It felt like every day, Zircon heard news of another officer that had turned their back from their duties and stepped into Order's light. Others went missing, left for dead, and worse, some were even found, their civilian bodies crumpled and broken in alleyways and parks. For every senshi vanquished, two more seemed to appear from thin air, and Negaverse solidarity had been at an all-time low with shades of insubordination surrounding the New Year's offensive and the ever-looming shadow of some mystery future. Now, more than ever, it was paramount that officers of rank show courage and leadership for their lieutenants, extending a lifeline to the soldiers ultimately responsible for Earth's future.
And so, when the call went out for volunteer training, Zircon was quick to sign herself up, ready to offer her services as a responsible captain should. She received only a name--Pyrophanite--and what might have been an amused look coming from the InfO handing out assignments. The Database likewise yielded little information, only a face and a weapon, but it was ultimately inconsequential. Zircon wanted to teach, and she'd certainly faced more difficult students before.
She waited at the appointed meeting place, a low rooftop on the outskirts of the business district downtown. It was just now five o' clock, and people clamored beneath her in their suits and ties and smartphones, filing in like the herds of cattle that they were. Zircon watched them idly, but her senses were focused elsewhere, on the secret network of energies and auras that only someone with true power could sense. It would alert her to the arrival of her new pupil, or signal trouble on the horizon if she felt Order's sickly-clean presence. It left little energy to simply enjoy the warmth of the late day sun, but Zircon had nothing to waste on such luxuries. Vigilance meant survival, it promised a day where she might have nothing to do but enjoy the warmth of the late day sun.
At least, that was the hope. Lately, she wasn't too sure.

Let me know if this is an okay start!

Pyro thought Natron was a little b***h. Dude corrupted him or whatever s**t and when Pyro was told that Natron wasn't his general to train him, he flipped his lid.
He went stomping around whatever the negaverse hidey hole Rift s**t was, only to find well...the rift wasn't actually anything he could really stomp around.
So he had taken to the streets, beating up his old hood kids for their money. Pretty much throwing a tantrum. He was in the middle of a demand when he got new orders. Meet some negaverser now to train under them.
He asked if it was Natron. They said no. Did he give a ******** then? Well kinda....
And then the day came to where he was supposed to meet this person, so at the designated time, in the designated spot, Pyrophanite was there, and of course, because he had no respect....He was drinking from a large slurpee, with a slim jim.
At least he could tell that Zircon was around by the aura, but since it wasn't Natron well....
"OI, WHERE ARE YOU OH GREAT MASTER TO TEACH ME THIS s**t?"
Zircon been meditating on the slow and gradual decay of the Dark Kingdom, when suddenly--
"OI, WHERE ARE YOU OH GREAT MASTER TO TEACH ME THIS s**t?"
The captain tensed, scrunching up her face with an even measure of distaste. Glancing down from her perch, she found her newest pupil, partaking in what looked like a...snack.
Incredible.
Vaulting herself over the side of the building with one arm, she landed sharply in front of Pyrophanite, eyes narrowing as she took in the view of the officer and his slurpee. This officer was definitely going to be a challenge, she could already tell.
"You're late," came Zircon's response, her voice dripping with icy venom. "And you will refer to me as 'Captain Zircon', or simply 'Captain'. None of this...great master business."

The officer in question totally looked down at little miss Thang staring up at him.
Look at that grumpy face.
"And?" He slurped obnoxiously at his drink, "That was sarcastic babe, you gotta learn the difference." He snorted.
Zircon had been called a number of things in her Negaverse career, from pathetic to psycho to b***h, but never once, even in the history of her civilian life, had someone had the gall to speak down on her with the word 'babe'.
Her pupils narrowed, and in the blink of an eye she'd slapped the slurpee so hard from the boy's hand that the resultant icy mush explosion left some cherry on one of her cheeks.
"Listen here, you little s**t," Zircon hissed, her low volume barely containing the dripping vitriol in her voice. "We're going to start by teaching you some respect when you talk to your betters. You will refer to me as Captain Zircon. Nothing. Else."

Somewhere in his brain, Pyro knew something went wrong. He had said the wrong thing. It was a dangerous wrong thing, and it would end, like all dangerous wrong things, in his hide being cooked over a fire.
There was a part of him, that instinct of street parts, that told him now was a good time to just be chill. Remember that he wasn't the almighty being that Natron had promised yet, that he was, like in a gang, the b***h boy still.
But as the slurpee hit the ground, splattering red sticky sugar on both of their persons, Pyro's instincts and smarts all floundered under the childish reaction to anything of his being destroyed.
There was a loud annoying high pitched...sound as his head dropped to the casuality that was his delicious drink.
Then there was an immediate strings of curses so fluently flowing together, it would've made a sailor take his hat off and pray for the lords forgiveness.
He brought blue eyes down to her, squinting his eyes.
There was no words yet, but it all bubbled down eventually and he took a deep breath. <********." He waited, "Captain Zircon." of SS b***h ahoy.
There are certain people on this earth who exist solely because its considered treason against Metallia to kill them. Pyrophanite was one of them. But that wouldn't stop Zircon from providing a little dose of Negaverse discipline, circa 2009.
Her deft hands darted up and through his chest, and she took special delight in clenching at the starseed within. Locking eyes with the lieutenant, her expression remained stoic as she lifted up, up, until his toes barely lifted off of the cement, and with fingers clasped around his starseed like a delicate cage she swung with all of her force, slamming him down onto the streets so hard that he almost bounced.
Zircon hovered over the fallen lieutenant, pinned in a pool of his own slurpee, and used her free hand to wipe away the icy dribble on her face as her pursed lips split into a smug little grin. "Oh look, it learns," she mused, leaning in closely.
"Lesson two. You are to arrive to training on time and without snacks. Do you understand me?" Her mouth unpeeled into an ugly smile, showing the whites of her teeth. "You may nod if you find yourself out of breath."

See there was instincts that Pyro should've paid attention to. Cues from Zircon that probably noticable of how little s**t she dealt with. Perhaps because he thought he got lucky with Natron, that his time in the negaverse so far was just one more free ride that he thought it was okay to act like he did.
He felt her hand in his chest. He also felt smug that he gotten his insult out at her. It should've let him know that the timing of Zircon was that quick.
So he felt her hand, and smugness turned to disbelief as he was literally LIFTED over her. And her hand felt like a knife stabbing in his chest, his breath catching.
And then he was hitting the ground with such force he rebounded and the only sound he managed was....a small wheeze. He felt the cold of slurpee against the heat of painn from his back.
Crazy b***h.
But he nodded, eyes watching her while he lay in the puddle of mess he made himself. Crazy b***h, but she was far stronger then he was. No wonder Natron left him with her.
He couldn't ******** move more then a bit. Goddamn strong armed she hulk.
Zircon waited patiently for the lieutenant's compliant nod, and when Pyrophanite gave his pained sign of deference the captain let out a soft exhale, the tension melting from her shoulders.
"That wasn't so hard, was it?" she murmured, a soft tone normally reserved for her civilian students. She straightened her posture with a fluid roll of her shoulders and stretched back her arms, glancing down the sidewalks to give herself a brief survey of her surroundings. Her gaze flickered, darting northward, and her eyes narrowed at something that didn't seem to be visibly there.
"Whatever cruelty you think was done here, I promise there are White Moon senshi who will show less mercy," Zircon explained, her expression fixated on that invisible point. In the distance, fluttering in and out of perception, a sickly clean Order senshi's aura danced across her senses. It was too far out to know whether or not it was predator or prey, and Zircon was not the sort of officer to take chances.
"Lesson three," she added, reaching for one of Pyrophanite's splayed arms in an attempt to pull him up to his feet. "I want you to look ahead and see if you can feel that, in the distance. It's a senshi's aura, we can sense them and they can sense us." The white moon energy slipped into her range again, only to flit away, and Zircon scowled. "I think it might even be toying with us."

okay SO we can have Zircon take Pyro on this chase or she can just be like 'this is above your pay grade kid see you next time' or whatever we have a couple of options, I just figured I'd toss a little action in to keep me moving XD

This was like that scene in avengers when the hulk got all calmed down by Black widows whatever.
Except Zircon was a mini Hulk, and he was in now shape or form, a black widow. But he could see her all calming down. And then she was giving him a soft tone and at first he was like: What the ********? You just threw me on the ground? I STILL CAN'T BREATHE.
But the soft tone did what she expected, urging Pyro to sit up and wheeze. "I could've used a less painful lesson..." He muttered mainly to himself, before finally standing and staring at the girl. It was like when you punished a dog for a bad thing? But then they stood next to you looking scared and expectant and willing to follow orders.
Pyro was that dog.
And like a dog, he lifted his nose to the air as if Aura's was all smell based. He didn't smell them, but for a moment he felt....
"It's like a sickeningly sweet feeling right?" Natron told him about once he thought. Where Zircon next to him felt like sweet whispers of trouble, the aura he felt was like a super sweet cupcake that he didn't want.
"So you gonna just like...let that stand?" Pyrophanite kicked the ground with his boot, "Or like, can I redeem myself or something."
"That's one way to describe it," Zircon mused with a nod, keeping her eyes sharp for the sight of the enemy. She took a step forward, as if it might grant her some palpable advantage, and was rewarded with the senshi's aura bristling against her senses, a stronger whiff of something that felt powerful. It might have been Super, but it could have been more, and senshi had the irritating habit of calling for backup at the most inconvenient of times. If she wanted to go on the offensive, she needed a better staging point, and less dead weight.
She squinted up at Pyrophanite's question, but otherwise shook her head. "We don't know what we're up against and I won't risk your safety for the sake of a training exercise when you're not combat-ready. We'll have to cut this lesson short."
Zircon sighed, running a hand through her hair. Why was the White Moon always trying to make her life so difficult? "We'll resume another day, but for now I want you to head south until you can't feel the senshi and power down. Head home if you can, if it's too far a walk then wait thirty minutes and power up and request a ferry, the senshi should be gone by then. These things have a habit of patrolling, so if you're patient, you can wait them out. Remember that."
She turned towards the unknown threat, ready to hop away, then glanced back at Pyrophanite expectantly. "Any questions, lieutenant?"

I think we can wrap here unless you want Pyro to insist on going along

What sort of game-
"Yeah sure, cool." Pyro wasn't about to go chasing after a senshi...He still was wheezing.
"Just gonna...go home. Think about my ways." He muttered. "Have fun...."
