Del'nal was following the beautiful butterfly across the field as it fluttered it's way past the gorgeous spring flowers. "Come back pretty butterfly! Come back!" The starry mare bounced along, not giving a care in the world. She was extremely careful to avoid stepping on the various colors of flowers, as she found beauty in those as well. Every few moments she would stop long enough to take in the beautiful scent of one, before returning her attention back to following the pastel colored butterfly.
"Butterfly! Please don't leave!" Watching her mother chase the butterfly, Skylark smiled and shook her head. If anyone else outside the family saw the two of them, they would have thought that Skylark was the mother and Del'nal was the daughter, but it wasn't the case. Growing up, her mother's childish behavior had bothered her, but, now she enjoys it and even offers to go out with her so her father can relax. Her mother had this tendency of not noticing her surroundings and had gotten herself into a tight spot a number of times, so her father would always be nearby to protect her.
Today was such a gorgeous day and Del'nal did not want to stay within the herdlands, so Skylark accompanied her. She wished she could enjoy that same foal like nature that her mother had never grown out of, but there were to many worries and dangers that lurked nearby, so she was content to just follow and watch her mother. "Mother! Please don't get to far ahead." She gently called out as the bell rang softly around her neck.

N'tali gazed at the sky as she slowly made her way through a field of tall grass. The clouds above were extra white and seemed to glow with the sun's reflection, the afternoon was pleasantly warm and calming. Sniffing the air as a gust of wind softly blew past her she lowered her glance and eyed the direction with which the wind had come from. Grass danced at her feet as she paused and watched the hill top as if it was going to spring a surprise at her. Flitting her ear before perking it forward she heard the sounds of voices coming from the other side of the lush green hill which blocked her vision to see who it was. Listening more intently she tried to see if she should check them out or turn and go the other way but their voices were soft and seemed to be quite far away.
Releasing a sigh the white mare began walking towards the top of the hill so she could get a look at who was around. Her hooves clopped quietly on the soft moss which covered the ground where she now stood as she focused her gaze in the direction she heard the voices from. She could see, in the distance, two other mares walking together in what seemed like an afternoon stroll of their own. Well, more like one was walking and the other was ... pouncing at a butterfly? Letting a slight chuckle release with her amusement she continued to watch the two from her hill top seating, not really worried about if she was in sight or not for they didn't appear to be a viable threat.

Skylark looked away for a moment, distracted by a bee hovering around her ear. She had the misfortune of getting stung was and was not interested in getting stung yet again. By the time the bee left her alone, her mother was gone from her sights. Quickly looking around she scanned the area trying to find just where her wandering mother may have gone. "Mother?! Where did you go? Mother?!" She called out, trying to remain calm but the last time her mother wandered off away from her mate, she ended up in the midst of a rock slide, afraid that giants were coming to eat her. Thankfully in a field like this there were no rock slides to worry about, but who knows what kind of trouble her mother could get herself into. Probably would get her head stuck in a bee's hive if that's where the butterfly went.
"Please mother! Come out from wherever you're hiding!"
"Butterfly, butterfly, butterfly." Del'nal quietly sung as she continued to follow the pretty colored insect. She spread her wings out and jumped into the air, allowing the breeze to glide her a few feet ahead so she could catch back up to the butterfly. When her hooves touched the ground again, another butterfly was startled out of hiding, a pretty purple one, and now Del'nal couldn't figure out which one to follow.
The both flew away in opposite directions, and she started to panic as to which one she would follow. Finally she bounded after the purple one as it fluttered it's way up a hill. She failed to look away from the butterfly until she was almost ready to run into the white colored mare. Blinking, she pulled her gaze from the butterfly and followed the form up to it's face. The starry mare panicked. This was a ghost. It had to be a ghost! Quickly she scrambled backwards, wings flailing as she turned herself around. "GHOST! GHOST! GHOST! RUN AWAY!" She yelled as loud as she could as she made her way down the hill, leaving the stranger there, probably incredibly baffled.
Hearing the cry of her mother, she groaned, and took to the air to try to find her quicker. "What have you done now mother?" she asked herself as she scanned the ground.

N'tali raised an eyebrow at the starry mare's reaction as she just watched her scramble backwards calling out in such a hysterical manor. She tilted her head with curiosity to the situation but didn't move her body at all for she clearly didn't see this a threatening encounter. Flicking her tail the long braid brushed away some long grass which was rubbing against her leg before resting back down on the ground. "Are you alright?" She finally asked, preparing herself for another fit of fright from the elder female who seemed to be having an unusually hard time getting down the small grassy gnoll with which she was perched upon.

Spotting her mother, with another mare, Skylark groaned to herself and quickly made a landing between the two of them. "Mother dear, you're fine. There's no ghost." She said gently before looking at the newcomer who her mother had so kindly interrupted with her outburst. "I am so incredibly sorry if she disturbed you at all in any way. I'll have her out of your mane in just a few moments." She lowered her head in apology before turning back to her mother. "Come on mother, let's head back to the herd and get a sweet treat."Del'nal calmed slightly when her daughter arrived and spoke to her. She peered around her to look at the ghost like stranger again and decided that nope! she did not want to stay at all. Ears perking up at the mention of a sweet treat though, she smiled and started hopping back down the hill without waiting for Skylark.
