The Evolving Item creation as part of the Sapphire Ticket includes working with Gaia staff to create a story, spread over 6 separate announcement updates, that will be included in the weekly EI reports. This is also an opportunity to invent part of Gaia's canon, as characters and stories presented in these reports are sometimes used in future chance items or continued in additional evolving items. As such, it requires more work involving multiple staff members to approve and edit this item type.

The Trunk will be appearing again, it is getting its item list tweaked (since it had some Zomg items that can be found in the Back Alley Bargain Grab Bag). It will be released once it is finished and we have compiled more missing components from old CIs.

At this time, there are no plans to convert old human GS items for animal base. We think we can make better ones than old ones, but if you have specific items that you're dying to fit onto your tiny paw body, please feel free to make a thread in Site Feedback and get some of your fellow paws in the thread so we see that it's highly requested! Paw items in general are priced a little more inexpensively to encourage people to use the paw base, and also because paw items are littler! They take up less pixel space and therefore cost a few less pixel charms to craft. It's the law of equivalent exchange, right? emotion_kirakira

Winning ticket fragments is a way to distribute far more rewards and allow users a greater chance at questing for them. For instance, it is much more likely for a larger number of people to win a semi-rare fragment and slowly collect them over time than a single super rare ticket. It also allows for users who don't want them to have a stable and desired reward that they can sell on the MP that aren't totally unaffordable except by a few very wealthy exchangers.

Not yet. We still want to improve towns2 a bit, because user feedback tells us there are some features from towns 1 that would be missed. We will not, however, being making any updates to towns 1.

I guess the question should be which planet's moon are these bunnies residing upon? I mean clearly, the recent Bunvasion's ranger squad had to originate from somewhere, but did they come from our own moon? Our own solar system?? Even from our own galaxy? eek

Agreed every Gaia page should support https. Unfortunately however due to how some pages were built on the backend, it is not a simple update. We do however plan to slowing get all areas of the site supporting this as we update various areas.

Yes, we've been advised by our team that raising charity items for the benefit for a single individual or family has a very high risk of fraud and other snafus. Long story short- if we raise money for charity we need to donate to an organization (we try to select one who are highly rated in the Public Integrity Index). If you are receiving aid from a charity or organization, or have a program that you feel a personal investment in please feel free to recommend them. heart

I agree, I feel like making item lists is a great experience in the GCD forum and I don't want to take that away! However, if two different users created item lists for that day, wouldn't it be unfair if one person was PMed a list and the other wasn't? I feel like it's difficult for Gaia to "officially" step in to CI item lists without making someone feeling like they've been left out, because it's impossible for us to be able to respond to everyone, every day, all the time. crying I think it might be best if we staff members step in on an "as needed" basis, like if there's controversy over whether something is actually dropping or not, that we can help as a referee.

Depending on the item, the lowest buy price could be changing multiple times in only a few minutes. It is far more accurate to take a rolling average than to only take the lowest buy price. For example what if a person wanting to get rid of an item quickly lists an item at 3/4 the normal market price and that value is what gets pulled while you are looking at your wishlist? How disappointing would it be to save up your gold then see you need much more! sad With an average, though the above could still happen, it would be far less often.

Most days yes, I am excited about the projects I get to work on. I still get the occasional case of the Mondays. Also, snacks don't arrive till late on Monday, so more excited on Tuesdays.

Hmm, I'm not sure what I can tell you, except for the art team has been awfully sick lately!!

For the moment I don't see us changing this, but what we could look at doing in the future is consolidating the PMs to get sent hourly in one PM instead of individual PMs when collecting GC from offers.

This is a great idea! A lot of staffers would love to have some sort of freebie item based off their own individual personalities, but I have to get all my work done before I can be doing extra for-fun items like this.

We have lots and lots of NPCs and only one interview a week! Between the Gaians we interview or special events going on, it'll take some time for us to get to all of our NPCs but she'll have her turn in the future for sure! Hope that answers your question. 3nodding

While unfortunately there is no solid plan for updating the Seraphique/Demonique sets at this time, we are looking into new updates for various payment incentives for the summer. 3nodding

The inventory worth calculator as it currently is, was a quick add-in for those that found it very useful and lost it after you know what shut down. The long term plan is for it to be a link to a separate landing or a modal that will open and show the value of all your items from greatest to smallest, with marketplace links for each item.

This is a glitch with Loyal's Bazaar where once an LQI sells out it will stay within the shop, however, if a user tries to buy the items nothing will actually happen. This is a glitch that we know about and that we will be addressing.

I will try to address this as concisely as possible but I have a tendency to ramble, so please bear with me. It’s extremely simple to say gold generators will never be sold again, but that would actually cause more damage than being helpful, and here is why:

Properly balanced Gold Generators allow us to make a certain amount of revenue that frees up our art and developer resources to work on features, new art and fixing old bugs. This is what it all boils down to- resources. We can easily say that given the survey results, we should only make black Fantasy items – but we won’t, we will make girl items, boy items YES EVEN YELLOW items. Simply looking at the Cash Shop at the only limited quantity items to sell out- most of them are GGs, and this conflicts with the message that users want them removed.

We have to look at situation as a domino effect. If Gold generators are no longer sold, it would mean we would have a harder time hitting our daily / monthly goals. With goals not being hit, cuts will need to be made, either in art, features, or updates to the site. In the past, we set a wrong standard of things by not limiting the amount of gold that can be purchased. We understand that introducing gobs and gobs of gold into the economy is bad, but looking at the overall data, we have remained steady over the last couple months, and even a decline of gold in the economy.
We have been consistently updating Loyal’s with LQI items, and since the start of this initiative, combined with the Loyal’s Gate series we’ve sunk over 3 quadrillion alone- trimming more than 1/3 of the gold economy. We are keeping a close eye on the economy as a whole and making adjustments as needed to balance and sink more gold out.

We are also trying to address the disparity from newly returning users and users who do not have the option to purchase GC by giving more ways to earn higher gold payouts- Switch-em, Booty Grab, Daily Chance and Pink Links have all been updated and we won’t be stopping there.
Not all Gaians will agree with the measures we’re taking, but at the end of the day, our goal is to provide you with the best possible items, and new features. We are almost on the cusp of releasing a Chat system, Avatar dream builder, Pet RPG, Mobile app updates and Guild renovations, and we hope that when these come out, combined with a stabilized gold economy we can all have fun on the site that has brought us all so many great memories.

If the original artist isn't around anymore, we try to forward the item glitch onto a senior artist who can help out. Sometimes the glitch reported can't be fixed or is intentional. Which glitch report are you referring to? Please feel free to leave me a message on my profile page. It might've been addressed already and gotten buried in the thread. crying

We'd love to, but currently we're working with a glitch involving the format that it was originally made. Its on our bug list.

We do have plans for a writing contest in the near future, however we will likely offer other prizes than the Sapphire Ticket.

There are currently over 120,000 items ...not counting game items which are stored in a separate database from regular items. Something can be done about it but will be a large re-write project. The slow load is from all the data and requests that get made to pull a persons inventory. For those who's inventory completely break, what is happenning is that php runs out of memory to hold all the data that gets returned.

Yes, there are other games that we want to add. Besides the Pet RPG, we also would like to update the Jigsaw game and add the Asteroid hopping game that was released with the Easter Event.

You can create an I AM as long as it it not full avatar base size (as that's closer to a companion). Something the size of our pets would be acceptable.
