Iphigenia had taken to being a senshi like a fish took to water. She still had some questions, an assortments of what and why, but she also had some answers. For one thing, she knew that Chaos prowled the night too. Perhaps they were dangerous, but the last Negaverse she'd met had run away with her tail between her legs, so. A second thing she'd since learned was how to dispel youma. Her magic blew clear through one and it fell around her like dust. Perhaps not truly killed, but it would be a while before that one came back. Iphigenia pushed a stray hair out of her eyes and allowed herself to relax. But the moment she let her shoulders down, she felt something tugging at the base of her spine.

Another thing she'd learned was that the tingling feeling in her spine meant someone powered was around. She stopped and she closed her eyes. Its not Chaos, she thought. No, it felt calmer, less inclined to crawl up her spine and more like a soft ebbing against her skin. Definitely not Chaos.

She narrowed her eyes and stood still. The pale yellow of the lamplight caught in her hair and cast a honey-gold sheen over it. Iphigenia trusted her gut enough to bet on it and so she waited to see who would emerge from the darkness.

Camelot was taking to patrols slowly, but surely. He was walking around a lot more now, and his strength was holding out longer and longer. The more he powered up, the quicker he healed, and his trips to his Wonder were certainly helping in that, too. He would be almost one hundred percent sooner, rather than later, and that was a relief to him.

It did not suit him to be injured and limited in his actions. Not at all.

He felt the aura of someone White Moon nearby and moved toward it, as was habit. It did not take him long to spot the source of it, and he stopped cold in his tracks as he recognized her from a time that did not exist. Memories crawled through his mind, things he did his best to forget. Nightmares, only, but far too real.

He remembered her from that strange future. She told him to kill his corrupted son, because he was a weakness to them. She offered to do it for him.

But this, he told himself, as he realized he was just standing there staring at her, was not the same person.

"Good evening," he said, a little more stiffly than he usually intended.

Iphigenia's shoulders were still tensed. She did not move from her spot. The man was injured, but Iphigenia could sense the power difference between them. He might be on her side, if she had a side, but there was an edge in his voice that kept Iphigenia on her guard. She narrowed her eyes as he approached.

There were questions flying through her mind. Who are you? Why are you here? But the one that left her mouth was the most important one, "What do you want?"

When she spoke to him, he noted the tension in her voice, and it made his skin crawl with memory. This was most decidedly the same senshi as back then, the tone unmistakable, though in his memory it had not been out of distrust or caution that she spoke to him so coldly. Just the desire to protect what little they had.

It was just the stark difference in their methods that made him pause.

"I was just saying hello," he said, trying to relax a bit and offer her a smile. He bowed his head a bit, in greeting, and as a show of peace. "Ah. Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. My name is Camelot, Royal Knight of Earth."

He straightened up then, watching her as passively as he could manage. This was not the same person. She might not even remember what happened, as he did. He could not hold what happened in that alternate reality against her.

But it was so difficult not to think about the offer to kill his son, to protect him from his weakness. He could remember her name, but did not speak it, as he imagined that would be a bit too much for her, and he had no way to explain his way out of that one.

Smiles could be lies, but nothing in Camelot's stance suggested aggression. Iphigenia allowed herself to relax. The stiffness in her shoulders softened and she no longer stood rigid. This man was not an enemy, not yet at least. He bowed his head and offered his name. She did not return the bow, but she did offer her name.

"I am Sailor Iphigenia. I have met knights before but you are the first to call themselves 'Royal'."

No worries, little one, he is a friendly.

"I know," he said absently, then shook his head and tried to cover, "uh. About the Royal thing. I don't believe there are any other Royal Knights just yet. Maybe soon, but not yet."

He cleared his throat and glanced around, but there did not seem to be any Chaos related trouble nearby.

"Are you patrolling?"

He was not sure how to broach the subject of that strange future. She did not seem to recognize him, which told him that her memories were probably not as troublesome as his. He did not remember everything about that alternate world, but he certainly remembered enough to be worried about it.

"I could patrol with you, if you'd like. It's always safer in pairs." Not for him, of course, since he had very little to worry about. He was still healing from his battle with Painite, but that did not worry him too much, either.

Iphigenia raised an eyebrow at Camelot's phrasing. I know seemed an awfully weird thing to say in relation to her statement - especially considering they'd just met. A slip of the tongue, maybe. An odd bit of phrasing, perhaps. But she thought nothing more of it.

"Patrolling... I suppose you could call it that." The note of worry in his words made her itch. She was perfectly capable of handling herself! Iphigenia couldn't hold the bite from her words, but neither could she just walk away. This man, Camelot, clearly knew a lot of things that she didn't even begin to understand. Never look a gift horse in the mouth, she reminded herself. "If you don't mind, perhaps you could tell me more about these 'Royals' while we patrol?"

Camelot watched her, hoping the tension in his chest would ease the more he told himself this was not what it felt like. There was no bitterness here, no anger or ill intent. There was no need to consider her a threat to his family.

His over protective instincts needed to calm down.

Nodding his head, he offered her a smile and motioned for her to follow him, walking slowly, though he had no set path for their new team patrol route. He would wander where any auras were, he supposed, particularly if he felt anything Chaos related.

He was hoping not to run into anything, though, as he really just wanted to talk to her. She didn't recognize him, so it seemed as though she did not remember the strange events of the 'future'.

"Ah. Well. Royal Knights are what knights can become when their power is fully awakened, I suppose. It's a step beyond the full rank of Knight, but as far as I know it is very rare. Have you ever meant a senshi Prince or Princess? Or heard about them? Or the leaders of the Negaverse, the General Kings and Queens. Royal Knights are akin to them, but the other side of the coin. For their level of Chaos, we are the Order."

Though there were a lot more Chaos coins than there were Order ones, as far as he knew. Too many, in fact, and he wished the odds would even out more. Or even start tilting in Order's favor. But that did not seem likely.

"I do what I can to help the White Moon, and I can purify any Negaverse soldier that wants to join our side. I think that's one of my most important duties."

She followed just a step behind Camelot, curious as to which path he'd take them down. Not that she had any set paths herself, mostly Iphigenia just followed auras - hunting youma where she sensed them. In all consideration, it wasn't her best idea, it wasn't even a good idea, but Iphigenia had no other ideas. She listened to Camelot intently. Iphigenia was intent on soaking up any and all information he could offer.

"I see... I haven't met nor heard of any Princes or Princesses. Nor General Kings or Queens, for that matter. I suppose its part of the reason I didn't recognize your arua."

Royals then... Iphigenia wanted to ask about the name but something else caught her attention. That seemed to be happening a lot.

"Purify? What?"

"Ah, that might be it, yes," Camelot said, offering her a thin smile. He knew that some senshi, particularly the newer ones, did not run into the higher ranked numbers right away. It was a good thing, when faced with a member of Chaos, as the last thing Camelot wanted was for a scout to come up against a General King. Still, he wished that the White Moon royals could have more of a reach.

They all did what they could, in their circles, but their numbers were very small compared to how many senshi and knights were awakened around the city.

"Oh, you haven't heard of purifying? Well, that makes sense as well, if you've never met a royal senshi or knight. Ah. Well. It's something we can do to help even our numbers. If a member of Chaos chooses, they can come to our side, and those of us with the ability to can cleanse the Chaos in their starseed. I can purify the Negaverse, and when I do so, they become knights. We're two sides of the same coin, you know. When corrupted, Knights become Negaverse soldiers. Senshi and corrupt senshi are not within my power, but Princesses can purify them in a similar way."

He hoped his explanation was not too round about, knowing it was a hard concept to really understand without actually seeing.

"Wait, wait you mean-" she made a vague hand motion to signify Chaos, the enemy, "that you can convert those guys?

Chaos, Order, washing off starseeds. Terminology flew in and out of her head. Iphigenia raised an eyebrow, dubious. Camelot's answers brought only more questions to her mind. Chief among them, trust.

"And you trust them? You would welcome them as comrades just because?"

Camelot was not aware he did not know how to explain stuff, ahahah. It's good for him >>

Camelot noticed her look of confusion and nodded his head. Maybe he needed to slow down, and let her do more of the talking than he was, so he could answer her questions without making more to add to the pile. He had a bad habit of over explaining, while at the same time taking for granted what he thought was 'common' knowledge.

It was sometimes hard to remember that not every had experienced the same things he had.

"Not just because, no," he offered her a gentle smile, lifting his hands and indicating that he was going to slow it down.

"They usually come to me with the decision made. I cannot force anyone to change sides, as the Negaverse can when they corrupt. A Negaverse soldier must decide they want to leave Chaos, and join the White Moon. Those are people, I think, we can offer a bit of trust. It's at great personal risk to them, after all. The Negaverse does not take kindly to traitors."

He shook his head, looking up at the sky.

"I believe that the Negaverse and the Knights are two sides of the same coin. It's something I learned a very long time ago. Everyone deserves the chance to undo a mistake, or right a wrong that was forced on them. Who am I to decide if they're worthy, when they've already taken the risk to come to me for help? My duty is to give them a chance, not pass judgement on them."

"So it has to be voluntary? Could they fake it? Say they want to purify and then change their minds?"

Camelot's explanation made a lot of sense. It was hard for her to imagine someone helping without passing judgement, but she believed that Camelot could. He seemed like that kinda guy.

She paused for a moment and thought about the corrupted senshi she'd met. She understood his metaphor if only because she had felt the same way. Looking back at Kerberos, Iphigenia was surprised at how similar they were. Magic, outfit, aura... Camelot's wording made her assume that senshi could be corrupted forefully but, there was no harm in making sure.

"Just as people can be purified, they can also be corrupted right? Is that also only for the willing?"

Lithiasaur
Sorry for the wait, I thought I had already replied to this... T__T;;

No worries, we can still be friends! ^~

"I'm not too sure why they would pretend to want to purify. I suppose it's possible, but it's never happened as far as I know. The heart knows what's real, and I imagine our powers would not allow us to purify them if they had not accepted it. But that is a very interesting question..."

He had to think about that, and was oddly interested in the idea. What if someone did change their mind, but didn't know it? What if he tried to purify someone who said they wanted to purify, but then they were not able to. Did it work that way? Or was it just the act of force that made purifying an unwilling starseed impossible? So far, he had, of course, only purified those that came to him.

His expression sank a bit at her next question, and he shook his head slowly.

"Unfortunately, Chaos can force their hold on anyone, if they get the chance to. They can forcibly corrupt a starseed to make a new Negaverse soldier, or even corrupt a senshi to their side. They don't need permission, which makes keeping the numbers balanced, and protecting our White Moon companions, difficult. It does take a lot of power, from what I've seen, to corrupt someone, though. So at the very least, they are not all capable of doing it, immediately."

She shuddered at the thought of corruption. If corruption could be forced then...were the corrupted senshi she met just unlucky pawns? Was it possible? The man that had attacked her didn't seem too bothered by his state, rather he seemed to like attacking people. Iphigenia furrowed her eyebrows. If they were forced to Chaos, could they come back? Only one thing was certain: there was no way she would ever let something like that happen to her. Never.

"Thank you, I." She paused and shifted on her feet. It was a lot to take in. "I will think more on what you've told me."

She turned on her heel, ready to leave.

<3 I think we can wrap this up and start something new in a bit - maybe Camelot can show her his patrol route or teach her some stuff about knights and visit his wonder? : D
