 Krow was eager, to say the least, about getting into the fray. It wasn't his usual ship raid but violence was violence and the thought of blood and guts spilling and cries of pain and suffering sent shivers of pleasure down his spine. His cruel eye spotted a carny and his toothy grin widened. He looked interesting enough to be fun. Krow waved a hand and his parrot companion took to the air as he drew his saber. Making no move to be stealthy, he rushed the pointy fellow, peg leg clacking on the ground, swinging his blade aiming to open the target's chest. HP: 20

 Shamir had been indecisive on if he wanted to get out into the fray or stay back and be a healer. After the last war he had fought in, the sword-swallower had suffered paralysis after a particularly vicious fight. It had taken him a long time, with the help of a hellhound friend to even get to the point of walking again, never mind getting back to normal. And the thought of that happening again scared him. But the thought of something happening to his god and carnival scared him more. And so he decided to fight. He sure didn't expect his first opponent to be a peg-leg pirate, but he was able to dance out of the way, using his slender sword to try and hamstring the pirate on his good leg. HP: 19

Krow naturally shifted his weight and pulled his leg away from the incoming blade. He took a mild slashing, but he payed the minor injury no mind and launched a counter attack, slashing his saber for the side. His grin still toothy and his little companion circled above them. HP: 18

Shamir missed, but tried to keep moving. He took a mild slash to his side and grimaced, but slashed his sword down at Krow's knee this time. HP: 17

Krow moved slightly to the side as the blade dug deep into his knee. His grin didn't falter and the pain seemed more like it excited him than anything else. "Not bad, not bad at all." He praised with a dark glimmer in his eye. "I like 'em when they fight back." He grinned and took a deft step forward, thrusting his narrow blade for the carnie's gut. HP: 14

Shamir was surprised he didn't at least go down or stumble more. Blinking, he barely moved enough to take a gash along his side instead of in his stomach. "I won't let you cursed filth take over the carnival. There's no way I won't fight back," he retorts, flicking his slim blade up at the pirate's neck this time. HP: 15

Krow stepped back, seeming to be unhindered his gored knee as the other blade flicked for his throat. He brought his own up to meet his opponents and deflected it to the side, though a small red line appeared on the side of his pale neck. His eyes gleamed and his grin widened. "Oh, but that's what makes it so fun to take!" He declared stepping to the side and in with his peg leg as he slashed his blade in a vertical arc. HP: 12

Shamir gasped as he couldn't avoid the next attack enough, and a deep gash went up his front, catching his chin even as he yanked his head back. Grimacing in pain he nonetheless tried to slash horizontally across his opponent before he could recover. HP: 12

Krow enjoyed the feel of his blade opening a bloody gash on his opponent, but was not distracted by such a thing. Unable to properly avoid the attack from his position he was swift to bring his bade in for the defense. The metal clanged together and he braced his stance. "Come now, don't tell me that's all you got. It won't be fun unless you put up a nice struggle." His dark tone mocked, trying to rile up his foe. He pushed back on the others blade the made a quick move to the side slashing his blade diagonally for his enemies dominate arm/side. HP: 11

Shamir felt his blade blocked, then pushed; it was all he could do to spin and avoid taking more than a nick on his arm. "I was going to ask you the same thing," he retorts, switching it up and aiming his blade at Krow's gut.

Krow turned, but it was only enough to stop the blade form puncturing anything vital. A deep, sinister laugh escaped the peg leg pirate even as the enemy's thin blade sunk deep into his flesh. Only a faint twinge in his muscles signified that he even felt the searing pain the cold metal in his gut was causing. He leaned in and made to grasp the sword wielding hand with his free one and looked deep into the carnie's eyes with his crazed one. "So ye be enjoying this as much as me?" He intones darkly with a wicked grin before aiming to slide his own blade into the the stomach. HP: 8

No, no he wasn't. Shamir didn't really enjoy the fighting, but knew it was necessary right now. He didn't bother replying even as his hand was grabbed. He couldn't move or free it, and he grunted as the pirate's blade returned the favor, sinking deeply inside of him. The only thing he could think to do in the close quarters was attempt a headbutt. HP; 8

Krow took a good whack from the noggin on noggin action. He pulled back, removing himself from the other's blade as he did. Regaining himself after a few steps, his head snapped back with a grin. "Whoo! Headrush!" He called out as he settled his stance, whipping his blade back to ready position. Then his eye got dark and he lunged back in with a wide arching slash. HP: 5

Shamir shook his head after the headbutt, seeing stars as well, but the pirate freeing himself from his blade meant freeing the sword from his belly as well, and Shamir shuddered in pain, his hand moving to clutch the wound, blood starting to pour from it. He was still trying to recover when the pirate somehow came at him quickly, the slash cutting him open down his side as he tried to twist away. He gasped in more pain and lashed out with his sword semi-blindly. HP: 5

Krow tried to avoid the lashing blade, but he had bad footing and as he tried to side step the blade caught him and opened up his chest. He blinked and stepped back, his peg leg clacking on the ground. His grin became more of a grimace unable to hide all the intense pain behind a complete poker face. Still, he felt the adrenaline pump through him and he almost relished the sharp pain and the warm feel of his blood flowing freely. Placing his free hand on his blood soaked chest he swayed quite unsteadily. "Yeah, that's what a like to see. Struggle you little carnies. Struggle against the inevitable. The suffering will be that much more bitter." He made a motion with his hand and the bird that had been circling above suddenly dove at the sword swallower with his little dagger in his beak and claws ready to do some damage. HP: 1
