History:
Kalendol grew up without her mother, her mother having died soon after her birth; however, her father constantly doted upon her, giving her all the attention she craved. As a Tanner, he trained her in his craft, since she was the only child of his interested in the craft. Eventually, when she was sixteen, she went to Benden Wher, where a man who'd trained with her father in the craft worked and lived. Upon arrival, she ran into a search dragon, the rider told her of a clutch there in Benden, Banshidheth's clutch. Excited, she went to see if she could stand and was made a candidate. She thoroughly apologized to her would-be master. During the hatching the girl wound up impressing to Green Kynigoth. Excitement coursed through her and she sent a letter to her father expressing her excitement. He was angry with her at first but he eventually agreed to her new life choice.

Sharath rose and it was said she would clutch; however, Keller's minions poisoned Sharath. She survived, but only barely, sick with the poison she lived long enough to clutch a large number of eggs with less than satisfactory sizing. Kalendol didn't want to believe the atrocities pinned to Keller, and supported his equality statement readily. Kynigoth, her dragon, felt wronged by Keller and wanted to rise against him; however, the girl could not believe that Keller would be so cruel.

It took the war and fighting to really turn the tide of Kalendol's heart. Jamarin, her closest companion, next to her dragon, was bold. She knew if she stuck with him she'd be safe. But others began to look to her to fight. Unable to rise against the other dragons, the girl panicked, causing her to be separated from all she held dear.

On her own, she and Kynigoth flew towards Trine, hoping to seek refuge from the fighting. During this time, Benden was lost and Kalendol feared that Jamarin had been lost along with it. For nights, she curled up with Kynigoth and cried her sorrows into the dragon's green hide. It took a seven-day for her to pull out of her sorrow and start working within Trine. With the war carrying on, she assisted in keeping the masses within Trine calm. After Sharath's death, and the loss of Benden, there was not much that couldn't upset her new weyr. She heard of Keller's death soon after, but the Gold Rider who'd lost her dragon, also died; oddly of the same thing.

Kalendol hoped peace would come about now that the fighting was over. Malvren was left unlived in after the cruelty and injustice done there. Dragons and there riders began to flock to Trine, escaping the wherholds once and for all. Kalendol searched for Jamarin among their ranks, but she grew busy. Thoughts of equality rose again, and she laid her voice among the masses, Golds were too powerful, it was unfair. Her green, with the inquisitive mind of hers, spoke of her desire to become something more. Excitement surged within the bonded pair and they backed the voice that ranks should be earned, not freely given. When the rogue queens fled to the wild, Kalendol feared they'd strike out against the weyr. She and Kynigoth debated joining with the Rogue Hunters, but, once it became known that Atypicals were less influenced by the might of the queens, she quickly abandoned that desire.

After the fall, crimsons began to step up in society more and more, Kalendol found herself admiring their choices. She and her green backed the crimsons, despite having close ties with Vosin, a gold rider. Annual games have been set up, the green rider has aimed for a search rider position during these passed ten years, and was ecstatic to earn the position. When she was reunited with Jamarin, it did not take long for the pair to become Weyrmates; despite Kynigoth's absolute desire to be with bronzes more than blues. Kalendol now looks more to the future of Trine Weyr, excited to see how the weyr flourishes under this new camaraderie.
Description:
Kalendol is a relatively taller woman around five foot eight inches. She is lightly tanned, with auburn hair providing a rich contrast. Her hair is usually swept up in a braid that hangs down to her upper thigh. She usually wears a pair of loose leather pants and a cotton blouse in a white color. A black pelt straps just underneath her bust, causing her cleavage to really pop on her chest. Her hands and lower arms are slightly scarred with burn marks from her time as a tanner's apprentice, while her booted feat have a slight scar on the arch. Now that she is older her face has narrowed slightly from it's heart shape; and she looks much older as a whole. Her hazel green eyes still hold a happy, bright air to them that holds her in her twenties.
Personality:
Kalendol has a very intriguing personality behind her voluptuous appearance. She is more than willing to help those within the holds and weyrs who are in trouble; however, she is one of the people who want to figure out ways to stop the trouble all together. Although she is incredibly soft spoken, she has vibrant opinions and will fight tirelessly until her opinions are known and accepted. She is decisive and strong willed, although she will rarely use this for her own personal gain, seeking comfort in knowing what she does helps others who are more in need than herself. She will utilize her creativity, imagination, conviction, and sensitivity in order to create balance, not to create an advantage. Kalendol finds it easy to connect with people, whether her sensitive nature will allow it or not. She has a good leadership quality flowering within her, and her confidence in herself to make the changes necessary make her an attractive person to multiple types. She can be considered a silent extrovert type, though one must remember that there are times when she needs to be alone to recharge her nerves. Kalendol tends to push herself to her limits, and if she's enthralled in a job she can forget to take care of her body properly. She is determined to meet the needs of those she meets, and this can cause her to overlook her own needs without remorse. She has the ability to meet any task she takes on, though, if she forgets about herself and loses herself to the task she can be sorely in trouble when it comes to the scheme of things. Although, she will never admit to it, Kalendol is quite the stubborn little bull. When confronted by another person with the same convictions and personality as she herself has, she tends to welcome them openly. If a person has a stronger leadership capacity, she can do one of two things; either she butts heads with this person and challenges everything that they say, or she befriends them for the greater good of her desires. She'll confess to them her goals in an attempt to get them to go with them as well. However, Kalendol hates to be brushed off, and does not take kindly to others doing so towards her. She can become rather off-put and lose some of her focus. Not to say she'd outwardly strike at any of her peers, or superiors, she'd just be a bit mopey for a while. If she feels she can better something, Kalendol is not afraid to break rules in order to get her points across. This can be a good thing and a bad thing. She understands that every action has a consequence, and that is something she does not fear in the least. If she can better those around her, she will take the chance. She is quite Egalitarian, wanting equality amongst all. If she feels that her consequence was befitting the "crime" or "rule break" she will put off a cool calm and state her case in the best manner she possibly can. Kalendol is brutally opinionated. Her opinions on the gold and bronze over throwing is that it was absolutely necessary. If she'd been among the revolution, she'd been in favor of the equality between all dragons and in extent riders. However, she can see both sides of this notion, and in that case is where she keeps her mouth shut; neither accepting or rejecting the idea. She thinks that everyone's equality is a good thing. Kalendol is a person who loves beauty, where ever it can be found; often seeing it in things others do not find as beautiful. This teenager would rather spend her free time among the beautiful colors of dragons, whers, or even flits, than doing something others perceive as fun. She is similar to a tomboy in that she's more than willing to go tunnelsnake hunting and flit egg finding than staying inside doing drawings or singing. She's wild and fun when she gets out of her "beauty is everything" idea.

She was all for equality and followed Keller's words; although when the real fighting started she was scared off and separated from Jamarin.

That's the polite term for what Kynigoth is. Those less polite - or just less fond of her - would call her nosy, or worse. Much worse. She isn't one of those annoyingly but charmingly curious dragons seeking a general knowledge of everything and everyone; what she wants is to know every dark, shameful, and dramatic secret she can get her claws into. Worse still, her ultimate goal is to expose those secrets. And if she has trouble finding juicy secrets, she becomes all the more convinced that said secrets exist and are just buried very, very deeply, and so they must also be truly, wonderfully awful ones. She is convinced that there is no such thing as a completely "good" person, and she will dig tirelessly for skeletons and ulterior motives.

Kynigoth will never meet a rumor or conspiracy theory she doesn't like, no matter how many of them don't pan out in the end. Each one will be pursued with the same dogged enthusiasm, and all progress and assumptions will be happily shared along the way with anyone willing to listen. She loves having an audience almost as much as she loves investigating, and may be inclined to recruit others into helping with her investigations. Making and keeping friends may be difficult for this green, however, as Kynigoth is, well...Kynigoth, and just because she likes someone doesn't mean they're exempt from her prying ways. She may be quicker to 'wrap up' investigations involving those she's especially fond of, though, by finding some convenient excuse or justification, and coincidentally having more pressing matters to attend to.

Though many conclusions will be jumped to, feelings hurt and reputations damaged, Kynigoth doesn't do any of this out of malice. She honestly believes that the truth needs to come out, no matter how much that truth might hurt. How she gets to that truth will vary, particularly in her early turns while she's still trying to iron out her methods. It is possible, depending on the influence of her rider, that she will learn to be subtle, but by nature she leans more towards confrontational. If all else fails, yell! Hopefully her rider is not easily shocked or embarrassed, because this dragon loves herself some profanity.

While her meddling will certainly try the patience of many, no one can deny that she has guts. Fear and anxiety will never keep her down, and she will face every threat - be it real or just greatly exaggerated - with unflinching resolve that could be mistaken for fearlessness. In truth, she is not without fear: she just likes the adrenaline rush that comes with it.

When she's not searching metaphorical closets, she can be a pleasant, albeit incredibly eccentric, dragon. Just be prepared to sit through a lot of rambling.
Other:
Kalendol has backbone, and everything else that Kynigoth could possibly require: conviction, confidence, a quick mind, a willingness to do what needs to be done and say what needs to be said, but without thought for personal gain. These traits, combined with her insight, culminate in the ideal investigative partner for Kynigoth. Working together, they have the potential to solve any problem presented to them, get to the bottom of every mystery, and shine light on dark secrets.

Kynigoth, so convinced that darkness lurks everywhere, needs her rider to teach her that there is beauty in the world, that sometimes what is good really is good, not just a fabrication. And if Kalendol could also impart a bit of sensitivity, she'd really be doing everyone a favor!
