One of the more expensive rooms, it is actually two private rooms with a common sitting area and common bathroom. Tall ceilings with large wooden bedposts to support the draped fabric. A few windows to appreciate the view from and to let some sunlight filter in.

Amaya entered her room, and swept over it with her eyes. "I'll take this room." She pointed to the one further from the door. "But first I'm going to take a bath."

Making her way to the bathroom, she turned the light on, shut the door lightly, and turned the hot water one. After a nice shower, I should be able to sleep well. She thought as she stepped into the hot water, and let it relax her. She washed her hair and puzzled over the things she still had to do. Well so far no progress on why we're here, but there are certainly many interesting people here. Hopefully this wont take too long, I don't want to be away from the bears for too long. They might forget who's in charge. She looked at her outstretched hand as she ran her fingers through her hair. She missed her large paws. These human hands were so dainty, they were cute, but didn't carry the power she was accustomed to. She could be-head a human with the body like she had now, with just a single smack of her paws as a bear. Her fangs could pierce the hardest seal pelt and the flesh of other bears if need be. She was the Queen among the top of the food chain.

[I know, I just forgot to reply is all. Sorry.]

Armel bowed to his queen as he acknowledged her choice in bedrooms before he checked the hotel suite. It was imperative that he knew the rooms inside and out and set guard for any blind spots that might appear. The safety of his queen was his top priority while the second was her comfort. The rooms were as the pictures on the computer monitor, though the kitchenette did not contain food in it. He would shop later for meats and other ingredients for his queen's meals. He could not have her dining with common vermin again like this morning.

However, now that they were in their adjoining rooms and his queen was settled to relax, Armel knew he must as well. As such, he removed his heavy coat and hung it in the closet of his room. It was pointless to be dressed for the elements when the very environment was controlled in the room by a simple button. And once his queen finished bathing, he would wait until she slept before he would rest as well. Then he would shop later for food and clothing. In this area, lighter clothing was better for his queen to wear than the cold environment of their home.

[Loiiy, what should the room number be for them?]

[No problem! ]

Amaya finished her bath and wrapped herself in a soft white robe provided by the hotel. She looked around as she stepped back into her room, and saw Armel doing his search and getting settled. "Armel," she called lightly. "I am heading to bed. Goodnight."

She stepped into her bedroom and lightly closed the door, and slipped into bed. The mattress was comfortable, and she slipped into sleep easily.

[They're on the 5th floor right, so maybe 511? ]

[I like 511, I was actually thinking of using that one myself.]

"Good night, my queen." Armel bowed to his queen once she emerged from her shower and bid him good night before she settled herself into her bedroom. He did not move from his spot until he was sure his queen was comfortably sleeping in her bed. Then he checked the suite once more before grabbing his satchel containing his money. He glanced back at the living area as he opened the door and left the room. It was time to shop.

[Exit Armel to Town Square.]

[Enter Armel with several hotel staff members.]

Armel, with the aid of several strong hotel staff members, carried his grocery produce to the inn suite his queen shared with him. The produce totaled five grocery carts, which the inn returned to the grocery store for him upon his request. The bodyguard tipped each of the staff members for their help and dismissed them with instructions that he would summon them again later. At moments such as these, he realized his queen needed a motor vehicle to travel in and to prevent such interactions with lesser beings.

In the meantime, Armel packed away the various fruits and vegetables into the empty refrigerator. He had bought all his queen's favorite berries and planned on baking her favorite dessert with them. It would be a great treat for her, especially when he bought some of her least favorite, but necessary plants. Even if his queen disliked them, for her health, she needed to eat them. As such, the polar bear started preparations for dinner. Along with the produce, he bought eggs, flour, and other baking material, including cooking utensils such as pots and pans. He quickly prepared the dough he would use for her bread and dessert, leaving it to rise for the next several hours. As he waited, he would return to the clothing boutique because it would be open by the time he arrived.

I shall check by Miss Cameron's suite. he thought as he silently tidied up the kitchen as not to disturb his queen's much needed rest. She is near my queen's measurements and befriending her would improve his queen's relations with the people of this town. Once the suite was back in order, Armel locked the door behind him again, hanging up the Do Not Disturb sign on the handle, before leaving.

[Exit Armel to Rose Cameron's room.]

Amaya awoke with a beam of sun lighting her room with a lovely glow. She smiled and stretched, then slipped from the sheets. She was very pleased to note the scent of her favourite dessert in the air. Still lacking clothes to wear other then what she wore yesterday, she kept on the fluffy white robe and used her fingers to comb out her light hair. She sang a tune with no words, and when all the tangles were out, she exited her room and into the main sitting room and kitchen she shared with Armel.

"Looks delicious." She mumbled, peeking at the bread in the oven. Armel, it seemed, had stocked their apartment with all the necessary foods and even the herbs she wished he would have forgotten. But not Armel, he was too thorough.

[Enter Armel (from Quirky Clothing) with several hotel staff members carrying his clothing purchases and meat products.]

Upon his return to the inn, Armel was greeted by several staff members after, he presumed, they saw all the bags and boxes he and Miss Cameron had brought with them from the clothing boutique. To add to his luggage, the order of meat he purchased from the grocer finally arrived. If he was in his natural state, Armel could have easily taken the clothing and meat to the inn suite his queen shared with him. However, it was not appropriate in such an environment, so he had to once again rely on the inn staff to carry his purchases to the suite where his queen waited. At that time, he left the inn lobby by parting ways with Miss Cameron. He would have ordered one of the bellboys to carry her purchases to her room as well, yet he was sure her pride would not allow such actions.

Once in front of the suite, Armel unlocked the door and ordered the staff to silently follow after him as he announced his return to his queen.
"Your Majesty, I have returned. I pray you rested well." He motioned for the men carrying the meats to leave them in the kitchen and the women carrying the clothes by his bedroom door. He would not allow anyone near his queen's chambers, even if they were mere humans and variations thereof.

As the staff left, the bodyguard gave them each paper currency amounting to 20 dollars each. Surely with such pocket change they would be justified with their work. Once they were gone, Armel approached the oven and peeked into its window.
"My apologies for my unexcused absence, Your Majesty. And for the humans. I thought it best to shop for sustenance and weather-appropriate clothing for you." His pastry and bread were now ready to cool down. Pulling on a pair of oven mitts, the guard turned off the oven and opened its door. The floor of heat engulfed his hands, but the mitts protected his human hands from its damage. He placed the trays containing his baked goods onto the cooling rack beside the oven before turning his attention to the meats lying about the kitchen. "Please allow me to finish preparing tonight's meal. It won't take more than an hour after I prepare the meats for storage," he said as he rolled up his shirt sleeves and started stacking the packaged meats into the freezer, keeping the lamb chops, sirloins and tenderloins, as well as the 25-lb turkey out.

Armel glanced at his queen every time he spoke, observing her reactions to the meat he chose to serve her and the servings. Surely she understood he was cooking for more than two bears.
"Miss Rose Cameron aided in my clothing shopping endeavors. She also provided a means of transport to hasten my return to your side, Your Majesty." Rewarding Miss Cameron with money would not suit the young shapeshifter's tastes, he was sure of that after spending a short amount of time in her presence and he was sure his queen understood as well. Thanks for her assistance would come in fine company and delicious food.

"So I assume you offered her an invitation to join us for dinner, to thank her for her kindness?" To do anything less would be rude, Amaya thought to herself. And she certainly wasn't interested in offending anyone so soon into her journey. She watched as her guard began lifting and moving the meat, enjoying the view. She was hungry now, and the scents of the cooking food were making her hungry.

If it was just the two of them, she would have told him not to go to the trouble to cook them. As a bear, she was more then comfortable with raw meat. But they would be joined by a guest, so cooked the meat should be. "Was there anything you found today that would be suitable to wear for dinner?" She asked him, standing up and making her way over to the clothes, to poke around and look at them.

Armel nodded, thus affirming his queen's guess. It was unnecessary to speak when his queen was correct and it would be a waste of energy. To burden his queen with words would take energy from her. To hear him speak would burden her. Instead, he focused on efficiently cooking dinner for his queen and her dinner guest. As he finished adding the last of the spices to the meats and the vegetables, he glanced at the clock across the room. He was on time.

Starting on the other dishes for the dinner, Armel glanced at his queen as she asked about dinner attire.
"The bag containing two black boxes. The one with the aqua-colored ribbon holds a Maranda burnout lace dress and the one with the white ribbon contains a white knitted shawl. In the same bag contains a shoe box with metallic silver sandals. I believe those will be suitable for our dinner guest," he said as he prepared a hearty vegetable soup for his queen, including her least favorite, but necessary vegetables. He could not allow his queen to neglect her health. "However, if you wish for different attire, I shall indicate the contents of each box and bag for you to decide."

Turning down the range to allow the soup to simmer, Armel turned his attention to the rice he had sitting in water and proceeded to drain and shift it before adding the appropriate amount of salt and spices to it. Then he transferred the rice to the large pot he had prepared on the stove. He added five cups of water and placed a lid on it before lowering the temperature under the pot. While the soup and rice cooked, Armel returned his attention to the dessert he let cool. "Dinner shall be ready in another fifteen minutes, You Majesty," he said while glancing at the clock once again. It left him with ten minutes to spare if all went well. He could change his attire once all was in order. "Would you allow me to ring for her room once everything is prepared?" The dessert was to perfection and the bread was now nestled in a cloth-covered bread bowl. As he set the dinner table for his queen and her guest.

Opening the boxes Armel indicated, Amaya was pleased to see he had been right. These would be appropriate for tonight. She picked up all the boxes, and headed for her room, pausing with her hand on the door. "Yes, please call for her. I will be done changing in a moment."

She vanished into her room, and slipped into the dress. It fit perfectly, and she admired herself in the mirror. Then she added the white shawl on top and the delicate silver shoes. Then, being resourceful as she was, she grabbed the blue and white ribbons off of the two boxes, and wound them into her hair. It was braided and pulled up into a bun, leaving a few ends of the ribbon the dangle behind her blond hair. With one final look in the mirror, her appearance had her stamp of approval, and she exited her room. "I'm dressed." She notified her guard.

[It's time for dinner!]

Armel said nothing as his queen left to her chamber. He had his orders and he would follow them. No need to waste breath. The food was now ready. The timer he set for the meats dinged and were now set out to cool for they could not be too hot for his queen and her guest. Food must be served in a pleasant manner. Too hot food would disturb his queen and her guest and it would humiliate her. To upset her and her guest...unthinkable.

As the food cooled to an appropriate temperature, Armel called Miss Cameron's room. He waited for several rings, but the phone went to voicemail. Frowning, Armel guessed Miss Cameron was either refreshing herself in the bathroom and thus unable to hear him, or she was already on her way to their room. However, to be careful, Armel decided to leave a message for the young shapeshifter.
"Um...Rose? It's Armel. Could you come to Her Majesty's room in five or so minutes? It's room 511, just so you know," he said. It still made him uncomfortable to address her by her given name.

[Enter from Rose Cameron's room]

Knocking on the door, Rose called out, "Lady Amaya? Sir Armel? It's Rose ... err, Miss Cameron. Sir Armel asked me to join you for dinner." They probably heard her, being bears, but it was best to let them know for sure it was her.

Waiting patiently outside for Queen Amaya or Sir Armel to answer, Rose could smell the food, even from here. Goddesses it smelled delicious. Remembering that Armel had said he'd be making dinner, she decided that he was just good at whatever he decided to do.

Armel had finished dressing himself, adjusting the cuffs on his shirt sleeves, when he heard the knocking at the door. He knew who it was before he heard her voice, but it was pleasant to know she had manners. At the door, Armel opened it and ushered in Miss Cameron, noting she was wearing one of the dresses she purchased during their trip to the tiny boutique in town. "Greetings, Miss Cameron. Please come in." He stepped aside to allow the shapeshifter to freely enter as she pleased. "Just a few minutes ago, I left a voice message on your inn phone. I was unsure if you were in your room or not," he said as he closed the door behind her. It would be up to her whatever she decided to do with the message. Delete it, save it, ignore it. It did not concern him.
