trying to remember if it's the Pacific or the Atlantic ocean that's colder than the other though... I've been to both oceans before. ^_^ I think it was the Atlantic that was colder.. xd That's a good thing to keep in mind, I'd imagine. I've only really been to beaches when it's nice (or possibly a little rainy) out, but I've never seen really sour weather on a beach. ...I can imagine it'd be really terrifying to live near an ocean come a powerful storm, like a hurricane.. eek

Wow! Where do you live? It seems like an awesome place to visit! x3 What is snowshoeing? lol
lol *nods* there have been times at the north coast where the waves were like really really high and caused damages to some of the shops on the beach. Most times its alright though ^_^
