Character Art At Dragonflight: An Alternative Pern, Character Art is a supplementary reward for Roleplaying. We use standard bases for both genders and change up hair, faces, and clothing to suit the character in question. As more character art is created, more will be added to templates, expanding the options.
All characters in D:AAP are eligible for art as long as they meet the RP requirements. That is, a character doesn't have to be a dragonrider or a wherhandler specifically to obtain art, they can be a Trader, Holdless, Weyrfolk, Holder, or anything else within the expanse of Pern's universe. We welcome all characters and character types.

Requirements Once you have the necessary RPs for Character Art, you can then participate in any open slots or raffles offered by the Character Artists. Each time you want art, you can participate in any Character Artists’ opportunities, you do not need to request the same Artist each time. Click Here For Open Slots
Character Art Requirements and Definitions
Standard Options - These cost 3 RPs of at least 2 pages (30 posts) in length. You may select from the standard options and uniforms or clothing only.
Customized Base - These cost 7 RPs of at least 2 pages (30 posts) in length. You may select from the standard options and request up to two custom aspects (Hair, Face, or Outfit), All customized aspects will become available to the Standard Option tier after completion. Occasionally, Pose(Base) will be offered as an aspect to request but these will be rare - with a new pose comes a new template.
Unique Art - These cost 50 RPs of at least 2 pages (30 posts) in length. These will be customized per character and will be unique - the character art will be unique, not to be used in the Standard Options tier. This is equivalent to the Unique Lines Dragons that are occasionally available. RL Commissions will also be offered for this tier should an individual wish to go that route.
You can request multiple pieces of art, as long as you have the required RPs.
RPs count only once when requesting character art.
Types of Clothing
Civilian Clothing : Weyrfolk, Crafter, Candidate, Wherhandler, Rider, Dolphineer
Civilian Clothing is everyday, nonformal garb made from fabrics within the price range of the particular individual’s profession.
Styles, cuts, and accessories are of a medieval fantasy type – no armor, weapons, or blatant wealth is allowed for Civilian Clothing.
One piece of gold or silver jewelry is allowed.
Uniforms : Candidate, Wherhandler, Dragon Rider, Dolphineer
Uniforms are working garb of a standardized cut, colour, and appearance.
It varies by profession and small details will change depending on rank.
The provided uniforms cannot be majorly edited but small additions such as belts, buckles, sashes, and detail work are acceptable.
Dragon Rider leathers are available in (order of rarity/expense) brown, black, russet, white – no other colours are available.
Formal Clothing : Rider, Wherhandler, Crafter, Dolphineer
Formal Clothing is fancy, tailored, and often reflect the higher status of the individuals. Custom edited to request.
No armor, weapons, or excessive wealth is allowed.
Up to 3 pieces of gold or silver jewelry is allowed.
Subject to Staff Approval.

Character CardsCharacter Cards are minicerts that link the image of the Human PC to the partners associated with him or her. Any creature can be certed on these character cards but they require art of the human to be requested.
This certing is free and can be requested for each of the partners matched to a Human, for each of the outfits obtained. This include Flits.
If you want to have only your character on the Character Card, you may request that as well and have the option of supplying a short quote to go on the card over the faction logo.
